Let's Ride!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a masculine card using Skateboarder Gabriel - TT521 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Let's Ride - FR006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. It's always fun to see skateboarders at our local park doing their awesome tricks and showing off their amazing skills. Unfortunately, I have never had the co-ordination to stay on one. LOL! How about you?

To make my card this week, I used The Paper Studio - Primary Simply Solids (4.25" x 5.5") paper for the base. I cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card to the same size as the base and stamped the image and sentiment using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and created my own background. I wanted it to look like Gabriel was on his way down the ramp. Once the image was coloured, I took a little bit off of each side, so that when I glued it to the base, the base card would create a slim frame around the image.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Skateboarder Gabriel - TT521 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Let's Ride - FR006 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black

World's Best!

Hi!
I'm so excited that Lora opened the Retirement Vault and let the "Men & Boys" out to play again! This image is called "Lawnmower Bob". Bob looks so happy cutting the grass! This image makes a great Father's Day card.
I started by stamping my image and then colouring Bob in with my Copic Markers. Next using my Brother Cut N Scan I "fussy" cut him out. I decided to make a scene for Bob & his lawnmower. I took my card base and using a cloud stencil created the sky. Next I used 2 different dies and cut out some green grass. The first 2 glass layers (bottom up) are popped up using foam squares as is Bob. I tucked my coloured image amongst the grass layers. The HH sentiment called "World's Best Father" finishes off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E01. E11, E13, R20, R22
Outfit: R35, R37, R46, R59/ B24, B28, B39/ E43, E44, E47, E49
Lawnmower: G05, G08, G28/ C6,C7, C9/ R41, E42, E43
Grass: YG17, YG21, YG23, YG25

Old Friend

Howdy - MichelleO here and today for High Hopes Stamps I went a little bright! I pulled out "Old Friend" I just love images that have great sentiments made in the image.

Sometimes you just need a bright pick me up card for a friend, right? I found a piece of My Minds Eye Confetti paper and colored my flower in bright colors to go along with the plaid paper. Ok I went a little brighter but it was feeling fun. I sewed the layers down with a zig zag stitch, and then added a bunch of bright orange enamel dots for some added fun.

Copic colors used -

I just love cheering myself up coloring a happy image from High Hopes Stamps then sending it out to cheer up a friend!

Hope you enjoyed!

Have A Blessed Easter!

Today, I'm sharing an Easter card using Three Pane Easter - M043 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Blessed Easter Greetings - G151 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Happy Easter to family, friends and everyone!

To make my card this week, I started with Craft Smart Card Paper pre-made to 5.5" x 4.25". I stamped the images and sentiment using MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Using my Brother Scan and Cut, I cut out each of the images. My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Die Layers and my Cuttlebug were used to die cut the sentiment and Craft Sparkling Stickers - Purple (02-3068629) paper.

The main images were coloured in with Copic Markers. The background papers were all from Your Next Stamp - Happy Spring (6"x6") paper pad. I cut each section at 4" x 1.5" and then inked around all of the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet. The sentiment was inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber.

To assemble the card, using glue, I attached the 3 background papers onto the base card. Crafts ribbon was attached using double-sided tape. The images, sentiment and sentiment background were attached to the background papers using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. Lastly, to finish off the card, I cut 3 Easter eggs out of some watercolour paper that I had used various Cosmic Shimmer colours on previously. I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet and glued them directly to the background paper.

Born To Golf

Spring is in the air the snow is pretty much gone and every golfer I know is itching to get out on the greens.

It is also the perfect time for High Hopes Rubber Stamps to open the Retirement Vault and let the "Men and Boys" out of retirement. Bob is glad to be out on the greens again and is practicing so he is ready for the start of golf season. He is perfect for a birthday card for one of the golfers in my life.

I stamped Bob, coloured him with Copic markers and hand fussy cut him using my cuticle scissors. A black marker was run around the edge of the stamp to get any white I had missed. Next I found some paper from Lawn Fawn and Craft Consortium and cut the pieces to fit my base and scene.
I die cut and added a golf flag, clouds and some grass tufts to help create my outdoor scene.
After finding some matching ink I stamped the sentiment and cut it to size.
Enamel dots finish off my card.
