Our friendship is magic!

Welcome All;

Another month is almost over, and we are all still at home.  Even though summer is approaching we are still advised against having family gatherings.  A hard thing to do as we all want to be outside and enjoying ourselves along with family and friends.

All of our friendships during these times are without a doubt more precious and magical.Well Henry is here to share some magic and cheer everyone up during these hard times.

For today’s post I used the magical Henry the Great from High Hopes Stamps.  After colouring the image with Copic Markers, I cut it out using the Wonky Stitched Squares Die.  The piece of white on the left hand side does have a pattern on it, but unfortunately the photo doesn’t pick up the design very well.  Some YNS Gumdrops finish off the design.

Transmitting Wishes

It's easy to transmit some fun Birthday wishes with "Robot In A Rocket" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. This fun stamp is perfect for a masculine themed card for someone on your Birthday card giving list. I have a few nephews that would love to receive this card - I may have to make more!
I stepped out of my box and made a galaxy background paper - for the first time ever - and it was sooo much fun to get my fingers inky!

Check this out on the High Hopes Website!!!

I coloured up my robot and rocket with alcohol markers and fussy cut it using cuticle scissors. I added some silver Stickles to the "wings" and window around the robot. I set that aside and using inks and white acrylic paint I made my background paper. This is the first time I have ever tried this and I can see doing more in my future!
I didn't have a moon stamp so I cut a circle and added some ink to it in splotches to hopefully make it look like a moon.
I added the stamp with 3D foam dots for some dimension, stamped and added the sentiment and finished off this CAS design with a few enamel dots.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Robot In A Rocket - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Wade Goes To The Beach!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Wade - 132 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Summer's Day Saying - L031 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Wade couldn't wait to go the beach. He's enjoying the waves and the beautiful beach and sunshine. It will be wonderful when we can all join him with our friends and families too!

To make my card this week, I started off with a white card base of 6" x 6". I cut out another piece of paper using Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock the same size as the base card. Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug using Stampin' Up - Sizzix Big Shot - Seaside. I loved the wavy pattern it created. Next, I used multiple Tim Holtz shades of blue to create the water effect. All colours are listed below.

I used my Cuttlebug and Your Next Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die Set to die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and white cardstock for my image and sentiment. I stamped the sentiment and image onto the die cuts and then coloured in the main image with Copic markers. The background was coloured in using a variety of Copic Refill inks, Colorless Blender and a Q-Tip. For the water, I wisped several colours back and forth and then added some Copic Colorless Blender and wisped the colours one last time. Once everything was completed, ran the image through my Xyron Creative Station so that it would lay completely flat on the blue cardstock I mounted it onto. I cut a thin border all away around the image and inked around the edges of the sentiment with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Brushed Corduroy.  Then popped the image and the sentiment using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape onto the base card. I added in a some sea shells from Dress It Up - Beach Collection and Craftin' Desert Divas - Seashells Sequence. I just removed the button portion and then used glue dots to attach to the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Wade - S132  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Summer's Day Saying - L031 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China, Evergreen Bough and Brushed Corduroy

Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape, Xyron Creative Station, Dress It Up - Beach Collection - #452, Craftin' Desert Divas - Seashells Sequence

Father's Day is coming up soon, so I made these adorable cards to celebrate the Fathers in our lives! I am using the High Hopes Stamp image called "Carpenter Steve". The papers on this card are from the Honey Bee Great Outdoors 6x6 collection. I added some red twine and MFT Tool Charms. Some nice red enamel dots finish off this card.
This card is asimple design just using cardstock layers along with plaid paper from the PhotoPlay Mad 4 Plaid 6x collection.

Emily's Snuggle Bunny

Howdy - MichelleO here today - Oh my how could you not love a sweet little girl with an adorable little bunny? This is Emily's Snuggle Bunny from High Hopes Stamps

Totally Sweet right? I colored with Copics (colors below) and then shaded with pencils. I then cut out the image to give her more of a pop. I found a piece of paper from October Afternoon Modern Homemaker collection. Love the pink and red. I placed Emily on a piece of red card stock for a more dramatic pop. I layered up and then sewed the layers together with straight and zig zag stitches. The sentiment is "All Your Dreams Come True" is too sweet to match up with Emily!

"Thinking of You"....

Welcome All!

It's hard to believe that it has been ten weeks since everything came to a grinding halt and total hibernation has taken over.

Today's CAS card is rather fitting with the whole COVID situation that everyone is dealing with.  I have used the adorable Thoughtful Kimberly paired with One of Those Days, both from High Hopes Stamps.

More Bubbles

It's all about blowing bubbles this week with the adorable "Dwight" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
On the weekend my little three year old neighbour came over for a visit. He brought his "leaf blower" with him which is a battery operated bubble blower and his lawn mower. After he mowed my lawn with his popping mower he blew off my lawn with his "leaf blower". He was giggling from his toes when the bubbles surrounded my dog and I and he could hardly contain his laughter when they landed on my hair and popped. That was the funniest thing for him that day...... I could still hear his laugh as I coloured up Dwight.

Here's hoping your day is filled with more bubbles and giggles then troubles!

Greatest Fisherman

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Norman - Q038 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Worlds Greatest Fisherman - H159 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Norman is very happy today as he caught a magnificent Lobster. My dad LOVES fishing and can't wait to go fishing again. Hopefully, that time will come soon and then he'll be smiling just like Norman with his big catch of the day!

To make my card this week, I started off with a card base of 5.5" x 4.25". I used Belle Blvd - Secrets of the Sea paper for the main background.

I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and then die cut it with my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time - More Stitched Circles. I cut a slightly larger circle out of Orange cardstock with Lifestyle Crafts Cutting Dies - Nesting Circles and glued it down on top of the background paper. I coloured in the background using a variety of Copic Refill inks, Colorless Blender and a Q-Tip which I used to apply the colours. For the water, I wisped several colours back and forth and then added some Copic Colorless Blender and wisped the colours one last time. Lastly, I added some white caps by dabbing Sharpie Water Based Paint - White - Extra Fine Point onto the surface. I completed colouring in the rest of the image with Copic markers and then popped it and the sentiment using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.
