Springtime Joy!

Hi HH Followers!
Today I wanted to share a cute and fun card with you! This is the adorable High Hopes "Hoppy Froggy Flower", and he's got a flower just for you!
I coloured my frog with my Copic Markers and then using a terry washcloth and Copic Blending Solution, dabbed at the image to create some texture. I had an extra background from my "Shadow Box Card" post and it came in handy for this card. I stamped the HH "Springtime Joy" sentiment directly on the cloud background.  I added some Stickles to the "warts" on the frog and the flower middle for a fun  look! And doesn't he look adorable with his little "goggly eyes?!!
I decided to mount my fussy cut image on an action wobble for an interactive fun element!
Click play to see the wobble in action.

Happy Sunday!

Today I felt like making a fun card. It turned out a shaker card with Willy One Eye!

*Bazzill basics cardstock: kraft and blue
*background kraft paper from a cookie box (hahahaha!)
*dessinpapers from Scrapdelight (a Dutch brand)

Spring is in the Air....

Welcome HH fans;

There is no doubt that the Easter weekend was rather a wet and damp one.  However, after all the rain we had it seems that the grass is finally turning green, the buds on the trees are beginning and some early flowers are starting to pop up.   It seems that Spring is finally in the air.

For today's card, a clean and simple one;  I have used the adorable Bunny Blossoms from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Bunny is stopping to smell the blooms and just enjoying his time doing it.  I stamped the card on XPress It Blending Cardstock and coloured the image with Copic Markers. Did Someone Say Spring?

It's time to shake off those winter blues get your happy on and show us your happy dance moooves!
I am having some fun with my card this week - I mean seriously a dancing cow?! She just makes me giggle and definitely makes me happy! This cow would be perfect to add a birthday cake or party hat to for a fun Birthday card too! We all express our joy in different ways and this party cow sure has the moooves!

After colouring this adorable cow with alcohol markers I added some shading with Prismacolor pencils to a few areas. I hand fussy cut it and ran a black marker around the edge to get any white I may have missed and popped her up using some foam dots.
Next I added some clouds to a piece of white card stock with a cloud die and some baby blue ink and cut it out using a slash stitched die. The fence with cut with my Cricut using the Old West cartridge and the grass tufts were cut with a die. A piece of gingham ribbon and some enamel dots finish off my card.

Bloomin' Border!

Hello HH Fans!
I'm popping in today to share another "Spring Themed" card! I'm so happy the weather is better (I hate Winter) and I can't wait to see all the pretty flowers popping up in the gardens! I am using the HH "DH Bloomin' Border". I love this stamp because you can colour flowers any shade you want!
I took a pre-made 6.5x5 card and using my Spellbinders Label 28 die, made a shaped base by just slightly having one edge of my die off the card before I ran it through my die cut. Then cut matching layers using the same die and some Designer papers from MFT. I nice big bow and some PPP clear droplets finish off my card!
Here you can see the added dimension to my card by popping each layer up with foam squares. I also didn't stamp a sentiment on the inside. I thought I'd wait until I have an occasion to use it. This card is perfect for a sympathy, thinking of you or just because card.
Copics Used:
BV01, BV02, BV04

Spring Is In the Air!

Happy Tuesday HH Peeps!
"Spring Is In the Air" and boy do I wish I could get into the garden like the High Hopes "Gardener Bunny"! We moved into a new development last June and we still don't have our grass or any flower beds yet. I know it's a bit early here in Ontario, but I sure would like to play in the garden!
You could certainly use "Gardener Bunny" for an Easter card as well. I chose to use papers from the Doodlebug "Hoppy Easter" 6x6 collection. I added lots of paper layers and tilted some of them for a different look. Sine I love my Copic Markers, that is what I used to colour my image.
I always like to add dimension to my cards. I like to pop ups the different layers with foam squares. I think it makes everything stand out better!

Did Someone Say "Spring"?

Welcome HH Fans;

It seems that Mother Nature can't make up her mind lately; as the weather has been on a bit of a roller coaster this past week -- one day it seems like Spring is here, then Winter comes back.  Did someone say "Spring" has arrived?

Springtime Joy

Spring is here and my dog has Moe has his "spring beans" as I call them. It is like the whole winter he has saved his energy so when spring arrives he becomes my wild child. Everything is done with a spring in his step and his chest pushed out like he owns the world.

When I had my horse it was the same thing. First day out in the field was a challenge for him to decide ......do I stop and eat grass or run around my field bucking and kicking............

The playful goats stamp reminds me of the pent up energy that my dog has - you know the kind......when all you want to do is run, play and kick up your heels!

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and Prisma pencils I hand fussy cut it. I wanted to put the goat on the left that is bucking on an action wobble so I cut him out completely. The mini action wobble is literally the width of his body so I had to be very precise with my placement but it sure adds a fun element!
I wanted to keep my layout more to the CAS side of card making to keep the focus on this fun stamp, so I grabbed some blue check paper and some white card stock andcut a circle out of if. I  the card stock in to my Misti and placed the sentiment and stamped it.
All of the paper is edged with antique linen distress ink, stitched clouds popped up with foam dots and some enamel dots finish off my fairly CAS design.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Playful Goats - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Springtime Joy Script - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Piggy Tales

Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Misti, 3D foam pop dots - Forever In Time, mini action wobble, circle die - Spellbinders, stitched cloud die - YNS, antique linen distress ink, enamel dots - Carta Bella

Spectrum Noir Markers: IG1 IG3 IG5 RB1 RB2 1B4 CT1 CT4 GB5 PP1 PP3 AG1 AG3 AG5

Primacolor Premier Pencils: Beige Sienna, Sienna Brown, Sepia, Grass Green, Sap Green Light, Dark Green

Sweet Dreams!

Hello HH Fans!
This month over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper blogs, the Designs Teams will be inspiring you with "Thoughts of Spring" themed cards. When I saw this stamp called "Sweet Dreams",  I just knew it was perfect for the theme! After what seemed like a long Winter, I want to be this cute ant catching some "rays" in a hammock! Maybe he'll switch places with me LOL!
I decided to make a "Window Surprise" card today. I love how you have a small peak of the image but when you open the card you get a "surprise" with the whole image. I chose paper from the Echo Park Spring Fling 6x6 pad. The fun patterns and colours just are perfect for a Spring card. After I glued my paper layers together I ran it through my die cut machine to cut out the heart shape. Using 2 different heart sizes I made a little heart frame. A double bow and some enamel dots finish the front of my card.
Here you get an idea of the window. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "One of Those Days".
On the inside is the cute "surprise" of the full coloured image. I stamped the HH "Hang In There" directly onto the square die cut with my image. The flower and flip flop both have glitter pen added to them.
Copics Used:
Greens: G28, G46, YG17, YG23, YG21
Red: R20, R21, R22, R2Yellow: Y15, Y18
Ground: E31, E35
Outline Shadow: B0000, B000, B00

Happy Stamping!
