Gnome and Snowman Friend

 Happy Friday HH Fans!

Today I'm sharing our adorable image called Gnome and Snowman Friend with the Winter Wonderland sentiment.

I chose non traditional colors for this image just for a change from the norm.  This cutie was just perfect for me because I love snowmen & gnomes.

This is really quite a clean & simple card.  I used a lovely snowflake border die cut that a friend had and spiced things up with some glitter. I cut out the image & a mat with a die then cut off the bottom for a straight finish.  This allowed me to put my sentiment straight across the bottom of the 6 x 6 card.  A few enamel dots and this cutie was all done.

Christmas Magic

The most wonderful, magical time of year is just around the corner and I am celebrating this magical time with Santa In Chimney from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

Only the magic of Christmas could help Santa fit in a chimney that is way too small, help reindeer fly and get the presents delivered in one night all over the world. It's all magic!

I stamped Santa, coloured him with Copics and hand fussy cut him and popped him up with foam dots. Stickles were added to his hat and coat trim for a touch of bling. The background is created with patterned paper from Carta Bella, a house die from Gina Marie designs and  a stitched hills die. I used a star dangle stencil to add a magical feel. This didn't quite turn out how I wanted it to because I used Stickles to add the bling and some of the squished and ran together ....but hey - it's magic <wink> and anything can happen! The sentiment was stamped and added to some matching card stock and ribbon and glitter enamel dots finish off my card.

Elf Christmas

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a Christmas card featuring Munchin Melvin Elf - M023 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) who just isn't able to resist the delicious Gingerbread cookie, paired with the sentiment Have Your Elf - H094 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps).

I remember my mom baking little Gingerbread men every year when we were little and she even let us decorate some on our own. It was always so much fun! Then it was even more fun when we were aloud to eat them. Yum! Yum!

To create the card this week, I stamped the main image and then coloured it in with Copic Markers. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image leaving a small white border. For the sentiment, I stamped it out using Versa Fine - Onyx Black ink and then embossed it using Ranger - Clear Super Fine Detail embossing powder. This was heat set using Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. Next, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Cracked Pistachio ink was used to colour the white paper to match the edging around the base of the card.

For the base card I started out with white cardstock folded in half to create a 6" x 6" card. The elf background from Doodlebug - Christmas Magic was cut to the same size as the base and adhered to it using double-sided tape. For the inside paper, Doodlebug - Christmas Magic paper was used again. Using my Cuttlebug and Creative Expressions Festive Collection - Gingerbread Man die I cut the centre piece out. I used the same die to cut out the red border as well. Then I die cut one more piece using just the large border for the white glitter background. Hot Buy Craft Smart - Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper was chosen to do this with.

To assemble the remainder of the card. I first taped the centre piece to the main red piece at the back. This was then glued to the white glitter background. The frame, main image and sentiment were added using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. To complete the card, I used some embellishments from Dress It Up - Holiday Collection and Carta Bella - Santa's Workshop.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Munchin Melvin Elf - M023 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Have Your Elf - H094 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Cracked Pistachio, Versa Fine - Onyx Black

Reindeer Games!

 Happy Tuesday HH Fans!

Today I'm sharing a little bit of Christmas with our image called Reindeer Games.  I matched up this adorable image with the Merry Christmoose, Eh! sentiment.

Instead of fussy cutting out this image on my own I used my Brother Scan N Cut.  I did have to draw a pencil line across the bottom of the image to stop the Scan N Cut from cutting out all my snow.  I just erased it after it was cut.  I used some hill dies, a birch tree, an evergreen set & a snowflake set to complete the little scene.  I only used 2 enamel dots....that's a wow for me.  The dark cardstock is actually navy blue, not sure if you can tell from the pic.  I paired the navy with a deep red cardstock for the mat.  The patterned paper is from a Winter Collection at Michael's last year.  The bottom of the patterned paper had a scene on it so I cut it off & only used the night sky portion for this card.

Copic Combos

Merry Christpaws!

 Happy Tuesday!
I'm so happy you stopped by today to see this adorable card using the "Dog Trio Block" from High Hopes Stamps! I'm a dog lover and have 2 fur babies of my own. Christmas is fun for them as they get gifts too. My one dog Ally, will even unwrap the gift if you start the corner for her. Stella just waits until Ally unwraps it and then steals it away. Then the chase is on LOL!
I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and used my Copic Markers to colour it in. Next, using a Double Roped Square die from Gina Marie, I cut out the coloured image. I thought the "Merry Christpaws" sentiment went perfect with this image! My papers today are from the Photoplay Kringle & Co. 6x6 collection. Love the non traditional red and black theme of this collection. A bit of Crystal Stickles on the image finish off my card.

Time for a little carpentry!

 Happy Monday HH Fans!!

Today I want to share this great masculine image with you called Carpenter Ant from High Hopes.   I kind of chuckle every time I look at this image.  Carpenter ants are so bad if you get them in your house, but this guy was just so fun to make a card with.  I actually think he is kinda handsome for an ant...yeah I know crazy right!  I picked this particular Happy Birthday sentiment because I thought the font with the little dots looked like nail heads.

I die cut some mini little tools, sorry don't know the brand as I borrowed them from a friend.  It took me a little time to figure out just how to use them but I thought they were perfect for this card.  I cut the tools out of textured cream cardstock & gave them a little bit of color with my Copics.  I listed the colors below.  I also die cut a fence in cream cardstock & used some Memento Espresso ink to dd some dark color.

Mudzie's Gift

Mudzie is patiently....or not so patiently waiting for Christmas. He seems to have found the perfect gift for someone on his list, and I have another Christmas card done using Mudzie's Gift from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

I love finding the gifts people on my list want but every once and awhile I find a gift so perfect for someone that they didn't ask for and I can't wait to give it to them. Sometimes I want to give it to them early because I know how perfect it is for them and how much they will appreciate it.

After stamping and colouring Mudzie and his perfect gift with Copics, I added some Diamond Stickles to the gift bow and cut him out using a rectangle die. Patterned paper from the A Cozy Christmas by Echo Park was perfect for this stamp. I stamped the sentiment, cut it and mounted it on matching cardstock. A simple glitter ribbon bow and enamel dots finish off my design.

Three Kings Bringing Joy

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a Christmas card featuring the adorable image Three Kings - T201 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) with the sentiment Joy To The World - GLL012 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps).  Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

To create the card this week, I stamped the main image and then coloured it in with Copic Markers. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image and then used a black marker to go around all of the edges. For the sentiment, I stamped it out and then used My Creative Time: Fun Vertical Greetings to die cut it.

For the base card I used Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. to create my background at 5.5" x 4.25" and also the base card.  I used various Tim Holtz inks listed below to create the night sky and earth at the bottom. After the basic blending was done, I layered Kraftin' Kimmie - Twinkle Little Stars stencil over top of the base and applied Stampin Up - Whisper White using a sponge dauber. I removed the stencil and cleaned it off. Then placed it on top again. This time, I used a sponge dauber and FolkArt - Extreme Glitter Acrylic Paint to give the stars some sparkle. Note: A little dab of this paint goes a long way. Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool was used to help speed up the drying process.

Once the paint was all dry, the card was ready to be assembled. I cropped the background to 5.25" x 4" and placed it directly onto the base. Then the main image and sentiment were added using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Three Kings - T201 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Joy To The World - GLL012 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Snow Sweet!

Hi!
Todays cards are all about my absolute favourite Winter/ Christmas image....... SNOWMEN!!!!! And of course a Snowlady is even cuter! Meet the adorable "Snow Sweet Snowlady" from High Hopes Stamps
I decided to make two cards using this adorable image for my Christmas Stash! I stamped the images onto Copic friendly paper and coloured them in to match the papers I had chosen to use. Each card uses the "Snow People Saying", one on the front and one on the inside of the card.
For this fun card, I used papers from the Bella Blvd. "Santa Squad" 6x6 collection. I cut out a little frame and then popped it up using 2 layers of foam tape. Next I added some snowy hills and a few trees. I tucked my image under one of the hills and added  bit of Stickles to the hills. The sentiment is on the inside of this card.
For my second version, I used papers from the Recollections "Mistletoe Wishes" 6x6 collection. My design is simple with this card using only 2 of the Designer Papers and some basic Oval die cuts. a few enamel dots and a bit of Stickles to his candy buttons finish off my card.
Copics used:
Snowlady #1: B0000, B000, B00, YR04
Hat & Scarf: RV52, RV55, RV34
Reds: R22, R24, R27, R29

Milton's Fresh Pine

Howdy - MichelleO here and this week for High Hopes Stamps I pulled out a fun winter image. Milton's Fresh Pine - I think he is getting ready to decorate for Christmas!

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and found some papers from Paper Studio to match. Now I went with a woodsy papers... not quite traditional Christmas. But I thought Milton was good with these colors. The layers are sewn down and then since Milton loves singing while cutting down his Christmas tree I found the High Hopes Sentiment "O Christmas Tree" a nice match.

Copic colors used -

Having a hard time believing Christmas is so close, but need to start getting prepared! Like Milton!

Willa with a Flower

Happy Sunday & welcome to today's blog post!

Today I'm sharing our adorable image called Willa with a Flower.  I have paired Willa with the Bold Happy Birthday sentiment.  I never seem to have enough birthday cards in my stash so I'm on a little mission to get some done.

I don't seem to use blue very much for my cards so I decided to ignore the pink/rosie flower color and work with the patterned paper instead.  The striped paper is from the Up & Away pad by Dovecraft...yes it has been in my stash for several years.  I also used Bo Bunny's Enchanted Garden pad, also an older pad.  I will be a little sad when that Bo Bunny pad is all gone because I love all the colors in it.

I die cut my image with some Spellbinders dies which I also used for the mat.  The little border across the middle of the card, behind the image is a Martha Stewart border punch.  I decided not to put a background on the stamped image & to just leave it white.  A few enamel dots, some glitter & NO ribbon and this cutie was all done.

Warm Grey - W5, W3, W1, W0

Ears, hands - E04, R20, R11

What a bummer!

Happy Friday & welcome to today's blog post!

I felt like a little humor was in order today so I created this card using Workout Betty (TLF011) from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  This gal just cracks me up, maybe because I can see myself in her lol.  I paired Betty with the Bummer (H263) sentiment also from High Hopes...I think it says it all.

I wanted to keep this card just a little old fashioned if that makes sense so I made it pretty clean & simple.  Just a bit of ribbon & some enamel dots.  I used a Spellbinders die that has been in my stash for years & years....using it today for the first time.

Baking Love

Christmas cookie baking season is just around the corner! Our favourite to make as kids were what we called sugar cookies. When we were young Mom cut the shapes out and baked them and we decorated them - often with too much icing and too many sprinkles of course but we sure had fun!

As adults my younger sister has a natural talent for making amazing cookies! She uses royal icing if I remember correctly and has created cookies for every occasion and life event. I had a chance to take a class with her last year and I have a whole new respect for her and her decorating talents!

Baking Ginger from High Hopes Rubber Stamps reminds me of my sisters talents and is perfect for a card for her. I have a feeling her secret ingredient - just like my Mom's - is love......

I coloured Ginger with Copic markers and added Twinkle Stickles on her "icing". I hand fussy cut her and ran a black marker around the edge to get any white I had missed. I have some fun cookie dies given to me by a sweet crafty friend and I decided one of them was perfect for this card design. Patterned paper from Carta Bella and 49 and Market were the right mix and I cut them to size and inked all the edges.
I cut a tag and added some matching patterned paper and put Ginger on it with foam pop dots.
Next I die cut the whisk and spoon and added the heart - how perfect are these for this stamp!? and inked the edges. A ribbon bow and enamel dots finish off my card.

Wishing you well!

 Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I'm sharing a 2fer lol using Walker Walter (TLF013) & Walker Winnie (TLF012) from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I thought these images would be just perfect to have in my stash for friends going through knee surgery or just to say I was thinking about them.

I created both cards using the same layout, I just flipped the layout for the 2nd card.  The sentiment is Wishing You Well (E146).

I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut both images out & also to create the layer around them.  I kept both cards fairly simple with just a few enamel dots with a little ribbon for Winnie's card.
