Fall is here and this week my card was inspired by all of the gorgeous fall decor I see in my daily travels to and from work and around town. I see so many beautiful fall displays with everything from pumpkins to scarecrows and everything in between. This card has used a lot of stamps from High Hopes (list below the pictures) and involved a lot of fussy cutting but I am happy with how it turned out!

Thanksgiving Mice
The leaves are starting to turn beautiful fall colours where I live and that means fall and Thanksgiving are just around the corner. I feel the leaves are changing early this year but it has inspired me to get my Thanksgiving cards started. White pumpkins are very popular where I live so I stepped out of my comfort zone and coloured the pumpkin on the "Harvest Mice" stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps as a white pumpkin instead of the traditional orange for my first Thanksgiving card of the year. How cute are these three!?!

Rudy's Happy Harvest
It is time for crops to be harvested and that means my daily commute usually includes a tractor or two. Crops are coming off the fields and the farmers are working hard to feed their families and animals. One of the places I drive by has a garden at the front of a corn field and for awhile they had a homemade scarecrow "standing" at the edge of the garden. It made me smile to see the aluminum pie plates blowing in the breeze and inspired my card featuring "Lg. On Guard Rudy" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. He is going to be happy to rest after the crops are off the fields and the produce is out of the garden!

Pumpkin Thank You
Sometimes someone does something so kind that just saying thank you isn't enough so I like to send a card. I love the "Pumpkin Border" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps so I decided to use it for a seasonal thank you card for just such a person.
I had a "plan" for this stamp and card design but when I started putting my plan together thing went sideways real quick. In the process of trying to make my original plan work I ended up coming up with a mini slim line design that actually works a lot better then what I had planned - can you say happy accident?

First Day Of Fall
Happy first day of fall! Fall means cooler temperatures, pumpkin patches and corn mazes to run through and October and Thanksgiving are just around the corner. To help ring in a new season I have chosen to use "Country Harvest" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps a gorgeous fall stamp and I think perfect for a Thanksgiving card too!
After stamping and colouring the stamp with copic markers, I used a stitched edge die to cut an the bottom of the stamp. The stitches don't show but I wanted a clean curve edge for my design. I wanted to keep the patterned paper for the background and card design simple to keep the focus on the stamp so I chose a simple wood grain paper and put it on a 6x6 card base. After cutting the curve edge I mounted it on matching card stock and cut the edge again. To add a bit of colour I added some pieces of gingham patterned paper. A sentiment, twine and enamel dots finish off the card.

Happy Harvest
I live in a rural area and one of the reasons fall is my favourite time of year is that around where I live and on my drive to work, I pass many fresh farm produce stands at the end of farm lane ways. I don't always get a chance to stop but when I do, I enjoy fresh corn, peas, squash, flowers - I've seen some huge sunflowers this year, eggs and beans to name a few. "Happy Harvesting" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps reminds me of these stands because I think it looks like he is taking his fresh produce out to put on his stand. It all looks very yummy!

Chillin' Tommy Thanksgiving
Am I the only one who looks like Chillin' Tommy Turkey after a Thanksgiving dinner?!? Okay I WANT to be like him but I host my family for Thanksgiving and I think it may be frowned upon if the hostess would curl up and have a nap...no? I am blessed to do the dinner and I love having my family over. There is always lots of good food and some friendly banter with my brother and nephew just to keep things spicy.
"Chillin' Tommy Turkey" from the Happy Halloween/Fall release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps is perfect for my Thanksgiving cards for family and friends. He actually reminds me of my brother who is the one who does! take a nap after dinner.....

Little Nutty Buddy
It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a card featuring Little Nutty Buddy - M150 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) with the sweet sentiment Happy Fall Y'all - G086 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). My husband and I went on a wonderful nature walk this past weekend through the forest to see to falls. It was very beautiful seeing the fall colours and the little squirrels running around gathering acorns for their winter supply of food, just like little Nutty Buddy.
To create the card this week, I began with base card 5.25" x 4.25" from The Paper Studio - Primary Base Colours. I inked around all of the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Ground Espresso. The scalloped circles were die cut using my Cuttlebug and Spellbinders Nestabilities - Petite Scalloped Circles - Large. For the larger circle - AC Cardstock - Autumn was used and then inked around with the same ink used on the base card. The background acorn paper was die cut using My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies. Both of the background papers are from Your Next Stamp - Fabulous Fall collection. I inked around the patterned die cuts with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spiced Marmalade.
The sentiment was stamped with Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and then Nellie Snellin Die - MFD 007 was used to cut it out. I then cut the border part of the die cut off and just left the oval centre. This was inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spiced Marmalade. 2 Kraftin' Kimmie - Holiday Dots were added on both sides.
I stamped the main image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. It was coloured in with Copic Markers. Then I put it through my Brother Scan and Cut to create the thin white border around the image.
To assemble the card, I attached the main background and large scalloped circle directly to the base using 2-sided tape. The sentiment, smaller scalloped circle and image were popped up with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

Something Yummy
Fall is fresh apple season - welcome fall! When we were kids, one or our chores was to pick the apples that grew on the trees in our back yard. This wasn't necessarily one of our favourite chores and there may or may not have been a few rotten apple fights over the years.

Sentiment: Something Yummy - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Happy Fall Y'All
It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a card featuring Fall Joy - T041 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) with the sweet sentiment Happy Fall Y'All - G290 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). These racoons are having a blast playing in the leaves. We used to do that too when we were little. So much fun. I love seeing all of the beautiful fall colours. Such a wonderful time of the year.
To create the card this week, I stamped the main image and then coloured it in with Copic Markers. Using My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies, My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Layer Dies and my Cutttlebug, I die cut the main image and the background layers.
For the base card 5.25" x 4.25", I used The Paper Studio - Primary Base Colours. The backing behind the main images is from AC Cardstock - Autumn. I attached the main image to this piece using double-sided tape. The plaid paper is from PhotoPlay - Gnome for the Holidays Thanksgiving. Once this background paper was die-cut, all of the edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Carved Pumpkin. This was then applied directly to the base with double-sided tape.
To complete the assembly, I added 3M VHB - 2 sided tape on the back of the first layers and popped them up onto the bottom 2 layers. The sentiment was stamped with Memento - Tuxedo Black in and I fussy cut around it. I ran this through my Xyron Create a Sticker and then layered it onto some Orange cardstock. Then I fussy cut around it again and ran it through my Xyron as well. Then I inked around the edges with the same Tim Holtz ink I used earlier. I placed it over the main image and used 2 very small pieces of 3M VHB - 2 sided tape where it went over the edges of the main image.
Card Recipe:
Stamp: Fall Joy - T041 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Happy Fall Y'All - G290 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
