Frightfully Delightful Halloween Candy Box

Hey High Hopes Friends!! Hope you’re kickin’ off your week in a great way!
Halloween can certainly be frightful for some! But…when Halloween is “Frightfully Delightful, it takes on a whole new meaning!
My idea of “Frightfully Delightful” is this sweet little candy box with High Hopes Stamps,"Joys of the Seasons" new release, "Vampire Treat" hiding under it's cover.
I colored the Vampire image with Watercolors and
Spectrum Noir Markers: FS2, IG10, DR5, DR7
The colorful Halloween Papers are from Buncha Scraps Boo Crew Collection
I used Halloween Fog, Orange Purple Stripes, Green Slime, and Spiders & Webs. The base of the box was made with Kraft Paper for the base of the box.
I used a box template from Silhouette by Jamie Lane. You can find her tutorial here
I finished off the box with sheer black ribbon, green glitter ribbon, and black mesh.

I stamped the sentiment "Frightfully Delightful" with High Hopes Stamps new release "Joys of the Seasons" and attached it to the ribbons and topped off the box and the Vampire with YNS Black Glitter Gumdrops from One Crazy Stamper. LOVE those gumdrops!!

This would make a great gift for your favorite little Trick or Treaters!

Thanks for visitng!

Boo Pals!

High High Hopes Fans!
Another terrific Tuesday and here and it's my turn to post! I love this cute little stamp called "Boo Pals". It's one of the newly released images from the "Joys of the Season" collection.

For this card, I used a 5x5 spider web themed die cut with my Silhouette machine. I added a piece of paper from the Authentique Moonit 6x6 collection in the middle and popped my fussy cut image up with foam squares. All I added was a ribbon and a candy corn button to finish off my card. I wanted to keep it simple and let the image be the focal point.
On the inside I used the sentiment called "Frightfully Delightful".
 Copics used:
Ghost: C0, C17
Cat: C1, C3, C5, C7
Tombstone: W1, W3, W5
RIP: W5, W7

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Crafting!

Santa Bob

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Here's a card I made to hopefully get you thinking about the upcoming Holiday Season!
 Lisa

This is Santa Bob (TT001) from the New Release - Joys of the Season.  Santa is a little glittery this year! LOL!

I coloured this image with Tombow Markers and Water.  After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Crystal - Ice Stickles to the fur on Santa Bob's hat, pompom, coat, and cuffs.  Santa sure sparkles now!!!   But you can never have too much sparkle on holiday cards!  The designer paper is from Carta Bella - Christmas Time 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU Black Cardstock.  A piece of glitter tape was also added under the image.  Foam tape was used to attach the image to add some dimension to this card.  To complete this design, some silver pearls were added to the top left and bottom right corners of the image.

Supplies Used:

InkTombow Markers - 847, 443, N55, 850, 969, N95, 491, N15, 296, 942, 856, and 743.  Image stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.

Paper - SU Black Cardstock, and Carta Bella - Christmas Time 6x6 Paper Pad.

Misc - Crystal Stickles, Silver Pearls, Glitter Tape, Water brush, Foam Tape, and Glue Dots.

Thanks for stopping by!

Snowman Stumble

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  Here's another one of my cards using the Joys of the Season New Release Stamps...
Jane

This is Snowman Stumble (TT014) and Have An Ice Day Sentiment (HH007). Such an adorable Snowman!!! I think Snowmen images may become one of my favourite images to colour and decorate for this upcoming holiday season!

I coloured Snowman Stumble with Tombow Markers and water, then used Twinkling H20 - Heavenly for the white parts of the snowman. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to his nose and skate blades.  I needed more sparkle after that was complete, so out came the Stickles.  I used Crystal - Ice Stickles on the fur of the hat and pompom.  Wow, does this snowman ever glitter and shine!  The image was then cut down to size and layered with some green and black cardstock.

For the sentiment, I was really wanting to try a technique that I have never done before.  I am not certain that this is a new technique, but it is new to me.  I started by stamping the sentiment on a scrap piece of paper with black ink.  I took the stamped sentiment and photocopied it on white cardstock using my office laser printer.  After I had copied the image of the sentiment, I cut it down to size and took a small piece of Heidi Swapp Silver Reactive Foil and laid it (shiny side up) on top of my copied sentiment.  I ran this through my "antique" office laminator.  LOL!  I am not fortunate enough to own one of those new Heidi Swapp foil laminators, so I thought I could use what I already have.  It's an old laminator, but it worked like a charm for this project!!!  After peeling off the foil from the sentiment, I decided it needed more sparkle too.  You can never have too much sparkle on holiday cards!  The Zig - Wink of Stella clear glitter pen was used on the sentiment's snow and in between the lines of the border.  It is rather difficult to see in the picture, but with the light silver foil and little bit of clear glitter, the results were amazing!  What a fun and easy technique!!!

The pattern paper is from Echo Park - 'Tis the Season 6x6 Paper Pad.  Also, some black, green, red and white cardstock was used to create this card. A red felt snowflake was added, along with a crystal rhinestone in the centre.  Five red rhinestones were placed below the image.  Foam tape was also used under the image and sentiment to create some dimension on this card, along with a piece of red ric-rac ribbon.

Supplies Used:

Ink - Tombow Markers - 847, 856, 076, 126, N35, N55, 491, and N60.  Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder and Twinkling H2O-Heavenly for the white parts of the snowman.

Paper - SU Black. Green, Red and White Cardstock, Echo Park - 'Tis the Season 6x6 Paper Pad.

MiscGlossy Accents, Crystal - Ice Stickles, Zig-Wink of Stella Glitter Clear Pen, Heidi Swapp-Silver Reactive Foil, Office Laser Printer, Office Laminator, SU - Little Felt Flurries, Red and Crystal Rhinestones, Red Ric-Rac Ribbon, Water BrushFoam Tape, and Glue Dots.

It Fainted - Honest!!

                                   Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

My post today features Wasn't Me one of the very cute new Stamps in the Joys of the Season release.

I have to be honest, I had an extremely hard time getting through colouring and assembling this card because I was giggling to myself (and sometimes out loud) the whole time.

I had a cat named Smokey who decided launching himself from the top of my desk, across the room and into my artificial Christmas tree was a cool thing to do. There is still a permanent "hole" in the tree today. He would also steal all the balls off of it and we found most of them when we moved - he hid them under a dresser in our bedroom. In his later years, laying under the tree was his favourite place to be. I love when a stamp can bring back so many good memories!

                                                Donna

After colouring my image, I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and doodled some paw prints  around the edge. I printed my sentiment from my computer and cut it out with a fishtail banner die. I created my own background paper using a paw print stamp - I think there would be evidence around the tree even though our friends here tried to hide it!
I finished off my card with a Christmas tree brad, some gumdrops and red checkered ribbon. The finished card size is 5x5.

Have an Ice Day

Howdy -

Michelle O here and this week I did a little winter card with one of the new High Hopes Stamps images - "Skating with Teddy"

Isn't she adorable? I colored with Copics (colors below) Then for the sparkle around the hat and coat I added Rangers Diamond Stickles. For the ice I went with a pale blue Viva Decor Paint Pen. Gives it a slick ice look for sure. I cut with an oval Spellbinders Nestie, then a mat of another Spellbinders die. More of the Viva Decor for some embellished pearl dots. the papers are all from Kaisercraft's Bundle of Joy collection. Normally baby papers, but the colors are wonderful for this winter card. I sewed down the layers with matting of off white card stock with the dark blue green teal card stock.

The band in the middle has two bands of Martha Stewart Embroidered Floral punch. The sentiment is a great new High Hopes sentiment "Have an Ice Day" love it - and I colored a little touch of light blue for that cold ice feeling.

Copic colors used -

A fun winter card -

September 1st is here; the children will be back in school next week and we have a new challenge here at High Hopes Rubber Stamps as well as some exciting news.  The challenge theme is Christmas/Halloween/Fall.

First of the winner from our July challenge Janine B is this month's guest designer and here is her card using Motorin By Santa which was coloured with Copics, after being stamped with Memento Ink.  All the papers are from her Christmas scraps.  The layout is SC552 from Splitcoaststampers, but without a sentiment.  Embossing folders from Sizzix and Cuttlebug were used along with Spellbinders circle dies.

Now for the exciting news.  The newest release of High Hopes Rubber Stamps is hot off the press and ready to go.

To help celebrate this newest release of our "Joys of Seasons" release the gals from both the High Hopes and OCS Design Teams are hosting a Blog Hop from the 1st to the 5th of this month and a winner/winners will be chosen on the 7th.  Make sure you visit each gal to see what new release they have on their blog and then go back to the challenge posts and leave a comment on the OCS or High Hopes blogs.
