Bunny Family

Howdy - MichelleO here today with the new High Hopes Stamps August release, it has some adorable images, and this image of "Bunny Family" has so many uses!

Now it is over 100 degrees while coloring, and I was thinking of cooler temperatures, green grass and well.. SPRING. I love spring and around here we have lots of bunnies hoping around the farm. I always assume they are from one large family, so seeing this Bunny Family I just had to color them up to look like the cute little cotton tails around here.

Colored with my Copics (colors below) and then matched up a sparkle paper from My Minds Eye. It has heavy glitter to it, love that! For my sentiment I found the High Hopes sentiment "Say Spring?" I know my ears perk up and get happy when I hear "Spring!" I punched out the sentiment with a very old EK Success ticket punch, then used a Copic around the edge to create a faux border for the ticket.

Copic colors used -

There are so many fabulous new images in High Hopes Stamps August 2020 release! To go along with will their great collection!!

Welcome Everyone;

Well the summer is just about over and another month has been and gone.  How time flies.  This adorable dragon is taking flight to deliver some birthday wishes to some lucky person.

Just Motorin' By

I am having some fun with a humorous birthday card I created for my younger brother (shhh don't tell him). He is celebrating a milestone birthday (he's joining the 50 club) and is also the "teaser, joker" in the family so when I saw Walker Walter in the Summer 2020 new release I had to get him for my brother's card.

I can't lie, I giggled a lot when this card started to come together in my head......and even more so when it started to come together for real. I decided putting Walter on a slider was perfect for this card.

After colouring Walker Walter with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white border and set him aside. I decided some grey wood patterned paper with a touch of blue was perfect for the base of my masculine themed card. The light grey sponged look paper fit perfectly in to my plan and after cutting it to size, I used a slider die to cut the "track".

Some cloudy blue sky paper in the background helped complete my mini scene and I added some extra clouds just for fun. This piece is popped up using foam pop dots so the slider will move. Next, I cut the balloons and although it is hard to see on the photo, there is some clear sparkle pen on them just to add a smidge of sparkle.

I put the balloons on an angle so when he is moved across the card the balloons are "flowing" with him. Some twine and enamel dots finish off my card.

Wishing you blessings!

 Happy Wednesday HH Fans!!

I LOVE pigs....if I had a farm I would have a whole entire pen full of them.  I think they are just the cutest things...okay maybe a little dirty but dirt never hurt anyone right!

For today's card I used two different main images "Miss Peggy" & "Soo-eet Petunia & Audrey".  I wanted to turn this into an inspirational card so I chose the sentiment called "Too Many to Count".  I just think these days we have so much to be thankful for in our lives.  It may not be perfect or how we think it should be but it is what it is & personally I'm thankful for that.

Copic Combos

Miss Peggy - R02, R01, R000, R0000, C6, C4, C2, E000, E00, E01

Time to Smell the Flowers!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Daffodil Bunny - SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and Smell The Flowers - G189 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This adorable little bunny is taking time out to smell the flowers. We have a really nice garden of flowers that my husband takes care of. I'm not a green thumb at all. LOL! It's always nice to take a moment and enjoy the beauty of them.

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6" x 6". The base background was also cut at 6" x 6" using Craft Consortium - Cottage Garden paper and then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber. I just thought this paper went so well with this adorable image. I added the 2 colours of ribbon with some 2-sided tape and then adhered the entire background paper to the base with 2-sided tape.

The scalloped circle and inside image circle were both die cut using my Cuttlebug and Craftin Desert Diva's Stitched in Circle Dies. The circle in between the 2 of them was die cut with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies - Nesting Circles. The edges of the large scalloped circle were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry. For the sentiment, My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies were used. The die was larger in depth, so I just die cut one side and then turned it around and only put it part way through my Cuttlebug to cut the other edge. It too, was then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber. The image was coloured with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of the card, the mid circle was attached directly to the large scalloped circle and then popped up with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. The image and sentiment were popped up on top with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape as well.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Daffodil Bunny - SLF006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Smell The Flowers - G189 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry

Die Cuts: Craftin Desert Diva's Stitched in Circle Dies, Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies - Nesting Circles, My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies
Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape

From Our Gnome To Yours!

It's Tuesday!!
Tuesday means that I am over on the High Hopes Blog sharing another card! Meet "Snowy Gnome" from the August 2020 release over at High Hopes Stamps. Gnomes are all the rage right now and Snowy Gnome fits right in with the "gnome obsession"! I was in love with Gnomes and Fairies growing up, and I think that's why this guy holds a special place in my heart!
I stamped and coloured "Snowy Gnome" with my Copic markers and cut him out using my Brother Cut N Scan. I love these papers from the Polkadoodles "Ho Ho Gnome" 6x6 collection. I want to hoard this paper but "Snowy Gnome" deserved to be used on them! The HH Sentiment called "From Our Gnome" is just perfect for this card! I cut it in half and used the other part of the sentiment on the inside of my card.
Here's the decorated inside with the other half of the "From Our Gnome" sentiment.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E95, R20

Friends Are We

Social bubbles and social distancing are still very much part of our lives which makes it hard to meet up with friends whom we haven't seen for awhile or live far away.

I am missing my friends and have been making some cards that I can send to them just to let them know that I am thinking about them. The newly released Dreamy Dragon is adorable and perfect for a missing you, thinking of you card that I can easily pop in the mail and hopefully bring a smile to one of my friends.

I coloured this cutie with alcohol markers, cut him out using a stitched tag and popped him up with foam dots. The tag is much longer then I needed so I placed the die on top of the die cut image to the size I needed and it ran it through my Big Kick a second time.

I found some bright, cheery patterned paper from Photo Play, Lawn Fawn and Echo Park in my stash that keep the feel of this card happy and bright. Some ribbon in the tag hole and enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe

Stamp: Dreamy Dragon - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Butterfly Hi!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Butterfly Chick - SLF007 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image from the new August 2020 release and Flutter'in By - F004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This little butterfly has decided to take a moment to say "Hi" to this adorable little chick. Have you taken a moment to call someone and just "Hi" today?

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 6" x 6". I used the retired die cuts from Craftin Desert Diva's - Inside Scalloped Squares and a mixture of Momenta - Cardstock and American Crafts - Basics paper for my background. The same die cut was also used to cut the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock. The Copic paper was then stamped on with my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image with Copic markers.

For the assembly of the card, I first placed down the large background using 2-sided tape. Then I added in the 1st yellow inset using glue as it was easier to move around and get it into place. Lastly, I added in the last inset for the large scalloped square. For the smaller square, the coloured image and yellow cardstock were turned over and then taped together with some Scotch Tape. Then 3M VHB - 2 sided tape was used to pop it up into the centre of the larger square.

The sentiment was stamped with Memento - Tuxedo Black and then die cut with My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber was used to go around all of the edges. Then the sentiment was also popped up with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

To finish off the card I added on some butterflies and also a few Kraftin' Kimmie - Polar Dots in a few places.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Butterfly Chick - SLF007 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Flutter'in By - F004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber
Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Momenta - Cardstock, American Crafts - Basics (6"x6", 15.2cmx15.2cm)
Die Cuts: Craftin Desert Diva's - Inside Scalloped Squares, My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies
Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape, Kraftin' Kimmie - Polar Dots, Butterfly Stickers - 02-3051386

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Chick and Bow: Y17, Y15, Y13, YR18, YR16, YR14, YR12, B18, B16, B14, BV00, BV000
Grass: YG17, YG13, YG03, YG01

Good Times!

Hello Friends!
Who doesn't love a group of bunnies, especially these cuties!! Although..... I have to admit a "group" of bunnies in my garden is not ideal. They are eating like Kings LOL! But in the Spring the baby bunnies are just adorable! This image called "Bunny Family" is from the August 2020 Release over at High Hopes Stamps! I just love all the expressions on their faces!
I coloured each bunny differently using my Copic Sketch markers. Then using my Brother Cut N Scan, I cut around the image and also made a background layer. I popped the image up with foam squares for added card dimension. I used papers from the Doodlebug "Fun In the Sun" 6x6 collection. I used the High Hopes sentiment called "Good Times". All the bows have some Wink of Stella clear pen added to them. A cute ribbon bow (Thanks Donna) and some enamel dots finish off my card!

Gnome and Snowman Friend

Howdy, MichelleO here today and I'm cooling off from the summer heat by coloring up a snowman! One of the new August Release image from High Hopes Stamps is the cutest "Gnome and Snowman Friend

Used my Copics (colors below) and pencils to color up my new friends. For some reason I went more country than traditional holiday winter colors. But I guess Gnomes have to dress year round right? I sewed down my image to a piece of kraft card stock and found papers from My Minds Eye to use and sew down on the same kraft card stock base. I like how the darker colors make the snowman pop a bit! For the sentiment I found a PERFECT sentiment - High Hopes Stamps "Work of Art"  Love this one with my snowman images ... it has heart!

Copic colors used - filled my cup this time! Had lots of fun coloring!

It is so fun to have new images to play with! And High Hopes Stamps have had some great ones... to see this newest release pop over HERE and you will find lots to fall in love with!

Daffodil Thanks

Sometimes saying thank you isn't enough when someone has done something special or over the top for me so I like to send a card so they know how much what they have done means to me.

Daffodil Bunny from the new August 2020 release is perfect for so many different types of cards but for this time it is perfect to say a huge thank you!

After stamping and colouring my image I cut it out using a circle die and my Fiskars circle cutter for the card stock circle behind. I used one of the MFT Blueprints 24 sketches for the design. I added some sequins and glitter enamel dots in kind a flowing pattern and a matching ribbon bow to finish off my card.
