Tom's Plea

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  Well, the summer is just flying by and before too long fall will be here.  Along with fall comes Thanksgiving.  Here is a fun card just for that occasion...
 Jane

This is Tom's Plea (R201) and Happy Thanksgiving sentiment (G089).  This image makes me chuckle - poor Tom!  He does taste good at Thanksgiving dinner though...lol!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image and background (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, Glossy Accents were added on Tom's beak.  Once this had dried, I proceeded to fussy cut the image.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the layering piece is SU Marine Mist cardstock.  The designer paper is from Doodlebug - Happy Harvest 6x6 Paper Pad.  Foam tape was applied to the main image to help make it pop out a bit and add some dimension to this card. A grass edger punch was used to create some grass for Tom to sit on.  The sentiment was stamped with versamark ink, and heat embossed with SU Tangerine Tango embossing powder.  Foam tape was also used to adhere the sentiment.  To complete this card, some paper flowers with pewter brads in the centres were added.   Hope this inspires you to start on some fall/Thanksgiving projects!

Happy Fall

I can't believe it's Thursday again already!

As I write this post, we are in the middle of a brutal heat wave. We have had temps with humidity feeling into the 40's most of the week. To play with a fall image definitely helped me cool off and it reminded me the cooler, sweater weather is coming!

This week my card features "Tommy's Fall Fun" and the "Happy Fall Y'all" sentiment. I have been known to jump in a pile of leaves the odd time with my nieces and nephews <wink>. I think a pile of leaves brings out the kid in all of us doesn't it?

Close Up

I started by colouring my image with alcohol markers cut it out using a stitched rectangle die. I used some bright, fun paper and added some clouds, a fence and some grass to create my background. I added a big leaf - out of my comfort zone for sure - to the corner and added my sentiment (I only used part of the sentiment and cut it apart). I used a leaf punch to create some more falling leaves and rolled them on a pen to give them a bit of dimension. Adding my favourite - gumdrops - finishes off my card.

Wagon Full of Blessings

Howdy -MichelleO here today and for my High Hopes Stamps card we are still working with fall inspired images - and nothings feels more like fall than a Pumpkin Harvest right?

I love the fun feel of "Wagon Full of Blessings" image -

Love those little smiles! I colored with my Copics (colors below) I found papers from Penny Black Madison collection and then matched them up with Core'dinations card stock that I sanded heavily.  I matched up the image with the High Hopes Sentiment "Happy Harvest" Getting that big Pumpkin would be a Happy Harvest. I found a Large Martha Stewart Leaf punch that has a two punch feature so I could shadow the green behind the red. Then three dark red buttons for a little more embellishment.

Copic colors used -

Hope it gave you that Fall feeling and you enjoyed it -

Mice and Pumpkins!

Hello!
Happy Terrific Tuesday! Since we are using the theme Fall/ Halloween this month, I thought this set of mice next to a pumpkin was perfect to create with! They are just so darn cute! The stamp is called "Harvest Mice".
I am using paper from the Echo Park "Story of Fall" and "Dots and Stripes Fall" 6x6 collections. The sentiment is called "If Friends Were Pumpkins". I decided to paper piece the pumpkin and finished everything off with a button and a bow.
I decided to mask off the bottom part of the sentiment "If Friends Were Pumpkins" to "split" the sentiment so I could use part on the front and the rest inside my card.
Copics Used:
Mice: E31, E33, E35, R20, R11
Overalls, grass and stem: YG21, YG23, YG25, YG17
Dress: B000, B01, B02, C1
Shirts: YR21, YR24, YR27
Pumpkin: Paper pieced

Thanks for stopping by!

I can't wait till fall!

Today's card is my ode to fall!

I colored the image with prisma colored pencils and blended with gamsol and blending stumps.
The pattered paper is from Doodlebug Desings and so is the ribbon!

The sparkly dots are from Doodle Bug.
I used Spellbinder dies.

Tommy's Fall Fun

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday Friends!  Before too long, some of these will be falling...
 Lisa

This is Tommy's Fall Fun (S079) and part of Happy Fall Ya'll sentiment (G290).  Tommy is having a great time playing in all the leaves!

The image was stamped on Xpress It cardstock with a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad using my Misti Stamping Tool.  The image was coloured with Copic Markers.  Once the colouring was finished, Glossy Accents were applied on the pile of leaves and leaves in the air.  After the gloss was dry, the image was cut down to size and some SU Chocolate Chip ink was sponged on the edges.

For the card base, I chose some SU Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The designer papers are from Prima-Bohemian Bamboo and Bo Bunny-Heritage Collection 6x6 Paper Pads.  Only part of the sentiment was used to create the "Happy Fall", then punched with a SU Tag Punch.  Again, the edges of the sentiment were sponged with SU Chocolate Chip ink.  To complete this card, a bunch of dewdrops (dark vanilla) were added to create some dimension.

Supplies Used:
InkCopic Markers - E23, E27, E31, E35, E51, R39, R59, Y38, YR68, B41 and B95; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad.

Paper - Prima-Bohemian Bamboo 6x6 Paper Pad, Bo Bunny-Heritage Collection 6x6 Paper Pad, SU Chocolate Chip and White Cardstock; Xpress It Cardstock.

MiscMisti Stamping ToolGlossy Accents, SU Tag Punch, The Robin's Nest-dark vanilla dewdrops, Sponge Dauber and Glue Dots.

Thanks for stopping by!  And be sure to stop by again soon for more ideas and inspiration!
