Country Garden

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I just LOVE coloring up spring, flowers and animals! My favorite time of the year! Well other than allergies. This week for High Hopes Stamps I colored up Country Garden - Such a sweet pretty image!

Not only the sweet spring but also the country feel makes me happy! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some papers from Paper Studio that have that soft country springy feel to them. I sewed down the layers and placed the image and sewed it down with a zig zag stitch. Zig Zag is fun and makes me happy too! LOL - A wonderful Happy Birthday Script from High Hopes Stamps is perfect for this image. I was looking for an embellishment and decided lets go with spring - country and what makes me smile and pulled out some adorable tiny pink buttons. Love buttons!

Welcome Everyone;

There are times, when creating a card that I have no idea what sentiment to use at the time.  When this happens, I add the card to my "General & Anything Goes" stash.  A Thinking of You, Happy Birthday, Thank You sentiment can be added at the last minute.

So for today's card I used Country Garden from High Hopes Stamps vast repertoire and left the sentiment of for now as I couldn't decide which one to use.

Country Garden

My final my favourite thing to share with you this month is flowers.

My Grandmother was phenomenal with putting together bright coloured flowers in our flower beds. My job was to follow her as she planted with the "magic" bucket to water the flowers after they were planted. The "magic" made the water blue.......such a fun child hood memory! As an adult I know what turned the water blue........but I still like to pretend I didn't know <wink>

I think Country Garden is the perfect stamp to use to share.......flowers.

I have another favourite thing to share and that is country colours. Dusty rose and what I call a grey blue are some of my favourite colours. After colouring my stamp, I cut it out using a stitched rectangle die. Some paper from Julia Nutting and MFT were perfect. A white picket fence, cotton lace bow and some gumdrops finish off my card.
I decided to keep the layout quite simple and will add the sentiment to the inside of the card when I have an occasion to use it.
