I wanted to wish all our American friends a Happy Memorial Day! My husband & I have family & friends in the US and we are sending best wishes for a wonderful day to all!
Today I'm opening the HH Vault to re-release an image by Dina Gerner called Growing Friends Friends. I love this precious image. It reminds me that you can make a new friend when you least expect it. I paired this image with our sentiment called Pawsing.
I've been a member of Splitcoaststampers for many many years. But I haven't played a long in their weekly sketch challenges for a long time. This week I decided now was the time. I enjoy seeing all the different ideas that they come up with for these challenges. As well I love to look at what other members post. Membership to Splitcoaststampers is FREE. I'm getting a late start to my Saturday morning today. I'm feeling a little lazy today but that's okay it's Saturday, right!
Today I have a 2 card post for you using our adorable image called Gavin the Givin' Dragon. Lately I have wanted to create 2 cards with some images - one for a boy & one for a girl. It sure does save me time to make them both at once & it really helps my stash too.
This pic shows them both together. To me they look totally different even though they are the same image. I left off the ribbon on the boy's card but couldn't help adding a few enamel dots. I used the Happy Birthday Script for the gals card (one of my FAV Happy Birthday sentiments) & I used part of the Swinging Birthday sentiment for the boy's card. I got the idea to use parts of sentiments from my friend Donna...she is a master at that. It really is a great idea to make more out of your sentiment collection.
I am blessed to have both my Dad and my Father In Law in my life so with Father's Day just around the corner I have been working on cards for them. My Dad used to go golfing quite often so I decided that the Golf Bag stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps was perfect for his Father's Day card.
After stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured the bag with Copic sketch markers and hand fussy cut it. Next, I cut an oval out of white card stock using a die and added some big puffy clouds with a cloud die and some ink. I cut some grass using a die and added it to the bottom of the oval. It left a funny space under the grass so I cut off the bottom of the oval. Next, I cut a flag using a die from Quickutz, shortened the pole and glued it together. I shortened the pole because I wanted it to look like it was off in the distance a bit.
I cut a second oval out of matching card stock, off set it slightly and cut the bottom off to match my scene. Some twine, two sentiments and enamel dots finish off my card.

Well we have made it to the middle of the work week, yeah! Today I'm featuring our beautiful imaged called Country Garden. I absolutely love the large flowers in the this image. There are just so many colours I can imagine using for the flowers.
I picked some pretty bold for me background paper because I was in love with all the fabulous colours is has.
I turned this cutie into a Thank You card because my stash is super low.

Happy Victoria Day to all our Canadian fans! Hope you get to celebrate tonight with some fireworks!
Today I'm here to share our sweet image called Bird Watch....isn't this little bear the cutest?!
I'm on a roll getting birthday cards back into my stash, you can just never have enough. I wanted something bright & cheerful. I picked some patterned paper with a bunch of tiny little flowers on it & a matching paper that looks like waves.

It's the long weekend here in Ontario & I'm soooo happy for the extra day of rest. Well it won't actually be a weekend of rest because it's also the weekend we can start planting our gardens. I'm truly hoping we are all done with the risk of frost here.
Today I'm poppin' in to share our super cute image called Anthony James. I just love this guy! I can never have too many masculine cards in my stash. I coloured Anthony up using very nature oriented colours. I'm off to visit my son in the Yukon next month & we will 100% be going fishing. Not too sure why he takes me fishing because I cause him so much work. I don't bait my line nor do I take the fish off the hook. Thinking of my pending trip inspired my colour choices. I chose the sentiment Dropping A Line, I thought it worked perfect with Anthony.

Today I'm sharing a sweet image I have had coloured for a while now. I couldn't decide if I wanted to use this a tag on a gift or on a card. Well I decided to make it into a card as you can see lol. This cutie is called Buddy's Birthday Tag.
I decided to go with a bright colour focus for this card & I did my best to match the yellow I used in the image. I think I got pretty close.
I have a Marvy punch that has been in my stash of rarely used punches that makes a tiny little envelope. When I say tiny I mean tiny. You could actually make the same thing by folding up some patterned paper to your chosen size & use an inverted corner rounder to make the little indent....or just eyeball a half circle. I placed the Happy Bear-day sentiment to appear to pop out of the present.Stamps - Buddy's Birthday Tag S218 & Happy Bear-day F300

Today I have Laurie's Garden Angel to share with you. At first when I looked at colouring up this image I was like....this is going to take a while...but I challenged myself & dove right in. I'm so glad that I did because I loved every minute of colouring this one. I did the colouring in chunks. What does that mean? Well rather than looking at it as a daunting task, I looked and said I'm going to colour this little part. Before I knew it I was all done. I was a little sad it was complete because I wanted to keep colouring lol.

Now who doesn't love a beautiful sunflower....I know I do. This precious stamps is called Sunflower Frame. Sunflowers bloom in the fall but you can grab them all year long at your local florist.
Since these are pretty much all Fall colours I'm keeping this one in my stash for a little later on in the year. Nothing like getting ahead of the game lol.

Today I'm poppin' to share our oh so cute Huggable Hank.
I couldn't seem to settle on what colours I wanted to use for this cutie so I did 2 versions. I fussy cut out both my images BUT you don't have to. You can just make your background of clouds on the cardstock you used to colour your image.

Today I'm sharing another one of our Doodles collection stamps. This one is called Flowers Grow. I love this collection of stamps because the sentiment is already in the centre of the stamp. But you can choose another sentiment by just blocking out the centre when stamping. Doing that will give you more options to use this sweet image.
Since I didn't have just the right purple in my stash of patterned paper I chose to play off the green instead. I have put a link below to all the other stamps in this collection.

I'm here today to share our adorable image called Lg. Puffy Kitty with you all. I don't know about your family but in my family cats rule, at least with my Dad & Brothers. I have both dogs & a cat so I can't pick one over the other, I love them all.
I love the look on this kitty's face as he/she is trying to grab onto that thread...it just cracks me up.

I'm poppin' in today with a fun birthday card using North Woods Stack. I kept this card pretty clean & simple mainly to focus on those adorable animals. It might be fun to colour these cuties up in funny colours too....will have to try that next time just for giggles.
My son lives in the Yukon so I can see this card going out to him for his birthday in January '25...now that's getting ahead lol.

I was going through my stash of cards when I quickly realized that I was really short on Thinking of You cards. So I created a very clean & simple card using The Best Things.
I used an embossing folder last week for the 1st time in I don't know how long so I grabbed another leafy one for this card. I embossed on white cardstock & inked it up using Memento Pear Tart. I just wanted some colour to show off the beautiful embossing folder & of course it had to match a colour I used on the image, lol.
This image comes from our Doodle Collection. I posted the links below for quick reference. All of these images have the sentiment right in the centre of the stamp....perfect for that quick card. I do have more of the collection coloured up & will post a couple more cards soon so stay tuned.
