It's Spring!

Hello!!
Spring is finally here and it couldn't come soon enough for me. I love the longer days and the sun that has been showing its face lately! It's so nice looking at the window at the plants and trees that are beginning to turn green and sprout! My card today features the adorable "Bunny By Birdhouse" from High Hopes Stamps!
I started my card by stamping the image onto some Copic Friendly paper with my Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then I coloured the image in with my Copic Markers. Next I cut the image out with a Fishtail die and added a blue cardstock layer behind it. I decided to use a piece of blue gingham paper from the MFT Gingham Galore 6x6 collection. I added a die cut blue piece that I embossed using the Tailored Expressions "Flower Power" embossing folder. The sentiment called "Spring Has Sprung" also from High Hopes Stamps goes perfectly with this adorable image! Some ribbon, a bow and button finish off my card.

Burt & Doris

Howdy - MichelleO here today and this week for High Hopes Stamps I pulled out some old friends! I adore the "Seniors" stamps from HH.. and "Burt & Doris" are just fabulous!

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some romantic papers from Prima Tales of You and Me collection. Love the Roses! I cut out the image and attached to the floral fence paper, then cut out the roses from another sheet and Pop Dotted them for 3-d look. All the layers were sewn together on a deep rose color card stock and then everything placed on a tan card stock base. The sentiment "Happy Anniversary!" is also from High Hopes Stamps, I love the font!

Don't you think Burt and Doris are a sweet couple? too cute!

A little crafty help from Bella!

Happy Saturday!

It has been several weeks since I have had the chance to post a new crafty creation.  With all that is going on in the world currently things have just got in the way of me getting into my craft room.  BUT after figuring out what our new normal is like I think I will have more opportunities to "Play"!

I did get some crafty help from our lovely and extremely affectionate "Bella".  Here she is trying her best to swipe my twine...which by the way she actually did get & now I cannot find.  This gal also thinks it's totally cool to lay on Mommy's arm while she tries to get some coloring done.  The icky part of that is she gets so excited that she drools all over my arm....yuck right!!  But she is my "crafty kitty" & loves to spend time with me.

I wanted to create a card that was clean & simple but I also had "white" on the brain.  I think because it's such a "clean" color to me & gosh do we need that right now.  So I chose this beautiful image from our High Hopes collection called "Cindy's Garden".  Spring is here & the flowers will soon bloom I also know some people who could really use a pick me up right now.  I paired Cindy's Garden with the sentiment "Flutter'in By" which I think is such a whimsical verse.  I just added some very light pink for the matting & a few enamel dots....no ribbon...can you believe that!  I even kept the colors for the image simple.

 Copic's used
Brown - E49, E47, E44
Pink - RV29, RV25, RV21
Green - G21, G20

Hugs To Cheer You

I don't know about you but I think this will be me running to give hugs to all my friends and family when the social distancing is over.
I miss giving them and I miss receiving them but until I am able to give and receive hugs again I am using the oh so cute "Gonna Getcha" from High Hopes to send a hug in a card to someone on my needs a hug list.
Paired with the "Hugs to Cheer You" sentiment it is a fun hug in a card!

Speaking of sharing smiles and love check this out on the High Hopes Website!!!

After colouring this cutie with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut it and ran a black marker around the edge to cover any white edges. Some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn was perfect for the cheery but warm feeling I was looking to give with this card. I cut a pleated lace circle and added some matching paper and a few hearts just for fun.
Diamond Stickles on the buttons on the overalls gave me the touch of bling I like to add to my cards. Ribbon and enamel dots finish off this 5" x 5" card.

May Your Day Be Filled With Love!!

It’s Wednesday, and I'm back this week to start off April with lots and lots of love from Elmer the Elephant using Elmer Elephant - Q043 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Large Filled With Love - H004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. With everything happening in the world right now, I think we could all use a little bit of love. When I was a child, Elmer was also called Elmer the Safety Elephant, so I hope that you and all of your loved ones are keeping safe right now too!

To make this card I first die cut some Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using Your Next Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214) and my Cuttlebug. Next I used my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the image and the sentiment. I coloured in the image using Copic markers. Then I created my own background using a mixture of Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Festive Berries, Spun Sugar and Picked Raspbery and Kraftin' Kimmie - Happy Hearts Stencil. I also did all around the edges with the Picked Raspberry. Lastly, added in the bottom border of hearts using Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard - 562676 - Hearts Dotted which I ran through my Cuttlebug twice with 2 different red cardstock. Then I inlayed the lighter colour into the darker hearts. I had also ran the cardstock through my Xyron Create a Sticker beforehand to make the die-cut work like a sticker and easy to inlay. I also used one of the small hearts for the "o" in "Love" and added some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen - Red Berry on top of it. Finally, I mounted the finished image onto a white base card 5.5" x 4.25".

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Elmer Elephant - Q043  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Large Filled With Love - H004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz - Festive Berries, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spun Sugar, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry
Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Various scraps of red cardstock
Die-Cuts: Your Next Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die Set (YNSD214), Sizzix Framelets by Stephanie Barnard - 562676 - Hearts Dotted
Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, Xyron Create a Sticker, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen - Red Berry

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Elephant: C5, C3, C2, C1, C0, R22, R20, R11, RV32
