Merry Christmas

Welcome Everyone;

I'm a huge fan of both snowmen and penguins.  There are so many adorable stamps over at High Hopes Stamps.  Just love them all and they make great winter and Christmas cards.

For many of us, Christmas is a time to go all out and get spruced with decorations & trees.  That is exactly what this adorable penguin is doing in today's card.  The stamp that I have used from High Hopes Stamps is called Getting Spruced Up.

This is another CAS card.  I added some peel off border stickers to the outer sides of the design paper that is at an angle.  Some Nuvo glitter and enamel dots finish off the card.

Spruced Up

Happy Sunday!!

Last year I've started making my Christmas cards way to late, so this time it's an extra early start with my Christmas cards, haha!
Today I've made a card in my favorite colours: turquoise, kraft and white..
The stamp is called 'Getting Spruced Up' by High Hopes Stamps.
I try to use as many scraps as possible and sometimes it's a bit of a puzzle, but the dotted background is actually made of 2 strokes of paper ;)

Supplies used:
Paper: Bazzill kraft
Dessinpaper: lots of scraps (love to use those!)
Colouring: Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
Other: wooden snowflakes, oval die, Stickles white frost, Stabilo black, light blue glitters

Yesterday we've started a brand new challenge at High Hopes Stamps, so I hope I'll see you there with your creation? You have a chance of winning 2 free High Hopes Stamps of your choice!

Twinkle All The Way

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

Thursday means the weekend is almost here and it's my turn to post a card for you.

Today I am sharing "Getting Spruced Up" and the sentiment "Twinkle All The Way" from High Hopes Stamps. This image just makes me smile - the first time I saw it I thought it looked like our penguin friend was doing a photo bomb but I think he is just getting ready to decorate his tree.

I used this month's challenge sketch for my card layout - but shhh - don't tell the boss I forgot to add my tag.. our secret okay? I coloured my stamp with alcohol markers and cut it out using a stitched oval die. I used a smaller oval die to cut out my sentiment. I chose my paper from an older Echo Park collection called Holly Jolly Christmas - I liked the non traditional colours in this paper pad.
To add some sparkle I added some star brads from my stash and I have a new addiction - Nuvo Crystal Drops. I added it in tiny drops to my corners and to the stars on the sentiment and to the trim on his hat.
Nuvo drops let you fill in spaces or make your own enamel dots in whatever size you want - how cool is that!
