Boo Family Halloween

Today I am sharing a fun card that is Halloween themed but in some non-traditional Halloween colours. I'm not sure what this card style is called but it is a fun fold and the stamped image slides up or down the card and is removed to reveal the inside. The "Boo Family In Frame" and the "Boo-tiful Day" sentiment fit perfectly on to the "slider".

I stamped the Boo family on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured it with Copic markers and hand fussy cut it. I set it aside and created my card base. The link to the video I followed is broken but I will re link it if it becomes available. After creating the card base I used patterned paper from an old We R Memory Keepers pad and cut the papers to fit.
To create the inside, I added a piece of white card stock to the patterned paper and added a fun row of houses, a spooky tree, a spider web and the Happy Halloween sentiment. I glued the stamped image and Boo-tiful Day sentiment to the "slider" for the front of the card. All paper is edged with black soot Distress ink and enamel dots finish off my card.

The Boo Crew!

Happy Tuesday!
Halloween is just around the corner and I needed one more card to send out! I decided to use the High Hopes  rubber stamp called "Boo Family in Frame". Normally these cuties are all together in one frame but I decided to do a different take on them.

Here you can see my craziness LOL. As I have used this stamp before I wanted to see if I could use it in a different way. It's been a while since I used the MFT Precious Polaroids dies and an idea popped into my head. On the left of the page is the original stamped image. Then I stamped it 3 more times and using correction tape taped off parts of each image so it would block our parts of the other ghosts. Now the image would fit into my little frames. I photocopied the blocked out images onto Copic friendly paper.
Here you can see the end result of my corrective tape nightmare LOL. Each ghost is isolated enough now to look like they are by themselves for each frame. If there were any "missing" sketch lines due to tape error, I drew them back in. Now, I went ahead and coloured each Ghost in and added them to the Polaroid frames. My papers today are from various Doodlebug Halloween themed 6x6 pads. I added a film strip, and mounted the "Boo Crew" sentiment on top with dimensional tape. A scattering of enamel dots finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Ghosts: C00, C1, C3 / YR04, YR09/ R01
Their ties: YR04, V17/ YG25, V06
Wood Frame: C5, C8
Stars: Y26, Y28

Happy Halloween!

Happy September 1st!
Wow the summer sure went fast and now it's time to start thinking of Fall and Halloween cards! I'm excited to be using this "Boo Family In Frame" from High Hopes Stamps for my first Halloween card of the season! The faces on these Ghosts are just too adorable to be spooky!
I started my card by stamping the image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured the image with my Copic Markers. Using the larger die from the YNS "Stitched Polaroid Frame", I cut out the image. I also cut another frame using some purple cardstock and added the "Happy Halloween" sentiment with embossing ink and Black embossing powder. I am using papers for the Brutus Monroe "Happy Haunting" 6x6 collection. I popped the purple frame up with foam tape and inset the square "Boo Family" for a bit of added dimension. It's hard to tell in the picture but the stars and bows on the ghosts all have Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen added to them. A gooey drip border, web, sider and bats scattered about finish off my card today!
Copics Used:
Ghosts:C00, C1, C2, YR04, R01, R22
Bows: V05, V06, V09
Stars: Y18, YR04
Sky: YG00, YG01, YG03
Frame: T4, T5, T7

Boo! To You!

Welcome back again to the High Hopes blog and more terrific fall/Halloween inspiration!

Today I have for you the Boo Family in Frame. This happy family is ready to bring you Halloween greetings. I love the size of this image on the front of my A2 cards. For those wondering, the sentiment on this card comes from Script Easter Greetings. A great way to get two holidays out of one sentiment!

Have a perfectly lovely Sunday and we'll see you again next week with more great inspiration from the talented team at High Hopes Stamps.
