Candy Cane Wishes

I always have the best intentions - to start my Christmas cards early so I'm not rushing to get them done. I like to personalize my cards as much as possible by using images that match the receivers personality or hobby. I have a number of them that need to be sent out West so leaving things to the last minute makes it stressful.

However, since I'm being honest here.........I always have good intentions but I am also Always! rushing to get my cards done for Christmas.....maybe this year will be different?

This week my card features "Niki Sweet Tooth" and the "Candy Cane and Mistletoe" sentiment..made for one of the "sweets" lovers on my list of course.

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and cutting it out with a classic circle die. I used my Fiskars circle cutter to cut the cardstock circle to back it with. I chose my patterned paper from Echo Park and added a fun white and silver ribbon and bell to match the little bells on his shoes.
Some red berry sparkle pen was added to the candy cane for some bling - this girl loves a touch of bling especially on Christmas cards.
Icicle Stickles were added to the hat tassle and some silver glittery gumdrops finish off my card.

Donna, I love your card and the background papers and design! Wonderful colouring on the images too! I know just how you feel about starting early, but always seeming to be still behind every year making the Christmas cards. LOL!
