Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween everyone!!!  One of favorite things to color is Halloween....I just love the colors associated with it.  My children who are now 29 & 17 don't do Halloween anymore but lucky for me I have tons of pictures still to scrapbook.  This is our daughter Emilee way back in 2007 dressed as a little devil....wasn't she just adorable?  I posted page 1 of this 2 page layout a while back & this page has been sitting on my desk since then just waiting to be completed.  What better day to post it then on Halloween.

For this layout I colored up Silly Spider, Peeking Froggy & Froggy Cauldron.  The backside of one of my papers had some perfect wording for this layout so I cut those out.  My lime green sparkly enamel dots were also a great addition as the color just fit Halloween perfectly.

Halloween Treats...(No Tricks)

Hello Everyone!

I have a fun project for you today and I hope you enjoy it just as much as I do.

It's clear that a few of us on the High Hopes Design Team have been inspired this month by Peeking Froggy. I'm not the first one to share my inspiration with this stamp this month, but hopefully I offer a slightly different view.

When I first saw the image, I thought it would be perfect for a holiday bookmark. But then I thought that it would also make a great chocolate bar wrapper. What to do??? In the end, I did both!!!

I chose to make a match set, so I started by coloring up my image three times. The bookmark is separate from the card and will probably soon occupy the book of a certain 2nd grader in my life.

The chocolate bar wrapper is a basic wrap. Because of the size of the bar, I made the bottom a "box" type closure. The chocolate bar just slides in, which means I can use it again (you know, just in case that bar "disappears" somewhere). I love this great candy corn paper with that image!

The card is hiding behind the bookmark and chocolate, so here is a close up of it. The purple colors in this are perfect! I don't often do Halloween cards, but Mr. Froggy here may change my mind! He's so much fun. The sentiment used on the front of my card is Special Treat.

I hope you enjoyed this fun project today! If you've been to the blog recently, you'll notice that we've got a New Release coming! Check out all the great new holiday images on September 26th.

Looking for more inspiration? You'll find us daily on the High Hopes blog, but you can also find us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest.

Have a perfectly lovely Sunday and we'll see you again next week!!

Peeking Froggy!

Hello!
The High Hopes Design Team is inspiring you with Halloween themed cards for the month of September! I decided to use "Peeking Froggy" today to follow along with the theme!
I had a bit of fun with this card as I made a detachable bookmark. I thought it would be fun to have a Halloween bookmark to use in October while reading to mark your spot. I'm using papers from the Doodlebug Pumpkin Party 6x6 collection. I added some Crystal Stickles on the stars and moon. The High Hopes "Trick or Treat Script" sentiment was perfect for my card.
Here you can see when you take the bookmark off, there is an image of "Peeking Froggy" behind so that the card still looks complete.
I stamped the "bookmark" images close to each other so they matched when folded. This way it doesn't matter which way you use the bookmark you still get to see the adorable image.
I also added some paper on the inside of the bookmark. I was going to put the magnets under the paper so they weren't visible but I got carried away with gluing paper and forgot LOL.
Copics Used:
BV08, BV29, FV2
YG21, YG23, YG25, YG17
YR16, YR18
Y15, FY1
T4, T7
B0000, B000, B01

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to visit the High Hopes Blog for some Halloween inspiration all month long!
Happy Stamping!
