Pumpkin Patch

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I am trying to feel Fall! Coloring it up seems to work for now. This image is from High Hopes Stamps and is called "Pumpkin Patch" - love that potted flowers next to those pumpkins!

Looking back I probably should have colored the flowers red to match the papers better, but I was really in a purple flower mood... LOL I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then went to find papers to match up (see how the red should have been my choice) The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps - Happy Harvest

Two pieces in my scraps that felt fall like. stripes from SEI and then that fun brown circle paper from Farmers. A dark brown card stock for a base, and everything is sewn down after inking around the edge of the image with Rangers Tea Dye ink. Makes that thread pop I think. After looking high and low for the pumpkin buttons I know I have - I gave up and found three orange enamel dots instead. I'll find those pumpkin buttons in winter or spring I am sure.

Copic colors used -

Love this image - it just has that fall crisp air feel to it. There are so many from High Hopes that just make me feel the season. Have you visited the website and fallen in love with so many? Pop over HERE and you will I promise!

thanks!

Fall Pumpkin Patch

Fall is just around the corner and that means the pumpkin patches will soon be open to pick the perfect pumpkin or pumpkins for your fall decor, Halloween or baking your favourite fall treat...pumpkin pie - yum!

"Pumpkin Patch" from High Hopes reminds me of the fun days ahead.

I coloured this fun stamp with alcohol markers and Prisma pencils for some shading. I originally cut this out with rectangle die......but I messed up the clouds so........fussy cutting it was! The background is created with some inked clouds and a grass tuft die and the stamp is glued on top. The sentiment is masked off from a larger sentiment and all the edges were inked with versa mark ink.  I kept the design of this one a little more simple to keep the focus on this gorgeous stamp. Paper from Simple Stories and Echo Park were perfect for a bit of a country feel. Some enamel dots and ribbon are the finishing touches.

Welcome HH Fans;

Now that another month has started, which means that we are getting closer to the start of school and fall coming.  This month, both the OCS and HH divas will be bringing you inspiration for fall like cards.

When my children were younger, one of the best activities for fall was the carving of pumpkins.  How they loved making carving their own pumpkins and having an unique face.  So for today's card, I have used Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkins 10 cents both from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  After stamping the image on XPress It Blending Cardstock, I coloured it with Copic Markers.

Pumpkin Patch

Howdy - MichelleO here and I so excited... It is official Fall now.. and so out come the pumpkins! This sweet image from High Hopes Stamps "Pumpkin Patch" is a great way to color up that seasonal feeling.

I colored the image with my Copics and then pulled out one of my favorite pattern papers, from My Minds Eye,  that I love with the Pumpkin images.  I sewed all the layers down with mats in dark brown and bright gree.

For a little embellishments I added Viva Decor Dots in the same colors. Was trying to put a sentiment with the card and then decided that the sign was enough. You think?

Copic colors -

Hope you enjoyed ... And have a little fall feeling~ Love that crisp fall feeling don't you?

Pumpkin Patch

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!  As summer nears the end, the air starts to feel a bit more crisp and harvest season is near.  I am excited to share another fall card with you today.
 Jane

This is Pumpkin Patch (S152).  I just love the country appeal this stamp has!

To start, I used a piece of watercolour paper and a Versamark Ink Pad to stamp the image (using my Misti Stamping Tool) then applied Black Embossing Powder on the ink and heated it.  To colour the main image, Tombow Markers and water were used.  After the colouring was finished and dry, Glossy Accents were added on the lettering of the sign and on the crow's beak and heart.

For the card base, I decided on a piece of SU Always Artichoke cardstock and the layering piece is SU Kraft cardstock.  The designer paper is from Simple Stories-Take A Hike 6x6 Paper Pad.  A sponge dauber with a SU Chocolate Chip Ink Pad was used to sponge ink around the edge of the image and layering piece, to give the card a more country/rustic look.  Foam tape was applied to the main image to help make it pop out a bit and add some dimension.  To complete this card, some strips of twine with a bow was added, along with a few sparkling clear sequins.

Supplies Used:
***Note: If you are in need of any products used here, please send Lora at OCS an email and I'm sure she would be happy to get the item(s) you are looking for.

Ink - Tombow Markers - 055, 985, 925, 933, 126, 195, 245, 847, 905, 969, 977, 947 and N45; Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder, SU Chocolate Chip Ink Pad for sponging edges.

Paper - Simple Stories-Take A Hike 6x6 Paper Pad, SU Always Artichoke & Kraft Cardstock;  Watercolour paper.

Thanks for stopping by!  And I hope you come back to visit soon!!!

Fall Banner Using...Pumpkin Patch!

Carolina here,
Good Morning and welcome High Hopes Fans!
For the Month of August the "Design Team" over the High Hopes Blog are featuring Fall and Halloween creations.

For today I have created a traditional Fall Banner using "Pumpkin Patch" from High Hopes Stamps.
One of my favorite season of the year is Autumn. Even is still hot here in Souther California, we can see the tree leaves started to change colors...is so beautiful!

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic Markers.
Once the images were coloured I fussy cut it leaving a small white border. I die cut the banner using Scallop Border Die from Avery Elle. I also distress the edges of design papers with Tea Dye distress ink. The letters are George and Basic Shapes Font Cartridge from Cricut.
To finish my banner I added glossy accent to the words on the sign.

Supplies Used:
Black Archival Ink, Tea Dye Distress Ink, Pumpkin Patch stamp, Copic Markers, Early Espresso Cardstock,  Autumn Crisp Designer paper from American Crafts, Scallop Circle Dies, Lawn Fawn Stamp, PPP Autumn Mix Sequins and Twine.
Copic List: Y17 Y35 Y38 YR04 YR07 YR09 YG11 YG17 YG95 YG97 R29 R39 B21 B93 B95 C1 C5 C7 E37 E51 E57 and 0

Happy Fall Y'all!

Howdy - MichelleO here and I decided to start coloring in the Fall season! Maybe that will cool things off and bring in the Fall colors. So High Hopes Stamps Pumpkin Patch stamp was a great start.

Colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found papers from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Rosy collection.

Layered the papers and added some zig zag stitching. Added the sentiment "Happy Fall Y'all!"  Added three buttons for embellishments. The dark orange and black seemed to work together for a Fall card.

Inside more of the same papers -

And the Copics used -

School is starting up here, so maybe Fall is really coming soon.
