Toad-ally In Love!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Toad-ally In Love - M127  for the image and sentiment. I toad-ally love this sweet image because it can be used for both Valentine's Day, an Anniversary or just to let someone know that you love them.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5" x 5". I used Picket Fence - Blending Brushes, Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Mowed Lawn, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, Festive Berries, Fired Brick and Barn Door and Lawn Fawn - Lots of Hearts Background Stencils to create my card background. Using Lawn Fawn - Valentine's Hearts Border and my Cuttlebug, I die cut some Craft Smith - Hot Buy - Green and Forever In Time - Texture Rouge cardstock and adhered the 2 pieces together with some glue. I did this twice and then glued the 2 finished pieces to the base card. With my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. I then die cut it using Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard - 562676 - Hearts Dotted. The image was coloured in and popped up onto the background using U-line douhble-sided tape. I applied some glue onto the backs of 3 of the pre-cut hearts and placed them onto the base background to complete the card.

Hoppy Valentine's Day

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a Valentine's Card featuring Bunny Love - S054 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Hoppy Valentines - F092 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Love this adorable image and it can be used for so many different occasions, Valentine's, which I've used here, Easter or even for an Anniversary card.

To create the card this week, I stamped the main image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. I coloured in the main image with Copic Markers. Then I fussy cut around it. The sentiment was die cut using Whimsy Stamps - Quick Strips Die Set - WSD330.

To create the base I began with AC Cardstock - Christmas (6" x 6"). Then I die cut K&Company - Kelly Panacci - KP Valentine - 30-599338 paper using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out. For the smaller heart, I used K&Company - Kelly Panacci - KP Valentine - 30-599345 paper and Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard - 562676 - Hearts Dotted dies. I also used the same dies to cut the larger heart using Recollections - Christmas Noel paper. I inked around all of the cut images with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Aged Mahagony and also Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Barn Door.

To assemble the card, the large square was attached directly to the base using double side tape. All of the remaining layers were popped up using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

It's No Mystery!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Litte Sleuth - R205 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for my main image and No Mystery - H204 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). This little sleuth has uncovered the clue to why he is so in love with his special someone. This card could be used for Valentine's Day, Anniversary or even a birthday!

To make the background for the card, I die cut multiple squares using My Creative Time - Stitched Squares Inside and Out in various brown cardstock and some white Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock.

For the brick background, I used Darice - Brick Wall Embossing Folder and then various Tim Holtz inks listed below to give the different colours for the texture.

I coloured in the main image with Copic markers and then fussy cut around it and used a black marker to go around all of the edges.

I layered all of the pieces together using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape to pop them up and then 2-sided tape to mount the final square onto the 6" x 6" card base.

To finish off the card, I used some brown twine and criss-crossed it to make a little bow and added in the question mark using some clear gems that I coloured with E23.

Owl Always Love You!!

Welcome High Hopes Rubber Stamps Fans!

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a card that I made using 2 little love birds called Feathered Friends S261 for the main image and Owl Love You G239 for the sentiment.

This card can be used for either Valentine's Day or for an Anniversary.

I decided to try something new this week and wanted to make the owl's feathers look real. I believe that I was finally able to get the look that I was after. LOL!

After my main image was all coloured in, it was time to create the sky. Before doing this, I decided to die cut the image first using Lawn Fawn - Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables. Next, I taped the main image down onto a piece of thin cardboard and then taped the die cut down on top of it.

This allowed me to use the inner part of the frame to colour and to leave the outer part of the frame white. I used a variety of Blue Copic markers to create the sky. I had also drawn in some heart shaped clouds with BG70 first, so that I would know where to stop with the other blues. Once my sky was all coloured in, I then used a Colorless Blender to soften the images around the cloud-shaped hearts and also to create some other small hearts as you can see in the finished card above.

To complete the card, I mounted everything onto Cyan and White cardstock and then mounted the image and sentiment on top using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. Lastly, I added in some small hearts which I had die cut using Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard - 562676 - Hearts Dotted die. I ran these little hearts through my Xyron to turn them into stickers and then placed them onto the card.

For The World To See

Happy New Year High Hopes fans and to my followers! I hope this new year and decade - yikes! brings you lots of love, happiness and crafty time!

How cute is this beaver couple with their big sparkly teeth!?! Mr. Beaver sure is proud of his carving abilities and is quite the romantic I'd say!
This stamp and sentiment are perfect for Valentine's Day, Anniversary or Birthday cards to name a few.

After colouring this cute pair with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut them using my trusty cuticle scissors and in the small spaces an exacto knife. Patterned paper from Lawn Fawn was perfect for these two.
I used a small heart die from another stamp and die set to cut out the hearts above her head after I glued the paper and card stock together. This gave me the chance to use the solid card stock or the patterned paper in those spaces. The heart above him is cut from matching paper.
Some ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.
