Frog in Boxers

Howdy - MichelleO here today -

This is one of the very first images I purchased from High Hopes Stamps - YEARS and YEARS ago! I just love the look on this little frog. Frog in Boxers -

 

A top favorite of mine! Colored with my Copics - and found papers from scraps in my stash, and then sewed down layers. Now I wanted a solid green for one of the mats... didn't have the right green. So I used a Copic and colored a mat! Not bad... will have to remember that for future. The sentiment is a great one for a little pick me up for someone, and works with this guy hanging in his boxers. "Hang in there!"  just so fun! It needed a little more - so I punched up some leaves punches from Martha Stewart and colored them to match. This one really made me smile!

Frog in Boxers

Howdy - MichelleO here today -  If you need an image to bring a smile to someone this is it! How can you not love High Hopes Stamps "Frog in Boxers"  and with the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Hang in There!" it is just perfect to bring a smile! 

 

 

I colored with my copics (colors below) and then shaded with a few pencils. I cut out the image with a Circle die cut, cutting out the toes of the frog first and making sure they pop off the circle. 

 

Now I have to tell you about the pattern papers... LOL Months ago I was picking up a mess of paper pads the kittens had knocked off the shelf. While picking them up I glanced at this clothes line pattern paper. Thought it was cute and then put everything back on the shelf. When I chose this image to color up .. I remembered paper. Thought I knew right where it was... an hour later I finally found it! It was perfect for this image right?? From Cosmo Cricket the boyfriend collection I decided to use a few papers from the pad. Layered them up and sewed them together with straight and zig zag stitches. Placed the image front and center and then created a tag with an EK Success punch to use with the fabulous Hang in there!

Frog in Boxers

 Howdy - MichelleO here today - This image you just have to smile! High Hopes Stamps "Frog in Boxers" is such a fun image and a great image for a pick me up "Hang in There!" card. 

Bright and Cheerful was what I was going for... think I captured that! I colored the image with my Copics (colors below) and found a piece of Paper Studio pink rose paper to match up with my colors. All is sewn down with zig zag and straight stitches. I found a hot pink polk a dot ribbon to tie around with a big bow. 

Then that fun High Hopes sentiment "Hang in there!" It all makes me giggle...
