Whatever.....I'm retired!

Happy Saturday!

Now who doesn't love a nice long bubble bath!  This sweet image is called Betty Bubbles which I have paired with the Whatever...I'm retired! sentiment. Betty is soaking up all the suds & why not she is retired lol.....that's what I would be doing too!!

I dug into my stash of embossing folders looking for the perfect one...I found this old Provo Craft folder called Bubbles...now how perfect is that?!  I ran the 2 mats around the image & the border mat through the embossing folder so this card has a lot of texture to it.  I did struggle a little bit with my color choice for ribbon as I used such a flowery patterned paper.  I didn't want to take away from gorgeous Betty so I went with this older Stampin' Up taffeta ribbon.  I use that ribbon sparingly as I don't have a ton of it & can't seem to find more.  Taffeta is my favorite of all types of ribbon just because it is so easy to work with it.  I finished off the look with 3 different colored enamel dots.

Betty Bubbles

Howdy - MichelleO here today - Thinking a Bubble Bath sound just wonderful! Nice relaxing hot bubble bath with a good book. Well "Betty Bubbles" seems to really be enjoying her quality time. And if I can't have the bubble bath I can have fun coloring one!

Betty is colored up with Copics (colors below) and then lots of Viva Decor Sparkle Pearl Pen for those bubbles. I found a pretty flower pattern paper from Wild Rose with matching pattern yellow paper and Bazzil green card stock for the base. Sewed all the layers together with straight and zig zag stitch. Then to match up with those pattern papers I used Magnolia Flower Corner die. Two green and then Two cut in white. I then cut out the white flowers and attached to the green dies. Really gives your die cuts life. I topped with Viva Decor Yellow Pearl Pen. A "Bold Happy Birthday" sentiment from High Hopes Stamps. Then dots of Viva Decor Green Pearl Pen.

Inside more of the same papers with the High Hopes sentiment "Hoping Your Day"

HUMOR ME...I'm Old!!

Hello everyone,
and welcome High Hopes Fans!

For today, I have created this Vintage Birthday Card using,
this hilarious stamp called "Betty Bubbles" and  the sentiment is "Humor Me...I'm Old!!
from High Hopes Stamps.

Stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black and coloured with Copic markers.
Stamp another image on vellum with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
After the second image was cool down I fussy cut just the bubbles. I used S.U adhesive to glue the bubbles to the main image.

This card is a A2 size. For Paper I used "Something Blue" from Prima, cardstock is "Crumb Cake".
I distress the edges with Ranger distress tool, and used "Tea Dye, Antique Linen, and walnut Stain" on the edges. Add a little ink through a Layering Stencil using "Antique Linen" Ink on an ink
Blending Tool.

Copic List: C1 C3 C5 E00 E23 E25 E37 E51 R20 R22 R29 V000 V12 V15 BG10 YG11 Y11 and 0
