Calling The Doctor

At this time of year I can never have enough get well cards in my stash. It seems every time I turn around someone is sick whether it's allergies, a spring cold or something more serious.
"Gnoming You Better" from High Hopes is a perfect stamp for a card to send someone to give them a smile and hopefully help them feel a little better.

I coloured up these fun nurse and doctor gnomes with alcohol markers and Prismacolor pencils and hand fussy cut them. Silver gel pen was added to the needle handle and needle as well as the top of the clipboard.
I found some lined paper for my "medical folder" and hand drew a heart beat line just for fun. I added a "tab" to the top of my file, masked off the sentiment (it is one sentiment but I wanted to split it up) and stamped the top line in the tab. A corner round gave me some rounded corners and then I stamped the second part of the sentiment.
A fun ribbon bow and some enamel dots finish off my card.

Springtime Joy!

Hi HH Followers!
Today I wanted to share a cute and fun card with you! This is the adorable High Hopes "Hoppy Froggy Flower", and he's got a flower just for you!
I coloured my frog with my Copic Markers and then using a terry washcloth and Copic Blending Solution, dabbed at the image to create some texture. I had an extra background from my "Shadow Box Card" post and it came in handy for this card. I stamped the HH "Springtime Joy" sentiment directly on the cloud background.  I added some Stickles to the "warts" on the frog and the flower middle for a fun  look! And doesn't he look adorable with his little "goggly eyes?!!
I decided to mount my fussy cut image on an action wobble for an interactive fun element!
Click play to see the wobble in action.

There is no doubt that the Easter weekend was rather a wet and damp one.  However, after all the rain we had it seems that the grass is finally turning green, the buds on the trees are beginning and some early flowers are starting to pop up.   It seems that Spring is finally in the air.

For today's card, a clean and simple one;  I have used the adorable Bunny Blossoms from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Goat Your Back!

Howdy - MichelleO here and we have a little "GOAT watch" going on here at our place ... With three pregnant goats and one of them ready to pop any minute the High Hopes Stamps "Goat Your Back" was just too perfect for me to color up this week! LOVE this STAMP!

Now with this image I went with some very colorful goats... hoping for a few multi colored kids - So with my copics (colors below) I went with a bunch of blacks, greys and reds. I found some papers from Paper Studios that seemed to feel good with the image. The sentiment "Hoping your Day"seemed Special for this trio of goats. I sewed all the layers down with a zig zag stitch and then found a ribbon that somehow just matched perfectly.

Getting so excited for baby goats ... or more baby goats!! They are coming soon!

Thanks so much!

Bloomin' Border!

Hello HH Fans!
I'm popping in today to share another "Spring Themed" card! I'm so happy the weather is better (I hate Winter) and I can't wait to see all the pretty flowers popping up in the gardens! I am using the HH "DH Bloomin' Border". I love this stamp because you can colour flowers any shade you want!
I took a pre-made 6.5x5 card and using my Spellbinders Label 28 die, made a shaped base by just slightly having one edge of my die off the card before I ran it through my die cut. Then cut matching layers using the same die and some Designer papers from MFT. I nice big bow and some PPP clear droplets finish off my card!
Here you can see the added dimension to my card by popping each layer up with foam squares. I also didn't stamp a sentiment on the inside. I thought I'd wait until I have an occasion to use it. This card is perfect for a sympathy, thinking of you or just because card.
Copics Used:
BV01, BV02, BV04
Y13, Y15, Y18
B05, BG01, BG02
RV21, RV23, RV5, RV29
G28, G67, G03

Egg-stra Special Pick Up

Hello my High Hope friends! I'm so happy to share this card I made featuring the Old Pick Up Truck and Tree Element stamp by High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Because Easter is tomorrow I threw in some decorated eggs into the truck bed and added an egg-cellent sentiment! I hope you like it!

I used Copic markers to color in the truck, tree, and the eggs. Here are the Copic colors I used:

Truck body: BG 01, BG 05, & BG 09
Frame: N 2 & N 0
Tires: N 2 , N 4, & N 6
Headlights: Y00 with 0 Colorless blender over top
Inside of truck/windows: BG 01 & BG 05 with BG 70 over top
Eggs: BG 05, Y 18, V 06, YG 03, & R 32
Tree leaves: YG 01, YG 03, & YG 07
Tree trunk: E 18, E 15, E 13, & E 11

I created the grass by diecutting some green card stock with a grassy hills die. I slightly inked the top edges of the grass with a little bit of green ink to help it stand out a little more.  To create the sky in the background, I used a stencil and some soft blue ink and very, very lightly blended the ink onto the card stock with the stencil.

For the sentiment, I stamped it in black ink on a small strip of vellum. I cut a glue dot into a very, very tiny piece to put behind the "Y" to make sure it stuck down to the card, then I wrapped the other end of the vellum strip around and adhered it to the back of the card stock panel. I really love how this card turned out, and I can't wait to share it with my family on Easter. For more High Hopes inspiration, be sure to join our Facebook group! Have a great day!

Mother's Day Waddles

Mother's Day is just around the corner! This month the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper design teams are presenting thoughts of spring with our cards.
For me, one of the things that spring brings with it is a day to celebrate my Mom, my mother in law and a few other very special women who are an important part of my life.

Waddles and her clan are perfect for a Mother's Day card for one of these Mom's especially because a couple of them are animal lovers through and through.

I coloured the stamp with alcohol markers and did some shading with Prismacolor pencils. Next I cut out these cuties with a stitched rectangle die. Paper from Echo Park helped me put my vision together with flowers and stripes. The sentiment was created on my computer and cut and mounted on matching card stock. Some ribbon from my stash and flowers from Poppies and Paperie finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Waddles - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Computer
Patterned Paper: Hello Easter, Dots and Stripes - Echo Park

Two Peas in a Pod

Howdy - MichelleO here this week while having some fun strolling through my High Hopes Stamps these two little cuties just were begging to be colored and put on a card. "Two Peas In a Pod" - adorable!

Cute right? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and matched it up with the perfect sentiment "Like two peas in a pod". I found some pretty papers from Authentique Cuddle Baby Boy pattern papers. Such pretty blue and green patterns. Then I thought a pea pod needed a leafy mat - Spellbinders die cut mat in green. I sewed the layers down and then added three enamel dots for a pop of fun. Such a cute image!

Copic colors used -
