Happy Trick or Treating!

It’s Wednesday, and today I'm sharing a CAS card using Witchy Poo with Kitty Frame - P120 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Trick or Treat Greeting - H231 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Witchy Poo and Kitty are looking out to see all of the wonderful little trick or treaters coming to visit them for their treats! What are you dressing up as this year?

To make the card, I started with a 5.5" x 4.25" cards base. My Mind's Eye - Dolled Up - 6" x 6" was cut to the same size and adhered to the base card with double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain ink was used to edge across the bottom of the card. The image was stamped and then coloured in with Copic Markers. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image and then used a black marker to go around all of the edges.

The sentiment was stamped and then die cut with Essentials by Tattered Lace Dies - Easel Slider. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Carved Pumpkin and a black marker were used to ink all of the 4 sides of the sentiment.

The coloured image and sentiment were popped up onto the card using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape and some stickers were add for embellishments.

Happy Trick or Treating

My card features the oh so cute Angel Bear Clown from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Personally, I don't remember seeing any costumes this cute when we were trick or treating but I do remember the boys in the neighbourhood trying to scare the girls with horror type costumes and stories of haunted houses on our trick or treating path. These memories helped with my card theme....the spooky house.... eeekk!!!!

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and pencils for shading I fussy cut him out. I set him aside and created my background. This is an acetate front card so the spooky house scene is on the inside of my card base. I added some matching ghost paper to the top and bottom of my acetate help give the card some strength. The sentiment was stamped and cut out with a stitched banner die and added to the front. A few simple enamel dots finish off my card.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Tuesday!

It's Tuesday so that means I'm over on the High Hopes Blog sharing this cute Halloween themed card. I am using "Witchy Poo With Kitty Frame".

After I coloured up "Witchy", I cut the image out using a Stitched Square die. I layered orange cardstock behind my image and papers. The paper is from the Pebbles Boo 6x6 collection. All the edges of my papers are inked with Distress Ink in Black Soot. Using a Stitched Fishflag die I made the cute sentiment tag. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Simple Halloween". I added Clear Wink of Stella to the yellow sky for a nice shimmer.
