Heard the news...

Happy Sunday!

Today is the last Sunday of June and that means the last of my 5 birthday cards from this month..
I came across this cute Newspaper Boy in my stash and it's a great stamp for a boy's birthday!
The sentiment is made (simply) in Word and added to a black stripe of cardstock, before glued all together on the card.
I had some fun star paperclips in my stash as well, and they fit perfectly with my colours!

On the inside I added the same dessinpaper and the rest of the sentiment..

To make this card, I've used:
*High Hopes Rubber Stamps: Newspaper boy
*Bazzill Basics: kraft and black cardstock
*dessinpapers from stash
*paperclip stars from stash
*other: Pergaglue, Copic paper, black ink, Copics used:

Party Girl

Party Girl Florence is on her way to be the life of the party!
I need a lot of Birthday cards in July and I think this one will be perfect for one of my young adult nieces don't you? Florence just makes me giggle with her party balloons and of course she had to make sure to wear a touch of bling!

I coloured Florence with alcohol markers and cut her out using a classic square die in a diamond shape. I found a fun patterned paper combo using two different 6 x 6 pads from Photo Play and cut them to fit the size of my card. You can't see it well in the photo but I added some sparkle to the balloons with a sparkle pen and her necklace is blinged up with Stickles.
I stamped the sentiment twice so it could be seen on both sides of the diamond shape. Some matching glittery ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Party Girl Florence - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Happy Birthday Script - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Summer Bucket List, Party Girl - Photo Play

Party Cow

Howdy - MichelleO here today and this week I found another fun image from my High Hopes Stamps stash of favorites. This week I colored up Party Cow

Now after having some fun with Pig Party last week - I just couldn't resist Party Cow this week. Now I use this dancing cow more than some others... he just makes me wanna turn on some music and dance! And how can you now enjoy a dancing cow? And this one boogies down. I colored with Copics (colors below) and then found the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Don't stop the music". I kept things a little simple, just a black card stock base, and one pattern paper from Paper Studios Petals and Blooms collection. I used my sewing machine and attached the image with a zig zag stitch.

I played with flowers and well..... just didn't feel it. Now why I went with lots of dots of Viva Decor Paint I have no idea. A little confetti maybe? But I was just feeling the music and went with some crazy fun I suppose. Fun image that can be used for a birthday or just perk me up card. I just love this dancing cow!

Copic colors used -

I hope you had a little dancing fun with him as well and he brought a smile.

Flower Frame!

Hello HH Fans!
Today I am sharing with you a card I made using the High Hopes stamp called "Thinking of You"! This is an adorable flower frame that comes with the sentiment. I chose to mask off the sentiment as I wanted to use the sweet little button in the center instead.
I used a simple layered design with a Loopy Square die cut frame. My papers are from the Bo Bunny "Sweet Clementine" 6x6 collection. A ribbon bow and some enamel dots finish off my card.
Here you can see my popped up layers. I popped up the loopy frame and the stamped area, it just adds such a nice dimension to the card.
On the decorated inside I used the High Hopes sentiment stamp called "Quiet Hearts".
Copics Used:
Flowers: R20, R21, R32, R37, R39, C5, Y17
Leaves: YG17, YG23, YG67
Outline: B00, C4

Happy Stamping!

Hugs and Fishes

It is officially summer and time to hit the beach!
Willy is underwater but taking advantage of the warmer weather to build his first sand castle of the season.

After colouring all of the stamps with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut and used a classic circle die to cut them out. Next the card base was formed and the patterned paper pieces were cut and each piece was temporarily laid on the to the design so I could see how things looked. Bubbles the fish at the top was stamped on to the paper so I could get her bubbles included and then the fussy cut stamp was glued in to place.
The sentiment was stamped and cut to fit and put in place using foam pop up dots.

Happy Belated Birthday!

Welcome HH Fans;

We have all done it, forget or be late with someone's birthday.  So to add to my birthday stash, I have a Happy Belated Birthday card for today's post.

Today's card is 5 1/4' x 4 1/2', a size that I haven't used for a really long time and I'm happy with how it turned out.

To obtain the decoupage effect, I stamped the Pansy Arrangement from High Hopes Stamps twice on XPress It Blending Cardstock, and coloured them both with copic markers.  I cut one using the Scalloped Die and the other one only the main flower arrangement was cut out and mounted with glue dots.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Pansy Arrangement (R014), Happy Belated Birthday! (High Hopes Stamps)
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo BLack
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP - Really Rainbow (Lawn Fawn)

Retired Raymond

Raymond is retired and happy that the nice weather is here so he can golf - his favourite thing to do.
I'm glad Raymond doesn't live where I do.....it has been so wet he wouldn't have gotten much golfing in yet, kind of like most of the people I know who golf. Hopefully the nice weather comes soon and stays so Raymond can it the greens.

After colouring Raymond with alcohol markers and Prisma pencils I hand fussy cut him and set him aside. Next I found patterned paper from MME and cut the pieces to fit my design. I stamped the sentiment in weathered wood distress ink and threaded twine through it. I added Raymond and popped his golf ball up with a foam pop dot. Some matching enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Retired Raymond - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Sentiment Set #4 - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Pig Party

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I have another fun Birthday card this week for High Hopes Stamps... this week I pulled out an older stamp "Pig Party" This little guy cracks me up. Now he doesn't have anything in his hoof... so he can hold a lot of different things... but I figured a cake kinda fit with this little piggie!

So I stamped the cake, then masked it off and stamped the pig over it to appear to be one image. I colored with my Copics (colors below) The Sentiments "It's Your Day!" and "Got Cake" are fun!
I sewed down the image to a pattern paper from Paper Studios. Love the Barn feel to it. A dark pink card stock as a base, and then I added some older mulberry flowers with silver brads.

Copic colors used -

Fun card... and now I am craving cake... Hmmmm.

Cast Away!

Happy Tuesday HH Fans!
Meet "Anthony James" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This adorable stamp reminds me of my Nephew when he was little at the Cottage. My Dad would take him to a small stream attached to a lake and let him fish. The sunfish were plenty and would bite often. It was perfect because young children don't have the patience to sit all day waiting for a bite.  Now they weren't very big fish but I bet if you ask my Nephew he's say they were huge LOL!
My design today is very simple with just a few paper layers. I used Designer paper from the CC Designs "Hearts and Dots and the YNS "Summer Plaid" 6x6 collection. A bit of natural twine and some Black Diamond Stickles on his buttons finish off my design.
Here's the decorated inside using more of the designer papers and a sentiment from the High Hopes "Sentiment Set #1".
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E04, E11, E21, E20
Hair & boots: E44, E47, E49
Outfit: YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99/ YR02, YR04, YR06/ Y21
Pole: E35, Silver Wink of Stella, N6
