Snowy Love

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Halloween!  I sure hope everyone has a safe and fun time tonight!!!

As a reminder, today is the last day to enter your projects for this month's Challenge! Submit your entries for the chance to win your choice of two High Hopes Stamps!  Details for the Challenge can be found here.  We look forward to seeing your cards!

For today's post, I made a circle flip card using stamps from the new release - Joys of the Seasons!
 Inside of card...
This is Snowy Love (RR003), Think Snow 2 Sentiment (HH006), and Seasons Greetings Sentiment.  This is an adorable and fun image to colour!  The image circle flips to the reverse side when you open or pull the right side of the card to the right. How awesome is that???

I coloured the image with Tombow Markers and Water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to Snowy's nose.  A Zig-Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen was used on Snowy's hat and pompom for a little more sparkle.  The circles were punched using a 2 1/2" circle punch for both the image and the sentiment on the reverse side.  The designer paper is from Echo Park-'Tis the Season 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU black and red cardstock.  For a little added touch, a SU snowflake punch was used to punch the snowflake with a piece of white shimmery cardstock.  Xmas Red Stickles was applied to the centre and ends of the snowflake to match the red glittery tape ribbon.  The 'Tis the Season Glitter Tape is from Recollections.  A red rhinestone was added to the snow in the "Think Snow" sentiment as a finishing touch, to complete this card design.
Supplies Used:
InkTombow Markers - 491, 925, N35, N75, 761, 126, and 100. Black Embossing Powder and Versamark Ink Pad for stamping the main image and sentiments.  SU Basic Grey Ink Pad for sponging the edges of the sentiment circle on the reverse side.
Paper - Echo Park- 'Tis the Season 6x6 Paper Pad; SU Black & Red Cardstock, White Shimmery Cardstock (Snowflake).

Misc - Glossy Accents,  Xmas Red Stickles, Zig-Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen, SU Snowflake Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, BigShot-Circle Card Thinlits Die, Recollections- 'Tis the Season Glitter Tape, Red Rhinestone, Sponge Dauber, Water brush, and Glue Dots.

Penguin Surprise

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!
Come join our monthly challenge...and you could be the next winner of two High Hopes Stamps of your choice.  The details for the October Challenge can be found here.  The challenge runs through October 31st.
This is Penguin Surprise (SS005) and Ho Ho Ho Sentiment (HH002). This image makes for such a cute Christmas card!!!
I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I added some Glossy Accents to the Penguin's beak and the tree ornament. Frosted Lace Stickles were applied to the fur on his hat and pompom.
The image was cut down to size and layered using a couple of Spellbinder circle dies.  The pattern paper is from Simple Stories - Claus & Co. 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some red, green, and white cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped with a versamark ink pad and white embossing powder was applied then heated.  Foam tape was used under the sentiment to add some dimension.  I wanted to keep this card fairly flat, so it could be mailed out in time for the holidays.  To complete this card, a piece of Doodlebug Twine was tied in a bow to coordinate with the gift bow.  Also, some red rhinestones were added to the centre of the snowflakes on the sentiment.
Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - N15, N35, N75, 126, 133, 245, 055, 985, 847, and 856.  Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder, White Embossing Powder.

Pilgrim Pair Tag!

Hello, High Hope Fans!

Today, I am sharing an easy and quick project you can created in minutes!
The inspiration for this tag came from the beautiful colors of the apples. The stamp I'm using today is called "Pilgrim Pair"

I stamped the image with memento tuxedo black on copic paper, and also stamped it a few more times on small leftovers pattern paper I being collecting from years. I paper piece the clothes, bell buckle, hat, basket and pumpkin, the rest was coloured with copic markers. After I glue all the paper piecing I used C1 and C3 copic markers to give some shadow to the clothes.

Copic Markers I used: Skin E000 E00 V000 R20  Hair/Shoes 0 C1 C3 C5 C7 C9 Apples/Shirt R24 R29 R39 Leaves/Shoes YG95 YG97

Here is a close up!
In this photo you can see how pretty the paper piecing look. I pop my "Pilgrim Pair" with 3D foam adhesive. To created the tag I used the rest of the leftover paper. I used my distress tool and Forest Moss distress ink on the edge of the tag, I also distress the doily.
Don't forget to join in this month can find all the details here!

Scary Kitty - Lacey

Hello High Hopes Fans!!

If you are looking for your October Challenge you can find it here.
The challenge runs through October 31st!!

Today I am sharing a scrapbook page I made of my kids from a few years ago. I'm a little behind with their Halloween scrapbooking ;-)

I have a nasty head cold that I have been fighting with for over a week now and I really haven't felt well enough to do any crafting. Therefore, I didn't get the second page done. I will have to finish when I feel better.

This image is called Scary Kitty SS009 from the latest release.

You can find the new release here...

Fall Fun!

This stamp brought back so many fun memories! When we were kids we had to rake the leaves.....of course we moaned and complained but we kept it fun by making a big pile and jumping in them! I will also admit that I loved doing this with my nieces and nephews as well. After all, if you have to do chores, you might as well try to make them fun right!?

Let me introduce you to an older High Hopes stamp called Fall Joy. How fun is this stamp!?!

I chose to keep the layout simple on this card because I wanted the stamp to be the focus. I coloured the leaves, trees and raccoons with alcohol makers and added the sky with a blue chalk pencil. I mounted the image onto some card stock and then on top of a cut in half polaroid die cut. The sentiment is some rub on letters that I have had in my possession for a very long time! I added a metal heart and some fun orange twine and a couple stitches just for fun!

Spectrum Noir Makers Used: CT4 GB5 CG2 DG3 GB3 GB7 DR1 DR7 CT2 CT4 TN7 TN8 EB8 BG1 BG5 BG7

I hope my card has inspired you to go have some fun and jump in a pile of leaves! You know ya wanna....<wink>

Our October Challenge is Christmas/Halloween/Fall. Come and play along for your chance to win a High Hopes stamp - we can't wait to see your creations.

Winking Snowman

Howdy -
MichelleO here and today I used the new image "Winking Snowman"... isn't he just too cute!

How can you not smile when a snowman winks at you? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut him out and placed him on a blue pattern paper to have him pop a bit more. All the papers are from BoBunny's Blitzen collection. Love the darker colors with this collection. I chose a few of the pattern papers and then sewed on card stock mats and placed it all on a red card stock base. I used the fun sentiment "Have and Ice Day" A great sentiment from a winking snowman don't you agree? I added a off white ribbon and three buttons for embellishments.

And the Copic colors used -

Fun Winter Christmas image as are all the new release images !! You can find all of the new release HERE. Fall Halloween Christmas Winter all kinds of fun!

The release is now available for purchase...have you gotten it yet?

Hope you enjoyed -

Stickles were added to their wings and some  stitching too around the edges of the card.

Best Witches

Hey High Hopes Stampers!

This was a crazy fun box card to make....and it would probably be even more fun to receive as well, if I were sending it.

However, I didn't make this card to send out because I went a little crazy, and added a few over sized embellishments!

I actually made this project to use as a decoration, and... to incorporate some of the new Halloween Stamp designs for the High Hopes Stamps New Release.

For this project I used the Buncha Scraps Boo Crew Paper Collection for the box itself.

I stamped, and colored, a couple of High Hopes Witches with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut them out.

The top witch is  "Witchy Ride" ,  the middle Witch is "Witchy & Friends", the adorable little kitten at the bottom is called "Scary Kitty"...and the sentiment is called "Take Flight", which I attached to a tag that I punched out from the Boo Crew background paper "Halloween Stars & Swirls Black"

Here's another angle so you can see the base of the box a little more clearly.

For the finishing touches, I added some Halloween polka dot ribbon, to the flaps and tag bow, to coordinate with background papers, and I cut out a few scrolls, from Lisa Norris of Pretty Paper Graphics, to give the project some movement, and because I love scrolls!!

I hope you all enjoyed this project!

Joy Ride!

Look out everyone there's a new Claus in Town!
Here comes Bob and his wife motoring into Town all ready for Christmas! I can just picture the excitement they left in their wake! I mean who wouldn't stop to watch this cute fashionable couple cruise on by! This High Hopes image is called "Joyride".
Today I am using papers from the Carta Bella "Have a Merry Christmas" 6x6 collection. I cut a MFT Stitched Oval out in 2 sizes and layered them onto my A2 card. My image is cut out and popped up with foam squats for some added dimension. A bow, enamel dots and a Christmas tree brad (hard to see on the bow) finishes this project off.
On the inside I used the Stitched ovals again and stamped my sentiment "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" from High Hopes in red ink.
