Sparkle & Cheer

Howdy - Michelle O here today - Oh my Christmas is coming soon!! Time to get those Christmas Cards done and all our gifts wrapped. I like to make my own tags for my presents. With so many wonderful little images and sentiments they can be made pretty quickly and they add so much to a wrapped gift.

The new Sentiment "Sparkle & Cheer" is perfect!

I stamped the sentiment, the doodled around the edge. Then decided it needed more color to it and used my Copics to color! Dark red card stock, scraps of Graphic 45 papers (these tags are wonderful to use up those pretty little scraps of paper!) and then a couple of Whimsy Snowflake dies with red Ranger Stickles centers. Was fast and really does make things special for your To and From Tag.

Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day - and pop back tomorrow for the High Hopes December Release!

Dashing Through The Snow!

Happy Tuesday High Hopes Fans!
Today I am sharing with you the adorable snowmen trio called "Snowman Dash". These adorable snowmen just make me want to grab my sleigh and head out for a fun filled day. Certainly brings back memories of sledding with my girls!
I am using paper from the Bella Blvd Holly Jolly Christmas collection. Love the fun colours in this paper pad! I added some Liquid Appliqué for snow and some Stickles to the hat for a fun element.
Here you can see the dimension the Liquid Appliqué adds. It is so easy to use..... just apply where you want it, let dry then heat with your heat tool and it puffs up!
The sentiment on the inside is also from High Hopes Stamps and is called "Dashing Through the Snow"

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

Happy Sunday!

Anyone having snow already?? Here in Holland, the temperature is dropping this week, so maybe we are lucky!!

Since I got these cute snowmen, my intention was to make a window card with them.. and I like the way it turned out!! Yeay!

I stamped the little snowmen (you can buy the mini-set HERE), border and the holly and coloured it with Copic Markers. After colouring, I cut out all stamps and placed the borders on my card. I cut away the inside of the borders (all the way through the card to get the open effect) and glued the snowmen and holly in place.

Supplies used:
Stamps: Mini-set snowman (TT006), Open Holly (G273)
Papers: Bazzill white and red
Dessin Papers: My Minds Eye

Thanks for stopping by and have a great, great (stamping) weekend!

Candy Cane Wishes -- High Hopes Stamps!

Happy Saturday! I'm back with another Christmas tag creation :)
 Made with ...
I used a tag die from Tim Holtz for the base of my creation.  This could easily be hand cut with scissors into a tag shape if you don't have a die cut.
I used white acrylic paint on the base for a snowy effect.  These sweet penguins were coloured with Copic markers and pop dotted for added dimension.
Liquid applique, stickles helped create the scene!
The snow was hot glued into place....  Buffalo Snow Flurries were used, its the kind of snow used to create a village at Christmas.
Thanks for peeking! Have a great crafty weekend!

O Holy Night

It's Thursday and the last Thursday in November already!!!

Can you say full out Christmas card making mode anyone!?!

My mom loves the Nativity scenes. Whether it is ceramic, wooden, a picture - a nativity scene is her favourite thing at Christmas.........well that and snowmen but the nativity scene is her all time fav.

When I saw the "Let Us Adore Him" stamp from High Hopes Stamps I knew it would be perfect for her Christmas card along with the O Holy Night sentiment.

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and since I had my cuticle scissors out from my card yesterday I decided to fussy cut this one too - I was on a roll after all lol. I grabbed my ink blending supplies and created my background.
Something new for me - I also played with the new Nuvo Crystal Drops. You can use them to fill in areas or to make your own enamel dots. Note - make your enamel dots on something other then your card - if you mess them up putting them directly on the card ......well let's just say, mine aren't perfect but they are okay. I also used these drops to add some stars to the sky - a few are a little larger then I would like but I like the effect. Nuvo drops were also added to the star from the Shepard's Awe stamp also from High Hopes Stamps.

Old Pick Up Truck

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I am loving the Fall Winter Release at High Hopes it has been such has been a wonderful one, so many great images to choose from. But I have to say "The Old Pick Up Truck" is my all time favorite!

I totally love this Truck! Colored with my copics (colors below) Then I layered the image up with the Presents images in the back of the Truck. Then I matched the image with some of my favorite papers from Graphic 45. Love the traditional feel of these papers. I sewed the layers down with multiple zig zag stitching. Then the wonderful sentiment "Sending you Loads of Wishes"

The buttons for a little additional embellishment.

The copic colors used -

Thanks so much for looking! And Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Load of Wishes!

Hi High Hope Fans & Friends!!
Today I am sharing a bit of a different project. I usually make cards but this time I used the High Hopes image "Old Pick Up Truck" and "Presents" to make a cute display piece for my Christmas theme this year.
The background paper is from my Stash. To add the presents into the back of the truck, I stamped a second image onto a piece of post it note. Then I played that image over top my Truck and stamped the presents on top. This technique is called masking, and makes the present appear if they are part of the original stamped image. I added the High Hopes "Lg Snowy Pine" that I coloured and decorated with some Stampendous Spoonful of Snow embossing glitter. In the opposite corner, some Holiday Lights cut with a YNS die balance things off. The Crystal Stickles make then sparkle!

This project will look so cute with my red, silver and black theme this year!
Copics Used:
Reds: R32, R35, R37, R39
Black/ Grey: W1, W3, W5, W7, W9
Greens: YG61, YG63, YG67
Gold Wink of Stella
