Gabriel Loves Baseball

Hello High Hopes Fans

Here is a card I made, using stamps from the New Release - All About Boys!
Lisa

This is Gabriel Loves Baseball (S524), along with the sentiment from Sentiment Set #3 (U506). Gabriel is sooo cute!!

I coloured Gabriel with Copic Markers (C1,C2, C3, C5, 0, E01, E31, E47, E49, E71, B97, and B99).  The image and sentiment was stamped with a Versamark Ink Pad and Black Embossing Powder.  To add some shine, I used Glossy Accents on the baseball bat and ball!  The die used to cut and layer the image is from QuicKutz called Nesting Label (Cookie Cutter).  The sentiment was cut using Spellbinders Dies - Petite Ovals Small and Petite Ovals Large.  A couple of small white star brads were added to both sides of the image, to complete this card.  The background paper is from Carta Bella - Boy Oh Boy & Rough and Tumble 6x6 Paper Pads, along with some Navy and White Cardstock.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Gabriel Loves Tubing

Hello High Hopes Fans

I am excited to share another one of my cards, using one of the stamps and sentiment from the new release--All About Boys!
Jane

This is Gabriel Loves Tubing (T515), and sentiment from Sentiment Set #4 (U507).  This stamp brings back such great memories!!!  As soon as I laid eyes on this stamp--Gabriel Loves Tubing, it took me back about 10 years ago.  Sunday afternoons in the summertime, at a nearby lake, boating and tubing with our family.
In this photo, from left to right, my son - Mike (age 5), brother - Dave, and daughter - Lisa (age 4).  They are having a blast tubing on the lake!  My how time flies... now, Lisa is set to graduate from Grade 8 next week.

Getting back to my card details...this was a great image to colour!  I coloured Gabriel with Tombow Markers and water. Some Glossy Accents were used on the splashes from the waves.  Softly, I sponged some SU Tangerine Tango ink around the image.  The sentiment was embossed with black embossing powder, and punched out with an oval punch.  The sentiment was placed on the card with foam tape.  To complete this design, a few lime green sequins were added to the top corner of the coloured image.

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - N60, 491, 942, 850, 800, 925, 933, 533, 535, 055, 992, 977, N95, N60, 126, 133, N35, N55, and N75. Versamark Ink Pad, Black Embossing Powder, SU Tangerine Tango Ink Pad for Sponging Edges.
Paper - Doodlebug - Kraft In Colour 6x6 Paper Pad, and SU Tangerine Tango Cardstock.
Misc - Oval Punch, Doodlebug Sequins, Glossy AccentsWater Brush, Foam Tape, Glue Dots.

Lacey
The papers are a mix from my stash. I added a banner die cut from glitter card stock and Starlight Lace DooHickey Die on the top.

Both of my kids play soccer. This is a cute image that resembles my son a little, but my daughter is the goalie in the family. I made this card for my husband for father's day. I used the kids' team colors of Gold, White, and Black.

The image was embossed in black onto watercolor paper and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os

H2O's used:
Natural Linen, Dreamsicle, Olive Vine, Wintermist Gray, Nutmeg, and Bashful Blue

You can see the shimmer of the Twinkling H2Os and the light shining off the embossing on this picture...

You can find all of the new stamps here...
Happy stamping!

Bob's A Water Ski Dude

It's Thursday and my day to post some inspiration AND it's one day closer          to Fri-YAY!!!

I love when you can look at a stamp and it brings back happy memories - either from your childhood or your present.

My post today is sharing Bob's A Water Ski Dude and a sentiment from Sentiment Set #3 both from the new All About Boys release at High Hopes Stamps.

This stamp took me back to my childhood. I remember my younger brother trying to water ski. He was having a very hard time getting up...........I'm thinking it was because our cousin who was driving the boat was doing everything he could to not let that happen. He would take off fast instead of slowly so my brother could get up. We had alot of laughs that day and he eventually did get up!

Without further ado, my card featuring Bob's A Water Ski Dude.

                                                       Donna

After colouring Bob with alcohol markers (list below), I mounted him on cardstock and a variety of patterned papers from Carta Bella, Echo Park  and Basic Grey (more details on my blog). I added some ribbon from American Craft and some brads from my stash. What is new for me on this one is that I actually put the sentiment and the striped paper off the edge of the card - gasp!
This is new for me - I usually keep everything contained within my card base - I love to try new things sometimes.......

Gabriel Loves Soccer!

Howdy High Hopes Fans!
I am just loving this New Release All About Boys! I love them all! Today I am using the stamp called Gabriel Loves Soccer! This is a perfect image as soccer has become such a popular sport, especially among the young boys and girls! I am sure you know someone that would appreciate a card made with Gabriel!
I decided to use paper from the Doodlebug Back To School collection! I just love the vibrant primary colours! I layered all my design paper with matching cardstock as well as my image and sentiment. I used a sentiment from the new Sentiment #3 Set. I've had the MFT stackable star die forever and finally put it to good use! A little bit of twine with a knot and voila my card is done!
I left the inside blank until I need to use it for an occasion then I will stamp a sentiment.
