Birthday Buzzard

Howdy - 

I always need that special birthday card for that someone that needs a giggle to their card. And nothing fits better than Birthday Buzzard from High Hopes Stamps! 

This guy just cracks me up and is perfect! 

 This sweet Birthday Buzzard is colored with my Copics (colors below) and then went on a hunt for some papers. I wanted something more guy like possibly. I found some fun vintage feeling papers from SEI - love the colors. They have 70's feel almost to me. I layered them and went to do my normal sewing... UH OH... One of the kittens decided to run off with a part to my sewing machine. A much needed to work part. I scanned for it didn't find it. Guess I will be totally moving everything from on my desk and under my desk this week to find it. sighhh ok back to my card. Since I couldn't do any sewing which is really making me twitch a bit... I found a grass punch and decided to play with that. I stacked up my papers and card stock and then found a High Hopes Stamps sentiment. "Birthday Wishes" - cut it out and then matted it with an EK Success ticket punch.

Love this image! Makes me grin. Now the no sewing that is really causing me some stress. But I will have to deal with it... at least until I find that little part! LOL

Birthday Buzzard

Howdy - MichelleO here today... Ok, so sometimes you just need a birthday card with that little giggle to it. And High Hopes Stamps Birthday Buzzard is perfect for a few people that come to mind! 

 

Just love this buzzard! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and found some fun bright pattern papers to use with the buzzard. This paper is from American Crafts and it for sure is bright and fun! I cut out the image in a circle popping the balloons cut out above the circle. Love doing this. I sewed down the layers and added a bright green ribbon. For the sentiment I used High Hopes "Raggedy's Birthday"  Love the fun script in this one! I punched it out with a Fiskars punch and then outlined in orange.

Fun Card! How can you not love a Buzzard wearing a party hat, with balloons and present! LOL

Birthday Buzzard Stand-Up Card

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

 

I have been wanting to use these stamps for quite some time now, and finally here it is!  Isn't this buzzard just the sweetest one ever?!?!?!

This is Birthday Buzzard (T061), along with part of the sentiment called - Swinging Birthday (H191) and Ya Old Buzzard Sentiment (F350).  Such a super fun image to colour!

 

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I applied some Glossy Accents to the balloons and some X-mas Red Stickles to the buzzard's party hat. 

 

The main image was cut using a Spellbinders Circle Die.  For the card base, a Sizzix Circle Stand-Up Die was used on some SU Pacific Point cardstock.  SU Pacific Point ink was sponged around the edges of the image.  The designer paper is from Echo Park - Birthday Wishes (Boy) 6x6 paper pad, along with SU Pacific Point and White Cardstock.  The sentiments were stamped with a Versamark Ink Pad and White Embossing Powder was applied then heated.  To complete this card, a few SU Candy Dots - Brights Pack were added.

Paper - Echo Park - Birthday Wishes (Boy) 6x6 Paper Pad; SU Pacific Point & White Cardstock.

 

Misc - Glossy Accents, Sizzix Circle Stand-Up Die, Spellbinders-Circle Die, X-mas Red Stickles, SU Candy Dots-Brights Pack, Sponge Dauber, Water Brush, and Glue Dots.
