Winter Wonderland!

Happy Tuesday!

I'm carrying on the "Winter Theme" for December over on the High Hopes Blog with this cutie called "Package Packin' Penguin". He's so cute and easy to colour, so he makes a fast card when you need one!

After stamping my image, I coloured this cutie in with my Copic Markers. I have a Silhouette Cameo and hardly ever use it.... I know, what a shame, LOL! So I challenged myself to use one of my many files. This card base is called "Christmas Tree Shadow Box (svg.) Instead of making it into the actual card base, I just used the front cutouts and popped each layer up with foam squares to get that shadow box look. Next using some of my Christmas scraps, added the designer papers onto a 5"x6.5" pre-made card base. I stamped the "Winter Wonderland" HH sentiment directly onto the front and popped the Penguin up as well.

Package Packin' Penguin*

Welcome,

I'm glad to be back sharing two projects I did for Highhopesstamps.com 

I certainly enjoy creating this Christmas card and matching gift back. This adorable image was just the right size for my two projects.

The image I'm using is called "Package Packin' Penguin" and

 the sentiment is "Sleetin' & Freezin"  I stamped both images and colored with alcohol markers. The pattern paper is trim the tree I also used glitter and gold cardstock. To cut my circles I pulled all my Spellbinder circles.

 Here is my second project;

I have been waiting to crated a little treat holder or gift bag. I LOVE making my own bags, looking through my craft supplies I came across a few small pre-made bags and thought is just perfect size for my Christmas card to go inside!

Little penguin

Happy Sunday!

Another Sunday here with summer temperatures and we're having a Christmas in July theme..

No suprise my MOJO was gone.. 

While I was working on a shaker card, it just didn't seem right the way it turned out.. so I'll try to get it to work for next week (fingers crossed).. 

So for this week I ran out of time and had to make a simple card. Simple but fun! I really like it! 

I chose this cute Package Packin' Penguin (cute and quick to colour ;) ) for my card along with the Penguin Greeting sentiment..

The dessinpaper is from My Minds Eye (2012 Winterwonderland collection), I found out I have a lot of that collection, hahaha... perhaps turquoise is my favorite colour?? 

And I added some litlle wooden stars too (my favorite too!)

Package Packin' Penguin!

Howdy High Hopes Fans!

I know, I know....... It's July not December LOL. But over on the High Hopes Blog, we are celebrating Christmas in July! One of my favourite Christmas images are those with Penguins. My Grandma loved Penguins and every time I see one I think of her and it brings a warm smile to my face!

I used the HH "Package Packin' Penguin" and made a card with a matching gift tag.

I chose papers from the Bazill Basics Paper "Countdown To Christmas" 6x6 paper pad. I love 6x6 pads as the design is smaller and more suited to card making! The sentiment in the corner is called "Have An Ice Day" and I popped it up with some foam squares. A bit of sheer black ribbon and Crystal Stickles on the penguin's hat and bow finished off my card.

The coordinating tag is made from a MFT Stitched Tag die-namics and I layered behind it with matching cardstock. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Dot Warm Winter Wishes".

To add an icey feel to the sentiment I also added Crystal Stickles to it.

You get an idea of the image and sentiment popped up with foam squares from a side view.

On the inside is the HH sentiment called "Glow of Christmas".
