Picnic Time!

 Hello!

The June theme over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps  this month is Summer! Nothing says summer more than a picnic!  I haven't been on a picnic for a very long time, but I am going to remedy that this summer for sure! Looks like "Ant's Picnic"  is having some fun! That hotdog should keep them fed for a while LOL. 

I started my card by stamping the image onto some Copic friendly paper. I coloured the image in with my Copic Sketch markers to match the papers in the Doodlebug "Bar-b-cute" 6x6 collection. I cut the coloured image out using a Gina Marie Double Roped square die and popped it up with some foam tape for added dimension. The "Picnic Time" sentiment and some enamel dots finish off my card.

Ants Picnic

Howdy - Michelle O here ... Summer is coming... and that is a great time for a Picnic! Pack up you basket and plan an afternoon with a few ants :0) This image from High Hopes Stamps is "Ants Picnic" they have to enjoy a meal too right? 

And these two seem to be ready to enjoy this large hot dog! With mustard! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and found a scrap piece of paper that have that gingham picnic feel to it. I matted with dark red card stock and sewed down the layers with a zig zag stitch. The High Hopes Stamp sentiment "Picnic Time" is too funny and too perfect. Punched it out with a EK Success ticket punch.  I added a few card stock flower punch flowers and leaves. With center dots of Nuvo, yellow pearl paint.

Let's Ketch-Up

 How fun would this lunch invite be to receive in the mail!?! 
Especially when it is sent to someone you haven't seen for awhile! I have a few people in mind that I could send this to just for fun!

Truthfully I am not partial to ants but they always seem to show up at a picnic and help themselves don't they? These two are pretty cute though so I think I am okay with them joining my picnic ... this time....

 I coloured this fun pair with alcohol markers and fussy cut them. I added a "ketchup" line to the bottle by drawing a light pencil line where I wanted the ketchup level to be, coloured it and then used a black Memento pen to add the line. 
I decided on my patterned paper and instead of doing a sky and clouds I thought hearts would be a fun background especially since this invite would be going to a close friend I haven't seen in awhile. I cut some grass to "ground" them and added them to the back of the stamp. After deciding on a font, I created my sentiment and printed it directly on my background square.
