Winter Holiday Selfie

Our winking snowman friend has gone on a winter holiday. Of course he went somewhere cold so he doesn't melt!
He stopped to take some selfies along the way and is sharing his favourite one with you........along with a few that didn't work out so great.

I used the Winking Snowman and the Mini Snowman set to create my card and with some masking magic (okay a post it note) I used two different sentiments to create one new one.

After colouring my stamps and hand fussy cutting them I ran a black maker around the edge to get any white I may have missed.
Next, I cut my cardstock, patterned paper to size. Since I had my Big Kick warmed up I cut my polaroid frame and filmstrip at the same time. I built my scene using a stitched border die and pine trees.
Then came the fun! I coloured two of the matching mini winking snowmen and cut them in half to make my "selfies gone wrong" in the filmstrip. Some icicles, twine and a few snowflakes finish off my card.

Howdy -

A little fun with High Hopes Stamps Party Cow this week! How can you not love a dancing cow??

My fun cow is colored with Copics (colors below) I added the perfect High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Don't stop the music". I found some papers from Simple Stories with yellow card stock and blue card stock that all the layers are sewn down. Then a matching pattern paper I cut out some larger flowers for the embellishment in the corner. Love how it matches the pattern paper.

Winter Owl!

Hello HH Fans!
We finally have some winter weather and snow here in Ontario Canada. I'm feeling like this little "Winter Owl" from High Hopes Stamps is perfect for the Winter vibe here!
I've had this paper from LDRS Called "Arctic Winter" that I've been dying to use and it was perfect for this adorable "Winter Owl" image. Winter Owl actually has some Christmas ornaments in the stamp. I masked them off before stamping my image for more of a winter theme rather than Christmas. I added Crystal Stickles to the pink areas on her hat and scarf and Liquid Appliqué to the snow on the branches. A bit pink bow finishes everything off.
I popped the inner octagon and image up with foam tape for a dimensional look.
More papers for a decorated inside and the High Hopes "Winter Wonderland" sentiment.
Copics Used:

Monkey Love

Valentine's Day is just a few weeks away ... already! Where has January gone?!
My post today features the oh so cute "Heartstrings Monkey" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
How fun is this cutie with his heart love banner!?!

After colouring up this cutie with alcohol markers I cut him out with a circle die. I used a dark brown Prismacolor pencil to add some shading and my Fiskars circle cutter to cut a card stock circle to go behind him. I chose patterned paper from Reverse Confetti and laid out my card base.
This card is done for the Bazzill Basics Paper sketch challenge so the design is based on the challenge sketch.

I added a fun heartstring banner, gingham ribbon and gumdrops to finish off my card. There is also clear Spectrum sparkle pen added to the monkey's hearts and all of the paper is edged with antique linen distress ink.

Are We There Yet?

We are not really having what is considered a "normal" winter where I live. We usually have a ton of snow by now but we really don't have much to speak of.
It makes it kind of challenging for the little ones who like tobagganing!

The stamp I have used on my card today reminds me of my younger days when the neighbours came over and we tobogganed all day. We had the best hill right beside our house so we didn't have to go far.
These three friends bring back some fun memories and we may or may not have had a couple times where one of us was the beaver on this fun stamp! <smile>

I coloured this fun stamp with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white edge. I set it aside and created my background using a birch tree background die and some birch tree patterned paper. The die is sized to fit an A2 size card so the trees on the main card base are actually cut apart from the finished die cut. I used a wavy edge die to create my snow hill and inked all of the paper and tree edges with antique linen distress ink. I added some fun glitter paper snow flakes (hard to see in the photo) cut out with a punch and added some matching sparkly ribbon to finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Toboggan Joy Ride - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Are We There Yet? - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Really Rainbow Christmas - Lawn Fawn,
Winter Wonderland - Simple Stories

Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Misti, My Creative Time Die (snow hill), Birch Tree Background die - Gina Marie Designs, Galena ribbon, snowflake punch - Marvy, glitter paper - Recollections, Antique Linen Distress ink,

Fragrant Blooms

Howdy - MichelleO here and I have been having so much fun digging in my older favorites from High Hopes Stamps - and being that I am in the mood for Spring to come I just had to color up this little cutie.. Fragrant Blooms! Isn't she sweet with her watering can giving those flowers a drink?

I colored with my Copic (colors below) then loosely cut out the image in a fun shape. I found papers from Simple Stories along with bright card stocks on a grey card stock base. I Adore that pattern paper with the wood grain background with fun comic flowers.  And then that perfect Sentiment "Spring is in the Air" For some added country feel I added some corner punches.

Sweet image with the flowers and bugs! Now if only Spring would come so we can see some real flowers!

Hogs and Kisses

Poor Pickles!!!He bought his sweetheart some balloons for Valentine's Day and they seem to have put a little too much helium in them!
For now all he can do is send Hogs and Kisses to his sweetheart and hope he back in time for the big day!

I coloured Pickles with alcohol markers, cut him out with a stitched rectangle die and set him aside. Next I grabbed some white card stock, a dauber, blue ink and a cloud die cut and created my sky background. This is an A2 size card so I cut some background pieces out of my cloud paper. The second cut in the background is for some added interest. The sentiment is stamped directly onto to the background and some matching enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Lg. Pickles Balloon Ride - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: Hogs and Kisses - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Misti, white gel pen, baby blue Memories ink, cloud Quickutz die, stormy blue Distress ink (sentiment), stitched rectangle dies - YNS, enamel dots - Carta Bella

Seeds of Friendship

Hello High Hopes Friends!
I am happy to be back again today to share a super sweet Wintry card using "Seeds of Friendship"

Today, I decided to work with an adorable winter image, that I created for High Hopes Rubber Stamps, called “Seeds of Friendship”. I just love this image because it depicts a snowy, wintry day with the sweetness, and kindness, of friendship! Can’t you just hear the silence that a fresh snowfall brings?

I wasn’t too sure, at first, of the layout I wanted to use for my card, but I knew fairly quickly of which beautiful colors that I would try to incorporate in my image.

I wanted to keep my design with a strong wintry feel and decided to focus more on my stamped image than the design elements around it.

I decided to use a piece of white cardstock which I cut and folded to create a 5.5 x 5.5 card with a stitched round window for the cover.

I colored the image using a combo of Spectrum Noir Alchohol Markers, Copics and Watercolors.

I added a few die cuts to create a little Winter scene and a few bling elements to add some sparkle because after all what's Winter without a little SPARKLE!

I hope you have enjoyed this fun little project and I hope I have inspired you in some way today!

Happy Crafting & Enjoy Your Winter!

Card Supplies:
Card Base: White Cardstock
Markers: Specrtum Noir Alchohol Markers – PV1 LV2 AB3 BT7 MB3 RB3 / Copics – YG61 B12
Die Cuts: Sizzix Holiday Greens
Miscellaneous: Sequins & Ribbon

Snowballs for Sale

Welcome HH fans;

Hopefully, there will be some snowfall this weekend for some good old fun with snowballs.  Where I live, there has been a lack of this main ingredient to be able to make snowballs never mind throwing them.

For today's card, I have used this adorable Penguin selling snowballs stamp called Frozen Fun from High Hopes Stamps.

After stamping the image, I coloured it with Copic Markers.  I used Nuvo Fresh Snowfall Glitter Accent to add some snow at the bottom and Nuvo Pure Platinum Mousse and Pure Sheen Ice White Glitter to the snowflakes.

Overwhelming Love

Valentine's Day is just around the corner! The "month of love" as it is sometimes called will be here before we know it.
This stamp reminded me of all of the cards I used to get when I was a kid. I used to love going to school with my bag of cards to hand out to all my friends. And then of course it was waiting to see if I would get one from that one special boy......

I think this possum is looking for that "special card" or letter too!

I coloured my stamp with alcohol markers, hand fussy cut it and added it to a sponged cloud background. I think paper from the Blowing Kisses paper pad from Echo Park was perfect for this stamp. Antique Linen ink was the perfect colour to ink all of the edges. I used a die to add a letter edge to fit the theme and a little heart banner. Some twine and enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Overwhelming Love - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment: I Love You More - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Clucker Club

Howdy - MichelleO here today and this week we have been talking about getting a few more chickens... and then I saw this stamp and just knew it needed to be colored. Clucker Club is just too cute!

I can only imagine what these girls are sitting around chatting about... I colored with my Copics (colors below) And then found a pattern paper from Paper Studio.. love the yellow and white polk a dot with the barn wood feel to it. Perfect for a little chicken coop pattern. A bright red card stock mat on a white card stock base really pops. All the layers were sewed down.  And then why do buttons feel right for a country chicken card? Not sure but they really feel right. And then the High Hopes sentiment "Hanging' with my Peeps" is just fun and perfect!

Copic colors used -

My first stamping love all those many many years ago was falling for High Hopes Animal Farm stamps - I still get that pitter pat heart when I play with any of them! And there are so many to choose from! To hop straight to the ANIMALS click the word!
