Christmas Penguins!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using Christmas Penguins - TDG004 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Happy Holidays - FDG006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This is just a sneak peek to all of the wonderful images coming soon on Monday, December 6, 2022 as we celebrate our Woodland Winter Release for the month of December at High Hopes Stamps.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25". I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card with my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Layers. With my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto the die cut and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured the image in with Copic markers and added in the snow in the sky with Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen. I combined Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and WOW! Embossing Glitter - White Puff Twinkle for their hats and pom-poms and heat embossed them with my Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. I added in the snow on the bottom with Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and Sprinkled some WOW! Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter on as well after using a Ranger - Emboss It Pen Clear in spots. This too, was heat embossed with my Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. Lastly, I added in some Stickles - Diamond for snow as well. I love sparkle. LOL! Using double-sided tape, I adhered the finished scene to the base card. I rounded the sentiment with a 1/4" rounder on the top and cut the 2 bottoms at a diagonal. Copic Marker R37 was used to go around the edges. I popped this onto the finished image using U-Line double-sided tape to complete the card.

You're Great!

Hi!
It's the last day of the "Gnome Mania" release over at High Hopes Stamps! The Design Team sure had a fun time playing with all the new images! Today my card uses the adorable "Let's Go Sledding" and the "Gnome Mistake" sentiment.
I wanted to use non-traditional colours on my card today so I decided on a pink and black colour combination. I used some papers from the Paper Rose "B & W Christmas" 6x6 collection and layered pink cardstock behind it. Next I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Friendly paper and coloured the image in with my Copic Sketch markers. I cut the image out using a Gina Marie Designs "Pleated Circle" die. For some added dimension, I popped up the image and sentiment with some foam tape.  A nice white bow finished everything off.

Brewin' A Cup ... again

Howdy - MichelleO here today - Have you been over and seen all the cute new images at High Hopes Stamps for the month of November? GNOME MANIA! Is going on there! Now I was so in love with one of the images that this week since it was out on my desk I just had to make a second card with it! I adore "Brewin' A Cup"  just so many people I know that would get a chuckle with this little Gnome and his coffee pot!

Now for my first card with this image I went with the coffee tones... but for this one I went perky and bright! I found some older Cosmo Cricket papers with a cross stitch theme... made me think of a vintage kitchen wall paper - And I love the colors! I colored with my Copic markers (colors below) and then stitched down thinks with a zig zag and straight stitch. Love when papers are two sided so you can mat with matching colors! Don't you? I used the perfect sentiment from High Hopes Stamps "Brew-tiful"

These Gnomes just make me grin! And a Gnome with Coffee is just perfect for a few people I know!

Copic colors used -

Have a "Brew-tiful" Day!

Not A Bill

I don't know about you but I love getting happy mail! I have most of my packages delivered to my office because the post office is open less hours than I work but I also love getting cards delivered to my home address.

There is something about getting a card especially a handmade one that gives me the warm fuzzies and makes me smile. I like to send cards too - sometimes "just because and of course for the traditional Christmas and holidays.
"Not A Bill" from the Gnome Mania new release will be perfect for me to send to my friends and family who need a pick me up or just so they know I am thinking about them.

Patterned paper from the Cream and Sugar and So Punny paper pads from Doodlebug were perfect for my card. I cut them to fit my 5.5" x 5.5" card base and to fit the layers for my design. I used a notebook edge die on the edge of one of the pieces and stamped the sentiment and put it on matching card stock and tucked it under the image. A bow and some enamel dots finish off my card.

The large oval was die cut using my Cuttlebug, Hero Arts - Infinity Die Ovals and Hot Buy - Recollections - Jewel Tones paper. This was popped up onto the square using U-Line double-sided tape.

With my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped both the image and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The sentiment was die cut with Whimsy Stamps - Quick Strips Die Set and Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Evergreen Bough was used to ink around the edges. The coloured image and sentiment were both popped up onto the card using U-Line double-sided tape to finish it off.

After stamping my image onto Copic friendly paper, I coloured in parts of the image with my Copic Markers. I decided to use papers from the Sunny Studios "All Is Bright" 6x6 pad. I had some fun on this card and paper pieced the Gnomes outfits from the matching paper. I haven't paper pieced in awhile and forgot how fun it is and adds a different element to your card. Helping My Mojo

Welcome Everyone;

A coffee to go is always a good thing.  Whether it be first thing in the morning, midmorning or afternoon or evening it is mostly for one reason only -- it helps with their mojo.  There is no doubt that it gets one motivated to go about their tasks whatever they may be.  But it is also enjoyable.

For today's card, I have used the adorable Hot Brew and Coffee to Go stamps, both from High Hopes Stamps latest release called Gnome Mania.

Using Tsukinko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped this image onto XPress It Blending Cardstock and then coloured it with Copic Markers.  I used an Eyelet Elegance Rectangle Die to cut the image out.  Even though it isn't showing up too well, but a Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Pen was used on the alternating stripes of his hat.  Some twine and enamel dots finished off this CAS A2 card.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Hot Brew - SLF024, Coffee to Go - FLL020. both from the new Gnome Mania Release, High Hopes Stamps
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP - Capsule Collection - Lincoln Linen (DoCrafts Papermania)
  • Copic Markers:
    • Skin:  E0000 - Floral White, E000 - Pale Fruit Pink, E00 - Cotton Pearl
    • Beard:  C00 - Cool Gray No. 00, C0 - Cool Gray No. 0, C1 - Cool Gray No. 1

Rise And Shine!

I am a coffee lover through and through and I am a morning person....after a cup ......er okay maybe two cups of coffee. I love to get up and have my first coffee by myself before hubby and the dog wake up and the house is quiet.

"Still Sleeping" from the new Gnome Mania release reminds me of myself when I get up ....okay not the messy beard but I can rock my bed head like he rocks his messy beard and bunny slippers! He just makes me giggle and I feel like he is enjoying his first cup of coffee watching the sun rise just as much as I do mine.

I stamped this fun stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloured him with Copic markers and hand fussy cut him. I set him aside and pulled out the Summer Stems paper pad from Honey Bee Stamps. Using a pleated lace oval die from Gina Marie designs I cut out a background piece for him. I cut an oval with a die out of matching card stock so I had a piece to put behind it.
I love putting a card stock layer behind my paper layers to help separate them and to make them pop. I cut a different patterned paper to become my background on the card base, glued the oval die cuts to it and added the stamped image using foam pop dots.
Next I used dies to cut out a sun and clouds to put in a cluster and some grass to go behind him since he is out in his yard enjoying the sunrise and his first cup.
To finish off my card, I stamped the sentiment and mounted it on some matching card stock and scattered some enamel dots around the clouds.

Card Recipe

Stamp: Still Sleeping - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Sentiment - Coffee The Rise - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Patterned Paper: Summer Stems - Honey Bee Stamps

Coffee!

Howdy!
The Design Team over at High Hopes Stamps is having a blast this month creating with the new "Gnome Mania Release"! I'm using the adorable "Coffee Bean" Gnone. on my card today. I love the "Nothing Begins" sentiment too! In my house it's so true.... nothing begins before that first cup or two of coffee!
I made a fairly simple card design today. To be honest I have limited supplies where I am right now and of course you never bring the right stuff with you LOL. To start, I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured it in using my Copic Sketch markers. I am using papers today from the Pink & Main "Best Friends" 6x6 collection. Once I had my image ready, I used a Gina Marie Doubled Roped Rectangle die to cut out my cutie. I stamped the sentiment onto a little tag die and added it to my card with some twine.

A Pot O'Gold

Howdy - MichelleO here today - Have you seen the Gnomes? It's a new release at High Hopes Stamps Gnome Mania! Today I had a little fun with "A Pot O'Gold" - How can you not love a little Gnome surrounding by $ !

This little guy is perfect for a great St. Patrick's day card - or any Irish friend's b-day! I colored with my Copics - and a couple of new Master's touch Alcohol markers I picked up while shopping - decided to fill in a few colors and try them out. Nice ... they work perfectly with my Copics and give a few more color options.

For my pattern paper I found some older Gorjuss  patterns that felt perfect for a St. Patrick's Day card. With a bit of natural feel to them. I may have gone a bit wild with layers though... the card will need more that one stamp as it is heavy! LOL I punched a couple of EK Success borders and sewed all the layers together. 6-7 layers in some places! whew.. machine was not happy with me there. I then found a simple sentiment "Happy St. Patrick's Day" from High Hopes Stamps that is punched out with an EK Success punch and then I lined around it with one of the Copic markers for a faux mat.

Copics used -

Sweet little card - and I just adore these little Gnomes! To pop over to the new High Hopes Stamps release "Gnome Mania" Click HERE and see all the cuteness!

My Mojo

When I am out and about and on the go and my energy is running low, I love that I can make a quick stop at my favorite coffee shop and grab a cup.

This stop has also become a tradition when I am with my peeps and we are heading off to a craft store or when we are travelling to a trade show.
I have some of the best memories of strange, fun and funny things that have happened with my peeps in a drive thru.....especially if there are construction cones around....but that is a story for another day <wink>
I love when a stamp brings back fond, warm memories and "Drive Thru" from the Gnome Mania release sure does that for me!

After stamping and colouring this fun stamp with Copic markers I cut it out using a circle die. I used my Fiskars circle cutter to cut a card stock circle to put behind it. Next I found some patterned paper from Honey Bee Stamps that was perfect for my card theme. I cut some of the matching "plain" paper in a strip to put behind the stamp and added a row of houses die cut.
Using the same plain paper, I measured and cut a frame to put behind everything. I stamped my sentiment, cut it and mounted it on matching card stock. A few matching enamel dots finish off my card.

Sewing Gnome!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Let's Sew - TLF031 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Needle & Thread- FFL024 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. I just learned how to quilt a few years ago and really love it. This new image and sentiment would be perfect for all of your quilting and sewing friends.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock - White, cut and scored it to be 6" x 6". I cut the 1st and 2nd layers using Recollections - Purple Passions paper. The 1st cut was 6" x 6" and the 2nd layer was cut to 5.75" x 5.75". These 2 layers were attached directly to the base using double-sided tape. The patterned background paper from Crafts - Designer Paper was cut to the size of 5.5" x 5.5" and popped up using U-Line double-sided tape. The smaller square was die cut from Recollections - Purple Passions paper using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out to the size of 4" x 4". This was popped up using U-Line double-sided tape onto the centre of the last square. Lastly, Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card was die cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities - Square Swatches for the image and My Creative Time Dies - Stiched Decorative Banners for the sentiment. The image and sentiment were both stamped onto the die cuts using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. I inked around the edges of the sentiment with some purple ink that was still left on my blending brush from a previous project I had worked on. Then it was popped up onto the card using U-Line double-sided tape. Lastly, the image was coloured in with Copic markers and I created some writing on the sewing machine to represent various stitch patterns using a Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen. Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen - Silver pen was used for the needle holder and the foot on the sewing machine. Once, this was all completed, I applied the image to the centre of the smallest square using double-sided tape to complete the card.
