Coffee With A Friend!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Let's Chat - TLF030  for the image and Perfect Blend - FLL022  for the sentiment. I don't drink coffee, but really loved these little gnome buddies having a cup of coffee and getting a chance to chat.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25". I cut Creative Memories - Hot Fudge cardstock to be the same size as the base card and attached it using double-sided tape. Your Next Stamp - The Perfect Blend cardstock was die cut using My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Layers and my Cuttlebug. I popped this up onto the base background using U-Line double-sided tape. The large square was die cut using Waffle Flower - Nesting Square dies and Creative Memories - Hot Fudge cardstock. The smaller square was cut using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The image was then stamped with my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. I stamped the sentiment onto Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock and die cut it with My Creative Time - Stitched Zig Zag Ties. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers.

The card was now ready to finish being assembled. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the backs of all of the remaining pieces and popped them up onto the card base.

Itty Bitty Heart!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a CAS card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Sweetheart Gnome - SLF012  for the main image. I just love this sweet little gnome image as you can change the sentiments that she is holding onto. On this card, I chose to add a heart as I thought it would go great with the sentiment Itty Bitty Heart - H006.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25". For the background, I used my Cuttlebug, Scrapbook.com - Brights Smooth Cardstock and the embossing folder called Cuttlebug - Thank You. After putting this paper through my Cuttlebug, I saw that the texture was white on some of the letters. I decided to take some more of the background colour off using 3M 405N Tri-M-Ite sanding paper. I just loved the rustic effect it gave. With my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. The image was coloured in and fussy cut. A cutter was used to go around the sentiment. 3/8" We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper was used to create the rounded corners. I inked around all of the edges of the sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Barn Door.

To assemble the card, I attached the embossed background directly to the base using double-sided tape. The sentiment and image were both popped up onto the card using U-Line double-sided tape to complete the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Sweetheart Gnome - SLF012 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Itty Bitty Heart - H006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Barn Door

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb., Scrapbook.com - Brights Smooth Cardstock (4.25" x 5.5")

Die Cuts: Lawn Fawn - Valentine's Hearts Border (Heart for message)

Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug - Thank You

Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, U-Line double-sided tape, Cuttlebug

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

I coloured in the main image with Copic markers and then Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Twisted Citron was used to go around the edges of both die cuts. The image and sentiment were both popped up onto the background using U-Line double-sided tape. Finally, I ran small pieces of paper through my Xyron Create a Sticker from Hot Buy - Recollections - Jewel Tones paper pack and then through my Cuttlebug using My Creative Time - Stitched Zig Zag Ties die cuts. Sewing Gnome!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Let's Sew - TLF031 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Needle & Thread- FFL024 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. I just learned how to quilt a few years ago and really love it. This new image and sentiment would be perfect for all of your quilting and sewing friends.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock - White, cut and scored it to be 6" x 6". I cut the 1st and 2nd layers using Recollections - Purple Passions paper. The 1st cut was 6" x 6" and the 2nd layer was cut to 5.75" x 5.75". These 2 layers were attached directly to the base using double-sided tape. The patterned background paper from Crafts - Designer Paper was cut to the size of 5.5" x 5.5" and popped up using U-Line double-sided tape. The smaller square was die cut from Recollections - Purple Passions paper using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out to the size of 4" x 4". This was popped up using U-Line double-sided tape onto the centre of the last square. Lastly, Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card was die cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities - Square Swatches for the image and My Creative Time Dies - Stiched Decorative Banners for the sentiment. The image and sentiment were both stamped onto the die cuts using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. I inked around the edges of the sentiment with some purple ink that was still left on my blending brush from a previous project I had worked on. Then it was popped up onto the card using U-Line double-sided tape. Lastly, the image was coloured in with Copic markers and I created some writing on the sewing machine to represent various stitch patterns using a Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen. Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen - Silver pen was used for the needle holder and the foot on the sewing machine. Once, this was all completed, I applied the image to the centre of the smallest square using double-sided tape to complete the card.

Dropping A Line!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a birthday card using Just Fishin' - TLF029 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Dropping A Line - FFL013 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. High Hopes just released November "Gnome Mania". There are so many new super adorable gnomes to choose from.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25". I cut the background paper from Rust coloured cardstock to be the same size and applied this directly to the base card using double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Layers, I die cut the patterned paper from Photo-Play - Camp Happy Bear. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Evergreen Bough was used to ink around the edges. I added some thin double-sided U-line tape to this piece and popped it up onto the background. With my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped both the image and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Craftin Desert Diva's - Inside Scalloped Squares dies were used to die cut the Rust coloured paper and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I cut a 3.75" square out of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock and used this to piece the 2 die-cuts together after I finished colouring in the image with Copic Markers. This made the 2 pieces more sturdy for adding double-sided tape to pop it up onto the printed background. I die-cut the sentiment using My Creative Time - Curly Frames and then ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker so that it would lay nice and flat onto the Rust coloured cardstock. I didn't have a larger border frame, so I used my Brother Scan and Cut to create a border around the die cut. Lastly, to finish off the card, I popped this up using U-Line double-sided tape.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Just Fishin' - TLF029 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Dropping A Line - FFL013 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Evergreen Bough

Gnome - Merry Christmas!

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm featuring a Christmas card I made using the image Flying Gnome - TLF008 and sentiment Sm Christmas Script - F051 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps).  I just love colouring these adorable little gnomes. Also, it's always good to make Christmas cards a little at a time throughout the year so that you are not rushing to get them all done in December. LOL! Have you started making your Christmas cards yet this year?

To create the card this week, I first used the die cut from Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson - Festive Collection - Pointsettia Mini Background - CED3049 to cut some Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my Cuttlebug. I stamped the main image and then coloured it with Copic Markers. I started off doing the sky first as I didn't want any of the Reds smearing into it. (This happens sometimes if you are not careful.) Once the image was all coloured in, I used Sakura Glaze - Black and Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen to increase the intensity of the eye on the bird. I outlined the entire image with Pigma Micron 03 black marker to make it stand out more against the sky. Lastly, I used a mixture of Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen and Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen to create the snow and stars in the sky.

For the base of the card, I began with a standard white card base of 4.25" x 5.5". I cut another piece of white cardstock the same size and applied the red shimmer topping on it using Crafts - Sparkling Stickers - 02-3068629. I used the same die cut listed above to cut out the intricate design using my Cuttlebug and the gold paper from Hot Buy Craft Smart - Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper. I had put the gold paper through my Xyron Creative Station before I die cut it. This made it easier to just peel and stick onto the base.

For the sentiment, I die cut some spare red cardstock using Craftin Desert Diva's - Flag Banner Dies. Using my MISTI and VersaMark ink, I stamped the sentiment onto the die cut and embossed it using Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing powder. This was heated with my Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. The image and the sentiment were both popped up with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape to complete the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Flying Gnome - TLF008 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Sm Christmas Script - F051 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, VersaMark

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Hot Buy Craft Smart - Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper 12" x 12", Crafts - Sparkling Stickers - 02-3068629

Die Cut: Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson - Festive Collection - Pointsettia Mini Background - CED3049, Craftin Desert Diva's - Flag Banner Dies (Retired)

Embossing Powder: Ranger Super Fine Gold

Tools and Miscellaneous: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, Pigma Micron 03 black marker, Xyron Creative Station, Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool

Gnome For the Holidays

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Snowy Gnome - TLF024 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and From Our Gnome - GLL001 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This little gnome has gone home for the holidays to celebrate with friends and family. As you can see there are a lot of activities going on in Gnome Town. This little gnome has his snowballs ready for the next snowball fun fight! LOL! While waiting for the other team to get ready, he's decided to take a little break and enjoy nature with his little cardinal friends. Then, let the fun begin!!!

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6" x 6". I cut some dark blue cardstock, just slightly smaller and adhered it to the card with Tombow Mutli-Liquid Glue. I just love this paper from PhotoPlay called Gnome for the Holidays Christmas. I thought it went perfectly with this new stamp. I cut it at about 5.75" x 5.75". Then I glued it to the blue paper.

I die cut multiple circles in a variety of sizes using a mixture of My Creative Time - More Stitched Circles and Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies - Nesting Circles using dark blue and red cardstock and also Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card for the main image.

The image was stamped onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock circle using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black. It was then coloured it in with Copic markers. For the snow, I used Recollections - Christmas Snow Paste, Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter - Crystal Fine and a spatula and let it dry overnight. Then  Stickles - Diamond was added onto the top of it. For the sky a mixture of 2 Gel pens were used and then a little bit of Stickles - Diamond to add some glitter to it. I was trying to get it to match the background paper. Once the Stickles was dry, I glued the bottom 2 layers of circles together and then the top 2 circles.  Both were done separately. The sentiment was stamped with Versa Mark and then embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder White – Extra Fine Detail and heated with Marvy Uchida Embossing Heat Tool. I fussy cut around the sentiment and glued it directly on top of some red cardstock. Then I cut around that as well.

To complete the card I popped up the bottom circles, top circles with coloured image and sentiment with the 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

Lastly, I added some more sparkle with Stickles - Diamond by adding it to the base of the card in random places.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Snowy Gnome - TLF024 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: From Our Gnome - GLL001 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Versamark

Happy Birthday Gnome

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Balloon Gnome - SLF016 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Mini Sentiment Set #1 - HLL001 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment from the new release this month. The mini sentiment comes with 3 more sayings as well, which means you can use this little gnome to make a variety of different cards for multiple occasions. I chose to make a birthday card this time.

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card sized at 5.5" x 4.25". Then I used Doodlebug Design Inc. - Fairy Tales paper to create my background rectangles. To do this, I used my Cuttlebug and die cuts from My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies and My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Layers. Then I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet and Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Peacock Feathers to ink around the edges of the frames. I layered the first 2 layers directly onto the base and also glued the 2 smaller rectangles together. Then I popped up the smaller rectangles with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

I stamped the image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock and then coloured it in with Copic markers. Once completed, I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image. Then I popped up the image with the 3M VHB - 2 sided tape as well.

To finish the card off, I added some bling using Kraftin Kimmie - Summer Dots,  Kraftin Kimmie - Festive Dots and CC Designs - Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Balloon Gnome - SLF016 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Mini Sentiment Set #1 - HLL001 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet, Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Peacock Feathers
Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Doodlebug Design Inc. - Fairy Tales (6" x 6")

Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape, Kraftin Kimmie - Summer Dots, Kraftin Kimmie - Festive DOts, CC Designs - Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots, Brother Scan and Cut
