Happy birthday pig

Happy Sunday!

Today I'd like to show you this Valentines Pig from the Valenswine Piggy Set wich I've turned into a birthday card.
I love to bake cookies and it's also a perfect gift for someone who has everything already.. just a little handmade gift to show you care about that person, I love those little gifts!

The dessinpapers are cheap ones I found in a budget store (yeay!!). The Happy Birthday die is from MFT and the banner from Lawn Fawn. I made a white banner and colored them with my Copics ;)
I also added the Flower Button Border. And last but not least some enamel dots.
It looks like a party on paper!!

Merry Christmas Tag

Hi there and Happy Saturday!
I've been getting kitten-y with this super sweet image  from High Hopes....
I used a die cut tag and covered it with some festive cardstock. Used a candy cane twine and added a bell and glitter.  My image is coloured with Copic Markers, fussy cut and pop dotted into place.
An added heart sticker and a sweet sentiment to complete the tag!

Pumpkin Patch

Howdy - MichelleO here and I so excited... It is official Fall now.. and so out come the pumpkins! This sweet image from High Hopes Stamps "Pumpkin Patch" is a great way to color up that seasonal feeling.

I colored the image with my Copics and then pulled out one of my favorite pattern papers, from My Minds Eye,  that I love with the Pumpkin images.  I sewed all the layers down with mats in dark brown and bright gree.

For a little embellishments I added Viva Decor Dots in the same colors. Was trying to put a sentiment with the card and then decided that the sign was enough. You think?

Copic colors -

Hope you enjoyed ... And have a little fall feeling~ Love that crisp fall feeling don't you?

Merry Christmas Placecard holder -- High Hopes stamps

Hi there and Happy Saturday. I'm back to share a little place card holder made with
High Hopes super cute Santa
I like this Santa a lot and have used him in many projects. I decided to make a cut behind his hat which holds the banner.  A name place card holder  for a Christmas table could also be added to Santa's hands but I decided to use a greeting instead.

Basically the place card holder is made up of three parts. Everything was hand cut without any dies.
A folded piece of cardstock, Santa image and a card that was traced around the image.
The folded cardstock goes between the card to hold it together and keep the image upright.

The image is coloured with Copic markers, liquid applique and a Christmas banner for some
festive fun

Get Well Soon!

Welcome Everyone;

Now that September is nearly over and the weather is getting cooler, that means more colds and feeling under the weather.

For today's post I made a CAS  card that could be used as a Get Well Card.  Instead of using design paper, I used Gina K. Designs Vibrant Vines Foil-Mates with a sheet of Brillant Blue Fancy Foils. This was then foiled using the Minc machine.  Unfortunately, the photo isn't showing the sparkle in the foil.

The image was stamped with Staz On Jet Black ink on some water colour paperand coloured with Zig Clean Color Real Brushes.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Garden Fence, Get Well Soon (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
  • Ink:  Staz On Jet Black
  • Paper:  Strathmore Ready Cut Water Color
  • Gina K. Designs:  Fancy Foils - Brillant Blue, Foil-Mates - Vibrant Vines
  • Zig Clean Color Real Brushes:  075 - Brick Beige, 047 - May Green, 053 - Yellow Green, 803 - Lavendar, 081 - Light Violet
  • Nuvo Crystal Drops - Pale Gold

Winter Joy!

For my inspiration post this week I decided to colour up a fun winter stamp called Candy Cane Penguin. How fun is this penguin - he sure is happy!!!
Sometimes you just need to jump for joy - no matter what the reason, just jump and let out pure and outrageous joy!

First I coloured up my winter background and added some Stickles to some of the snow flakes and snow banks. Then I coloured the penguin and fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. Since he is sooo happy I decided to put him on an action wobble so he wiggles and jiggles.
The sentiment is a wood cut out that is coloured with a red sparkle pen - the sparkle is hard to see in the picture but it really is sparkly!
Some twine and sparkly gumdrops finish off my card.

Medicine Man

Howdy - MichelleO here today and around here it is getting to be that time of year... where get well cards are in great need. And I think High Hopes Stamps Medicine Man is one of my favorites! Even when you don't feel well he can stir up a smile!
I stamped out the medicine man and then masked him off an stamped out his "bubbling brew" all good doctors need a get well brew! Then I colored both with my Copics (colors below)  The Sentiment is a must with these image... especially for the smile. "Get Well Soon, Or I'm calling the Dr.!" ok.. it makes me grin.

I found a scrap piece of My Minds Eye paper and matched it up with a Core'dinations yellow card stock mat and a dark brown base. I then cut out a Spellbinders die for some leaves and vines look behind the image. Everything is sewed down.

For a little dimensional  look and some bling I added yellow Rangers Stickles to the Fire and Nuvo to the brew, then Nuvo bright white to the "bones" the Medicine man is wearing... LOL

Hopefully this will make a special someone feel better - and to have more grins pop over to the High Hopes Stamps website and see all the fabulous images you can have fun with! HERE

Fall!

Hello HH Fans!
Today I am sharing something that's totally out of my comfort zone! I tried my hand at watercoloring this beautiful image from High Hopes called "Farm Background" with a watercolour paper palette. I still need lots of practice but I have to admit it was fun!
I started by stamping the image onto some watercolour paper and then using the palette, a brush and some water coloured it in. After it had time to dry I cut out the word "Fall" and added the letters back in with foam tape to create an "Eclipse" card. A bit of Designer Paper behind the image and some enamel dots finished it all off.
The Watercolour Palette is basically a sheet of paper with some small dots of water-colour paint. It was neat to try the Paper Palette's and I think you could easily make your own to take easily with you.

Until Next time......
Happy Stamping!

Winter Fun!

Welcome Everyone;

With the start of school and fall almost here, this brings the start of Winter fun and sports.  Hockey is a big one with my grandchildren.  They all play and can't wait for their season to start.

For today's card, I have used the adorable Penguin's Pastime stamp from High Hopes Stamps.  Copic Markers were used to colour the image.  Silver foil, and Turquoise & Silver Foil, were used with the Heidi Swap Minc machine to foil the snowflakes.

Hang In There

The design team is doing Anything Goes this week on the blog so I thought I would have some fun and monkey around a little!

We all need some encouragement or to know someone is thinking of us once and a while so I decided that Monkey Mike would be perfect to help not only bring some encouragement but also a smile to someone. I think he is pretty cute and he makes me giggle!

I tackled the jungle background first, colouring it with alcohol markers and then set it aside. Next I coloured up Monkey Mike and hand fussy cut him. I found some matching plaid patterned paper and cut it and matching cardstock to fit my A2 size. Next, I created a cardstock frame by using two different sizes of rectangle dies and added it on top of the background with pop dots.
Then, I took our handsome Monkey Mike and hung him from the frame by his tail. He has a pop dot behind him too because he kinda tilted sideways when I hooked him up by tail.
The sentiment was stamped and cut out with a fish tail banner die and a few enamel dots finish off my card.

Party Donkey

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I wanted to share one of my first High Hopes Stamps images.. I still swoon when I pull it out to play! "Party Donkey" is an all time favorite... I mean common folks how can you not love a donkey carrying a cake!

Now I know I have a bit of special place in MY heart for donkeys.. but the talent to bring you a cake should impress everyone. I colored my little guy with Copics after stamping the addition of the "Three Candle Cake".  On the cake I added some orange Stickles sparkles. I cut out the edge of the cake and then cut out the rest with a Whimsy Oval Stitched Die. As a mat I used a Spellbinders die. My papers are from Moda Scraps Little Boy collection that I sewed down with a zig zag stitch and placed on a brown card stock base.

Then for my sentiment "Make A Wish" from High Hopes Stamps. Works great with a Donkey bringing a birthday cake don't you thin?

Hello HH Fans!
Fall is in the air and with that comes all the adorable Fall stamps, papers and warm colours! Today for my post I am using "Harvest Harry".
My Design is very simple today with only one layer of designer paper and a bit of Burlap ribbon. I coloured my image with my Copic Sketch markers and then fussy cut it out with my Brother Cut N Scan. I popped the image up with some foam squares and added a few enamel dots for a bit of interest. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Sending Smiles".

Look what the stork brought!

Happy Sunday!

More baby cards this Sunday from me! I was in the mood for some cuteness overload...
What I like about this stamp is that you can color up two exactly the same images and create two different cards with it! This stamp is called Precious Cargo and I've added the Boy and Girl sentiments.

The cloudy background is created with a Lawn Fawn background die. I've used Bazzill white and black cardstock. Just add some blue and pink scraps, both the same sized pieces for a matching feeling. I've added some photo corners from a local shop and a tiny wooden embellishment to finish it off.

Let's Ketch-Up

How fun would this lunch invite be to receive in the mail!?!
Especially when it is sent to someone you haven't seen for awhile! I have a few people in mind that I could send this to just for fun!

Truthfully I am not partial to ants but they always seem to show up at a picnic and help themselves don't they? These two are pretty cute though so I think I am okay with them joining my picnic ... this time....

I coloured this fun pair with alcohol markers and fussy cut them. I added a "ketchup" line to the bottle by drawing a light pencil line where I wanted the ketchup level to be, coloured it and then used a black Memento pen to add the line.
I decided on my patterned paper and instead of doing a sky and clouds I thought hearts would be a fun background especially since this invite would be going to a close friend I haven't seen in awhile. I cut some grass to "ground" them and added them to the back of the stamp. After deciding on a font, I created my sentiment and printed it directly on my background square.

Some twine and gumdrops finish off my card

Tracking Thomas

Howdy - MichelleO here today... shhh I'm Tracking something special...

This week for High Hopes stamps I just had to dig into my older High Hopes Stamps and find Tracking Thomas... as soon as I saw the paper pad from Carte Bella's Cowboy Country collection. those tee pees from the collection needed Tracking Thomas right?

Handsome Indian Boy isn't he? I colored with my Copics (colors below) masking off Thomas and then stamping him a little tee pee for him to live in. This High Hopes Lg. Tee Pee stamp. and then pulled out three patterns from the Carta Bella Cowboy Country paper pad... the red solid, the teepees and then a stripe off of a buffalo pattern. Perfect band for my little tracker. I stacked them all up on a kraft card stock. Then the fabulous sentiment made for these imaegs "Tracking Birthday"

Great card for a young man or older man in your life don't you think? It makes me so happy to find perfect pattern paper for an image!
