Stork with Baby Dragon

Hello High Hopes Fans

It's an AWESOME Saturday here, and time to share another one of my High Hopes Stamp cards for this week!!!
Lisa

This is Stork with Baby Dragon (S223) and Welcome Little One Script (F239) sentiment.  Such an adorable stamp - I think it makes for a great baby card!

I started by stamping the image and sentiment with a Versamark Ink Pad and sprinkling some Black Embossing Powder on and heating it.  The Tombow Markers I used to colour the image were:  925, N35, N75, 850, N95, 990, 985, 192, 723, and 800.  Once the image was all coloured and dry, I proceeded to die cut the oval shape using a Spellbinders Die called Petite Ovals.  The larger Petite Ovals die was used with Grey Cardstock to cut a slightly larger oval for layering the image. Foam tape was applied to pop out the layered image and sentiment for some added dimension on this card.  The designer paper is from Echo Park-Bundle of Joy 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU Grey, Pink and White cardstock.  The Heart Banner die is from La-La Land.  It was used with Grey and Pink Cardstock. To complete this card, a Viva Décor - Black Pearl Pen was also used to add a couple of bunches of dots around the oval cut image.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Wade

Hello High Hopes Fans

It's finally Friday and I am excited to share another card I recently made, using a cute High Hopes Stamp!
Jane

This is Wade (S132).  Awwwe...isn't he sooo adorable?!?!?!? I definitely think so!!!

I coloured Wade with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to the ducky tube, Wade's horns, water wings, and flippers.  This image was cut using a Spellbinders die called Classic Scallop Rectangle.  Liquid Pearls was applied around the edge of the die cut, to create a bit of a border.  The designer paper is from Carta Bella - Ahoy There, along with some Red and White Cardstock.  Red Taffeta ribbon was used to divide the different designer papers.  Foam tape was used under the image to add some dimension.  A few red and sparkly Doodlebug Sprinkles were applied to the top right corner of the card to complete this card design.

Supplies Used:

Ink - Tombow Markers - 856, 847, 098, 990, 925, 491, 055, and 528.  Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder.

Paper - SU Red and White Cardstock, Carta Bella-Ahoy There 6x6 Paper Pad.

Misc - Glossy Accents, Spellbinders - Scallop Rectangle, SU Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Liquid Pearls - Baby Blue, Doodlebug Sprinkles - Summer Glitter Assortment, Water BrushFoam Tape, and Glue Dots.

Surfer Dude Dudley - Lacey

Hello High Hopes Fans!!

It's Lacey here today and I'm sharing a card I made for one of our friend's 8th birthday.
She just learned how to surf so I knew I wanted to use one of the surfing images from High Hopes.
Since they are all "boy" images, I chose to make Dudley a Dudette by adding a glitter bow.

I made a Zig Zag Card (Center Step Card). It's so easy to make and really makes an input.
High Hopes Designer Kristine made this tutorial awhile go.

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os:

H2Os used:
Olive Vine, Sweet Alfala, Azure, Playful Peony, Nutmeg, and Bashful Blue

Happy stamping!

Awesome and Wonderful Leon!

Happy Colours :) That's what I love about this design, Its just happy!! I can think of a few other sentiments that could be used with this image.... "Relax" or "Hang in there" but I liked "Awesome and wonderful"  and think it works too.  this sentiment is part of High Hopes Sentiment set 3 which can be found here!
This sweet Geico Leon can be found over at High Hopes Stamps. He's coloured with Copics along with some added stippling for a  bit of texture.
Thanks for peeking! Have a fabby, crafty day :)

Red Hat Ladies - Friends Are We!

Howdy -

MichelleO here and this week I was going through my High Hopes Stamps and these two sweet ladies looked like they wanted to come out and be inked and used!

Now their name is "Red Hat Ladies", but they don't dress in red in purple every day. There is no rule that they can't wear other colors. So I went with pink/green/and tan.

All the color choices came from the colors in the Authentique paper pad collection Legacy. Love the vintage feel and that gave me great colors to use on the ladies. I colored with my Copics (colors below).  Now I love sewing on my cards, and do it on most all my cards. But these two seemed to need something different. It has been a while since I used a blanket stitch on my cards. I love it! But wow... lol, takes a while and lots of sewing. Thank goodness for my trusty machine. I used the sentiment "Friends are We..." Now this sentiment is much longer - Friends are we... just you and me!. I love to stamp it out and block out the last half and just use to the first three words on the front. Then stamp it again blocking out the first section and using the back portion "just you and me." on the inside. A little more drama... like a commercial break before you open the card.

I also added some punched leaves and mulberry flowers to the front. My flowers weren't near dark enough so I used my Copics and gave them a little deeper coloring.

Copic colors used -

Love making cards for girlfriends - and  "Red Hat Ladies" is too fun to work with.

Hangin' With You!

Hello High Hopes Fans!

I have another older stamp image to share with you today.

This is Toucan Twosome!
The sentiment is Hangin with You.

I went with a bright, tropical palette for this card.
The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Design Inc Flower Box 6 x 6 paper pad.

I colored the image with Copic Markers.
(C9-C7-C5-C3-C1-E57-E55-E53-Y15-Y02-Y-OR00-OR04-OR02-BG00-BG02-YG21-YG23-YG25)
I used the "out of the box" technique, which is where you cut a shape (in this case on oval) that is smaller than the image and leave some of the image like the branch and leaves "outside" the shape.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!
