Norman Goat!

Hello!
Baby Goats always get all the attention but I think the High Hopes Image "Norman Goat" deserves some love too LOL! I mean look at him.... cute or what!! I picture him being the Matriach of the family with all the little goats surrounding him as he tells the tales of his life!
I chose papers today from the Echo Park's "A Dog's Tale" 6x6 collection. After stamping and colouring "Norman" with my Copic Markers, I cut him out using the CDD Fancy Frame die set. I inked all the edges of my papers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink for added dimension.  Don't you just love the HH Sentiment "Humor Me". I think it suits Norman well! Some Burlap ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Goat: W4, W5, W6, W8, R20/ E43, E44
Top: BG72, BG75, BG78
Pants: R24, R29, R56/  Y35, Y38, Y26

Hugs to you!

Happy Monday!!!

I'm an early morning riser & one of my fav things to do is sit outside with my morning coffee and just listen to the birds chirping away.  We feed our little flying friends all year long, love watching them.  We have a little birdhouse in the backyard that our friend made for us.  Each year we get little families of new birds....it's amazing to watch.  I'm always trying to plant new plants that attract hummingbirds, I think they are just so amazing.

I couldn't wait to colour this new release called Hummingbird from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I sat looking at it for a while to decide on my colour scheme...ok maybe not for too long lol...my fav color combo bright green & blue green came to mind.  I LOVE PURPLE so I just had to made those beautiful little flowers PURPLE.

I went with the High Hopes Hugs & Hugs sentiment because I can now use this card for a variety of occasions.

Copic Color Combos

Leaves - YG17, YG09, YG07, YG05

Flowers - V09, V06, V05, V04

Flower Centres - YG25, YG23, YG21

Hummingbird - N9, N7, N5, N3, BG09, BG07, BG05, YG25, YG23, YG21

After I colored the stamp I die cut it with an MFT circle die then added the scalloped die cut which is an old one from Whimsy.  A few sparkly self adhesive dots & a wee piece of ribbon to finished off this clean & simple card (CAS)

Have a wonderful day!

Lil' Fire Chief

Howdy - MichelleO here and I Love this adorable image from High Hopes Stamps - "Lil Fire Chief"

Cute right? I colored with my Copics and highlighted with pencils (colors below) The image is cut out with just a small border around it. I like how it pops off the page! The pattern paper is from MME and I thought the arrows in all different directions gave a lot of direction to the image. I sewed it down on a red paper, then a cream colored card stock base. A border across the bottom of the page with the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "I'm Responding to a Birthday Emergency" A few enamel dots for fun and a great card for a guy or fire chief loving girl.

Happy Saturday!!!

We released 19 brand new images this week & I decided to play with one of the new Willa's.  There are 4 in the collection.  I can't decide which one is my favorite.  I colored all 4 of them just couldn't help myself they are so cute.  This is Raindrops Willa with the Dot Rain or Shine sentiment.

I wanted to make a shape card a little different for the standard card.  I used my cloud dies from MFT to cut the edges of the card base.  I like it & will surely use the idea again.

Here is a side view, I popped up both the image & the sentiment for the CAS style card.

You're My Little Cuppy-Cake!

Welcome Everyone;

Another month is over and it is hard to believe after weeks of  working and schooling from home, our communities are slowly beginning to open a bit more.  The children are also celebrating the new normal for the summer break.

For today's card, I'm using the adorable Sitting Party Buddy from High Hopes Stamps, who is definitely celebrating.  After colouring the image with copic markers, I cut him out using the Distress Rectangles Die from Spellbinders.  Instead of using multiple design paper, I used a piece of Emerald Waterfall from Deco Foil with a sheet of "Where's the Party" foil mate from Gina K Designs and ran this through my MINC Machine.  Some twine and enamel dots finished off this CAS card.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps: Sitting Party Buddy (S196), Cuppa-Cake (F222) -- High Hopes Stamps

Really!!!

It seems Bob isn't sure about having another Birthday! I wonder if he stopped counting on his 29th Birthday like I did?! <smile> I gave him a double layer chocolate cake so I hope that helps.
July is a big Birthday month in my family and Birthday Bob from High Hopes is perfect for the masculine cards I will need for the "older" people on my list.

I coloured Bob with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. I added some clear sparkle pen to the balloon, candles and flames and Stickles to his hat for a bit of Birthday sparkle.
I set him aside and created my card base by layering patterned paper from Lawn Fawn and adding some twine.
After stamping the sentiment - which is one long sentiment, I cut the word "really" off to put at the top of the card.

The circle behind him was cut using two circle dies from matching cardstock and I added Bob with some 3D foam pop dots.  Enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Birthday Bob - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Birthday Again - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Spring Fling, Winter Perfectly Plaid - Lawn Fawn

Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Hammermill 100lb cover stock, clear Spectrum Sparkle pen, Star Dust Stickles, twine, 3D foam pop dots - Forever In Time,  enamel dots - Gina Marie Designs

Happy Birthday To Ye!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Peg Leg Pete - R088 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Pirates Birthday - F147 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Peg Leg Pete is showing off his map of previous adventures from his pirating days around the Caribbean. He's gathered quite a treasure of findings. But, when you are a pirate, there is always more places and ships out there to plunder. LOL!

To make my card this week, I used Scrapberry's - The Pirate's Treasure (6x6 Paper Collection) paper for the main background which fit onto a card base of 6" x 6" perfectly.

I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock and then coloured it in with Copic markers. Next, I fussy cut around the entire image and used a black marker to go around all of the edges.

To create the look of a ship in the background, I cut 2 small pieces of paper from Joy Crafts - Wood Texture and Joy Crafts Tough Textures miniature 4 x 9 designs. Then I joined them both together using 2-sided tape. Next, I ran both pieces through my Cuttlebug using My Creative Time - More Stitched Circles die cut. I popped up both the image and the small half circle background with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape and placed it in the centre of the card.

Once again, I used my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink for the sentiment. I taped down the sentiment onto some scrap red cardstock and bumped it up on the card with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. Lastly, to finish it off, I went around the entire outer edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Rusty Hinge and added a few Kraftin Kimmie - Seashore Dots.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Peg Leg Pete - R088  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Pirates Birthday - F147 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Rusty Hinge
Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Scrapberry's - The Pirate's Treasure (6x6 Paper Collection), Joy Crafts - Artist Trading Card - Wood Texture (2-3/8x3-3/8" - 85mm x 60mm) and Joy Crafts - Artist Trading Card - Tough Textures (2-3/8x3-3/8" - 85mm x 60mm))
Die Cuts: My Creative Time - More Stitched Circles
Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape, Kraftin Kimmie - Seashore Dots

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Skin: E21, E11, E04, E00, E000, R22, R20
Hair: E29, E25, E23
Hat: B99, B69, B66
Coat: B99, B69, B66, R59, R37, R35
Shirt and Vest: E35, E33, E31, C2, C1, C0, Colorless Blender
Socks: E33, E31
Shoe and Sash: C8, C6, C4
Sword: C3, C2, C1
Hope you like it and have a fantastic week!

Shelbert!

Happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing the adorable "Shelbert" from High Hopes Stamps! He's so happy it's someone's birthday and he's ready to celebrate!
I was going for a clean and simple card. I started by using an embossing folder and embossed the white background with a diamond pattern. I added a bit of colour with the polka dot paper and inked the edges of everything with some Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink. A few enamel dots and twine from the balloon to Shelbert's hand and I was finished. I always struggle with CAS cards as I love to use lots of bright fun bright papers with lots of layers.
I die cut the "Turtally Awesome" sentiment also from High Hopes with a balloon die and added twine as the string.
Copics Used:
Turtle: YG01, YG03, YG05, YG07/ E13, E15, E18/ W1, W3
Balloon: B24, B26, B28, B29

High Flying Ace

It's a bird! It's a plane!......errr nope it's Lg. Flying Ace from High Hopes Rubber Stamps getting ready to hit the skies in his vintage plane. Ace is perfect for Just Because, Sending Smiles, and Birthday cards to name a few!
He is so fun to colour and just made me smile with his toothy grin and big thumbs up!

After colouring Ace with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut him and ran a black marker around the edge to get any white I had missed. Paper layers from an old Echo Park pad were perfect with fun modern and vintage airplanes and a pop of orange. I used a rectangle die to cut out the background to go behind Ace using a rectangle die and added some stitched clouds.
I wanted an airplane element to put in the sky but I couldn't find anything airplane in my stash - gasp! So I took a piece of the airplane paper and fussy cut a vintage plane to put in the sky. I went with the vintage style, open cockpit plane because it ties in perfectly with Ace's scarf, helmet and goggles. Some enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Lg. Flying Ace - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Half The Fun - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Jack & Jill - Echo Park

Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Hammermill 100lb cover stock, stitched cloud die - YNS, rectangle die - Kat Scrapiness, enamel dots - Gina Marie Designs

Buddy's Surprize!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a birthday card using Buddy Bear's Surprise - S193 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Shhh Party! - H038 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Buddy is not very good at keeping secrets though or spelling! LOL! He is however, ready to bring you presents and party on!

To make my card this week, I started off with a card base of 5.5" x 4.25".  I love this background party paper by Echo Park called "It's Your Birthday". I cut it the same size as the base card and then used 2-sided tape to attach it to the base. Then I inked around the entire outside edges of the card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet.

I used My Creative Time - Stitched Squares Inside and Out to cut some Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Then I used my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the image. I coloured in the main image with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment onto some yellow cardstock with Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and then used Your Next Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die Set to die cut it out. Next, I ran both my image and sentiment through the Xyron Creative Station to turn them both into stickers. I applied both of these to some Violet cardstock and trimmed a small border. Lastly, I popped up both the image and the sentiment using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Buddy Bear's Surprise - S193  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Shhh Party! - H038 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet

Die Cuts: My Creative Time - Stitched Squares Inside and Out, Your Next Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214)
Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape, Xyron Creative Station
