Thankful Friends

Howdy - MichelleO here today and this week for High Hopes Stamps I am thinking Fall and Fall Holidays - Thanksgiving comes to mind first for me - Always have loved cooking up that big holiday meal and sharing with loved ones. I went through all the great images at High Hopes Stamps Thanksgiving images - I chose "Thankful Friends

Fun image! I colored with my Copics (colors below) And then went digging in my stash of papers. Found some Fiskars papers that I liked with the fall image. Stacking up three of the patterns, and using black card stock for the base and a mat.

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Scripty Happy Thanksgiving" a little faux orange mat with a copic marker. I needed a little more for the card - and found some great enamel dots that matched the pattern papers perfectly.

Love the fall feel of this one, there are so many great images for fall at High Hopes Stamps. Click HERE to get straight to having fun looking for your next images.

Welcome Fall

Fall is in the air where I live. We have had a few cool nights and the days are getting shorter. It is my favourite season as I love the cooler temperatures, sweaters, Thanksgiving, changing leaves and I get to wear my favourite pair of horse slippers <smile>.

I have some help welcoming fall from "Thankful Friends" and the "Welcome Fall" sign sentiment from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. How cute are these two buds! They are perfect for your fall and Thanksgiving themed cards.

I coloured this cute pair with alcohol markers, hand fussy cut them and after running a black marker around the edge to get any white I had missed set them aside.
I stepped out of my comfort zone with the flower background paper as I usually like a more plain background but this patterned paper from Simple Stories was just calling to be used for this stamp and sentiment. Love the fall colours in this paper!
I cut some polaroid dies to put behind them and added some matching yellow paper in the "photo holes". There were a few scraps of patterned paper left when I trimmed my background piece so I fussy cut some of the flowers out of it for embellishments. The sentiment is "hung" on the frame edge with a brad from my stash.
The stamp was added with some 3D foam pop dots to add some dimension to the card. Some matching ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card and all the paper edges are inked with a matching ink.

Thankful Friends

Howdy - MichelleO here and today for High Hopes Stamps this week a Warm and Fuzzy one! Or Warm and Feathered? This is Thankful Friends - Such a sweet Thanksgiving image!

I colored with my Copics and then shaded with Pencils. A very warm feeling color palette right? I cut out with a round Spellbinders Nestie and then found some older paper from K&Co. Juliane collection. I cut out, layered and then sewed together with straight and zig zag stitches. I matted the image with a larger circle with the same stripe pattern paper. I love that the paper has a clear glaze to it. Shines! It needed just a bit more, so I cut out four corner embellishments and then added some Nuvo decor pearl pen to the buckles and dots in the corners.

For the sentiment I used the High Hopes Stamps "Happy Thanksgiving"  Love this image just feels so Thankful!

Thankful Friends ready for Thanksgiving!

Welcome to today's blog post!

I'm back today with my 2nd Fall card....my stash is starting to grow lol.  I'm using this adorable stamp called Thankful Friends S210 from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

I haven't got my dry glitter out in what seems like forever.  I really wanted to add a little bit of sparkle to this card.  I put 3 strips of Sookwang tape on my patterned paper & then burnished down some ultra fine glitter.  Burlap is a go to for me for masculine cards and anything I want to have a natural look.  This burlap is ribbon that I picked up at Winners a couple of years ago.

The patterned paper is from an old Bo Bunny Camping pad from a long way back....do you think I have a hoarding problem?  I sponged on Vintage Photo & Antique Linen onto a doily from the Dollar Store.  A little bit of texture never hurts.  I used 2 sentiments for this card, Gobble Gobble Border G090 & Happy Thanksgiving G089.

Grey - W10 to W0 inclusive
Hair - E18, E17, E15
Skin - E000, E00, E01, E04, R01
Brown - E44, E43, E42, E41
Red - R59, R29, R27

Have a crafty kinda day!
Hugs,
