Naughty kitty.....?

 Happy Monday HH Fans!

Today I have this fun image called "Callie Christmas Kitty" to share with you.  Now all of us who own cats know that one of their favorite things to do during the holiday's is ....climb the Christmas Tree.  This little cutie is just hanging right off the branch lol.

This year could prove to be a bit of a challenge for our family as my brother lives with us & he has 3 cats while we have 1.  So that's 4 cats to keep off the Christmas tree.  I guess I better think plastic decorations only!

I couldn't decide which sentiment I wanted to use so I used both "Naughty List?" & Santa...I tried!  Both were just perfect for this card.

Think Snow with Snow Yummy

 Hello HH Fans!!

I'm back again today with another card from our wonderful collection of Winter/Christmas images.  This adorable snowman in a mug is called "Snow Yummy".  Isn't he just the cutest?!!

I was in a bell & button mood today, so I used those for my embellies.  I picked up the bells at Michael's a few years ago & the button is from my stash (insert huge stash here) lol.

Since I'm on this mission to get Christmas cards done, I'm sticking with some general sentiments.  Just in case I want to use it for a Winter card instead...gotta keep my options open.  So, on this cutie I used "Think Snow 2".

How cute is this "Merry Mouse"

 Oh Happy Day HH Fans!

I'm back today after a long hiatus with our adorable imaged called Merry Mouse.  So seriously nobody wants a mouse in their house..right!  But I sure do love to color them & use them for my cards, they are just so cute.

I need to start building my Christmas card stash & quick...the holidays will be upon us before we know it.  Every year I try to send out as many cards as I can, for 2 years in a row I almost got them all done.  Maybe this year I will actually accomplish my goal lol.

I colored Merry Mouse with Copics (list below) & then I fussy cut her out.  So, this really happened...while cutting her tail I actually cut it off...yep I did.  So, I finished cutting her out while trying to figure out how I was going to fix her up.  A little dab of glue here and there & I think she turned out ok.  I paired Merry Mouse with our Happy Holidays sentiment, but you can always change that up if you like.

With all the ribbon stash I have I didn't have the right color of red ribbon, so I used white satin ribbon & an R59 Copic marker then airbrushed it.  I did the same for the green background on white cardstock for Merry Mouse using a G03.  Oh & I also used a raw snowflake piece of chipboard & airbrushed it with R59.

Copic Colors
Red - R89, R59, R37
Green - G19, G17, G16, G14, C12
Grey (Mouse) - W4, W2, W1, W0
Grey (Candy Cane & Bells) - C2, C0, C00
Ears & Nose - R02, R01, R00

Other Items
Photo Play - Not A Creature Was Stirring 6 x 6 Pad
Flat Back Bling
Satin Ribbon
Tuxedo Black Marker to outline the fussy cut image
Diamond Stickles on the bells
Versafine Red for the Happy Holidays sentiment

Have a wonderful day & happy stampin'!

A dreamy day!!

 Happy Friday Friends!!

Thanks so much for popping by today!  I have had this adorable image coloured up for a while now & I thought it was time to get her made into a card.  This is "Fairy On A Log".  I have paired this sweetie with "Dot Simple Happy Birthday".

This fairy just takes me to thoughts of a dreamy day, sitting in nature & enjoying everything around me.  I kept the design for this card very simple.  Since I chose the Copic BV's it was a little challenging to match cardstock...but I like the choice I made.  I just had a couple sheets left, I believe it is a retired Bazzil color.  I don't remember the name of the colour...sorry!

Happy Belated...

 Hi Friday HH fans!!

Today I'm sharing an adorable image from High Hopes Rubber Stamps called Cupcake Hedgie....isn't he adorable?!

A few years back our daughter wanted a hedgehog sooooo bad.  My husband & I finally relented & let her get one....a few months later we had two.  Kovu & Kalee a boy and girl.  Of course we had to invest in the big Critter Nation cage because you can't put a male & female together.  Sadly this Spring we lost our beloved Kovu at almost 6 years old, he was an amazing boy, even our vet loved him.  Kalee is still doing well, she will be 6 in the Fall.  Contrary to popular belief hedgehogs can be very sweet, you just need to spend a lot of time with them.

Hedgehogs come in a variety of colours this cutie looks more like our little girl Kalee.  I paired the image with our Happy Belated Birthday sentiment....you can always use one of those in your stash.

Let's Celebrate with Yertle Turtle

 Happy Wednesday HH Fans!!

I'm so excited to share the High Hopes Rubber Stamps Re-Release of 9 adorable images that have been retired for sometime.  This release is aptly named "Let's Celebrate"....the images are all about celebrating.

Today I have one of my favourites to share....this cutie is called "Yertle Turtle".  I paired Yertle with our "Make A Wish" sentiment.

When I was a kid I had a little turtle that I loved dearly.  My Mom picked up a cool bowl for him at a yard sale, it came complete with some stones & other turtle stuff.  He was my friend, I talked to him & read stories to him and I loved to watch him eat.  Back in those days we didn't have the internet of course, so my source for learning about how to care for a turtle came from going to the library & writing down all the information I could gather.  So needless to say I just love turtles....live frogs not so much...turtles move at more my speed lol!

I colored Yertle with Copics...here's the list:

Body - YG17, YG13, YG11

Shell - YG67, YG17, YG13

Balloon & Hat Orange - Y38, Y18, Y17

Balloon & Hat Blue - B39, B37, B34

Cheek - R01

Grounding - Y38, Y17, Y15

I made the mat behind the image with watercolor paper, distress inks (green, yellow & orange) & some splats of water for texture.

Extra stuff - Echo Park Birthday Salutations patterned paper 6 x 6 pad, White Gel Pen, Blue/White Twine, Green Enamel Dots, also used a couple of dies but can't remember the names.

I hope you will go take a peak at the other 8 images that go with this release.  You can find them all HERE

Just Chick-en In!!!!

 Hello everyone!!

So glad to see you came back to checkout my latest creation!  I had an absolute blast making this card.  Everything about it reminds me of being on my Aunt & Uncle's farm when I was younger.  They were dairy farmers & I loved being there whenever I could.  Okay....I love chickens too lol.

This adorable image is part of our new "This & That" release & it's called "Chicken Stack" which I have paired with the sentiment "Just Chick-en In".

I knew somewhere in my stash of paper I had an older Bella Blvd Barnyard pad & I found it.  I also used the 6 x 6 MFT pad called "Tiny Check".  I think they look great together, don't you?

Burlap & some twine with some adorable red buttons finish off this card's embellies.  I used an older Avery Elle die called Wonky Stitches to stamp my image on...I thought it fit just right with those wacky little chickens.

Copic combos

Brown - E99, E97, E95

Grey - W4, W2, W0, W00

Beaks - YR27, YR24, YR23

Legs & Feet - E13, E11, E00

Grass - YG67, YG63, YG61

Wattles & Crowns - R29 & R14

Thanks for Chick-en In lol & we will see you soon!!

Hugs,

Lora

It's been a while...I missed you all!

 Happy Friday Friends,

I've been away from creating cards for a while, I'm happy to be back.  I haven't had a lot of time to do my own creating because here at High Hopes we have been working on getting new releases ready & getting all your orders shipped out.  But, I decided to take a little me time to make some cards.  This masculine themed card idea came about when I was coloring the image, which by the way is called "Fishing Shack", for the website.  My son is HUGE into fishing & so are several of his friends...not sure who's getting this card yet but one of them will.  I paired the Fishing Shack with a nice Happy Birthday sentiment.

I used a very masculine Memory Box 6 x 6 pad called "Woodsy Plaid"....I absolutely love this paper.  It's a 2021 pad so you can probably still find it...worth the effort to look for it.  I also used a YNS stitched rectangle dies & Gina Marie double stitched rectangle die.  I added some twine & a few buttons for dimension.

Copic combos

Roof - W8, W6, W4, B39, B37

Shack Browns - E27, E25, E23, E21

Window - B000, B0000

Knees turn to jelly....

Have you ever colored & image just to wait for the perfect opportunity to use it?  Well such is the case for me with Jack and Jilly Jelly.  This card is for my amazing husband.  My plan is to put it on the steering wheel of our vehicle next week.  I had to work on this card without him sneaking a peak, that was a challenge.  I think he is going to get a kick out of my little card.  I paired this adorable image with the sentiment Jelly Knees.

This is a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" so not too big & not to small.

I seem to be a little addicted to my Kaisercraft Summer Splash pad..I have used it on a few cards of late.

Copic colors just in case you need them....

Boy - BG07, BG05, BG02, BG01, BG000

Girl -RV29, RV25, RV23, RV21

Cheeks - E04, BG000

Other tidbits...Joy Craft Buckles Die, MFT Pierced Circles die, Kaisercraft Summer Splash pad, Enamel e\dots, Misc. ribbon & cardstock

Hope you are feeling whale.....

It's always good to have a few get well cards in your stash.  For today's card I picked the adorable Spoutin' Off with the Feeling Whale sentiment.  I get a kick out of sentiments that are a pun on words.

I designed today's CAS card with some bolder paper from Kaisercraft called "Summer Splash".  This is a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card.  I used a bit of the leftover patterned paper on the inside.

Copic colors just in case you need them....

Whale - W3, W1, W0

Water - B000, B0000

Cheek - R02, R01, R00 with 0 Blender

A dreamy birthday wish....

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommy's out there!!!

I decided today was the perfect day for a little me time in my craft room.  I colored Dreamy Willa such a long time ago & had her sitting on my craft desk with the patterned paper all ready.  I chose a paper pad from Basic Grey called Marjorie that I have been hoarding for a really long time.  Since you can't get Basic Grey anymore I am super cautious about what I use it for.  But Dreamy Willa was the perfect image for this paper.  I always need birthday cards so I paired Willa with this Happy Birthday sentiment.

These are the Copic Colors just in case you need them.....

Warm Grey - W5, W3, W1, W0

Ears & Hands - E04, R20, R11

Grass - G46, G43, G40

Stars & Moon - Y17, Y15, Y13

Eyes - B00, E02

Ladybug - R17 & 110

Other tidbits I used....Cardstock is Bazzil Granny Smith & Zinc, Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles, We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Fancy Floss, Self Adhesive Enamel Dots
