Babies Are Sweet Beginnings!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a Baby Card featuring Sweet Beginnings - S169 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). I love this adorable stamp and I also have a few nieces that are pregnant right now. We are all looking forward to seeing pictures of the new little one's when they are born. Once Covid19 is over, hopefully, we will be able to travel again and see them in person.

To create the card this week, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. I fussy cut around the image and then coloured it in with Copic Markers.

I created a card base made from Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. paper, folded to 5.5" x 4.25". For the background paper, I cut a piece the same size as the base from Echo Park - Hello Baby - It's a Girl. I attached this directly to the base with double-sided tape and then inked around the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spun Sugar. I popped up the coloured image using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. Lastly, I added some little embellishments from Forever In Time - Painted Wood Buttons - Patchwork Elephants to finish off the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Sweet Beginnings - S169 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spun Sugar

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb., Echo Park - Hello Baby - It's a Girl (6"x6")

Embellishments: Forever In Time - Painted Wood Buttons - Patchwork Elephants - SE083C

Tools and Miscellaneous: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Sakura Glaze - Black, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Banner: R85, RV13, RV11, RV10

Bear: E29, E25, E23, E21, R30, R02, Y35, Y18, Y13, Sakura Glaze - Black - Eyes and Mouth

Bunny: BV23, BV20, B60, R22, R20, BG49, BG23, BG15, Sakura Glaze - Black - Eyes

Kitten: N8, N5, N3, N1, V17, V15, V04, V01, Sakura Glaze - Black - Eyes and Nose

Hope you like it and have a fantastic week!

Stork With Baby Dragon

Happy Sunday HHS friends,
I'm back with another card inspiration!

For today I have created a baby boy card. The stamps I am using are "Stork With Baby Dragon" and "Special Delivery" from highhopesstamps.com

I colored the image with Premier  Prisma color pencils. I have so much fun coloring this cutie, love it! The paper I used is a 6X6 paper pad called "Toy Box" from Carta Bella. I die cut my main imaige with the two larger oval stitches. Pop some 3D foam tape and give that dimension I like.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment layer it on black cardstock and used more foam tape. Since is a boy card I added a few glitter stars and diamond stickles. Hope you have enjoy my card today. Don't forget to check Facebook and Instagram for more amazing inspirations.

Have a BLESS day!

Girl Monkey

Happy Sunday!!

I've re-discovered Pinterest and can spend hours on there looking for card ideas, chrochet ideas or just scrolling around and having fun! Did you know High Hopes has a Pinterest account too?? Just have a look, you can find all the DT cards over there!

With all those ideas on Pinterest, I fell in love with the messy style some people use.. it's is a great way to use up scraps (but to be honest, I still use my new dessinpapers, hahaha). It also invites me to use more bling and pearls on my cards (I have tons of those, but hardly use them)...

For today's card I used "Girl Binky Monkey".. I am going to need some baby cards at the end of this year, so I am making a bunch for my stash ;)

Supplies used:
Paper: Bazzill white and dotted white
Dessinpapers: Eline's baby, kraft from a cookie box (whahahaha)
Colouring: Faber Castell Polychromos pencils
Other: pink pearl maker, rhinestones, heart shaped button, pink glitter cardboard flourish

Thanks for stopping by!

Okay, I just want to share one more thing with you....

It's a ANYTHING GOES challenge this month, so really easy right?? Come on over and join us in the fun of card making and maybe you'll even win a prize!! Wouldn't that be great?!?!?!

I'm off making more cards (I love Sunday craft time)!

Welcome Little One

                             Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

My post today features and older High Hopes stamp called "Just Bein Nosy" and the sentiment "Welcome Little One". How cute are these two nose to nose meeting each other.

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and cutting it out with a stitched rectangle die. I cut a die from Spellbinders and cut it apart to create the "frame" around my stamp. The edge of the stamp and patterned papers were given a bit of edging with distress ink. I added my sentiment and a few matte gumdrops to finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Just Bein Nosy (M030)
Sentiment: Welcome Little One (F239)
Patterned Paper: Colorblok and stash, Resplendent Rectangles - Spellbinders, Stitched Rectangles Die - YNS, Spring Grass Matte gumdrops - YNS

Spectrum Noir Markers: 1G1 1G2 FS5 FS2 TN2 PP1 PP3 PP5 TN3 TN 6 TN7 CG1 DG2 DG3

Welcome Little One

Tuesday is my day to post on the High Hopes Blog and today I decided to use some older stamps to create some baby cards for my stash.

This image is so quick and easy to color.
It's called Baby Sittin'.

I had some scrap polka-dot paper in my stash.  Not sure who made it but nearly every paper manufacturer has polka dot paper!

The sentiment is Welcome Little One Script.

I used Spellbinders Classic Circle and Classic Scallop circle dies.
The images were all colored with my Tombow USA colored pencils.

The bottle image is Baby Bottle.  I cut it out and adhered it to the card with a pop dot.

These were pretty quick and simple cards but I know that whoever receives them will love them!

I hope you enjoyed the inspiration.

You can find these and lots more adorable images at High Hopes.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stork with Baby Dragon

Hello High Hopes Fans

It's an AWESOME Saturday here, and time to share another one of my High Hopes Stamp cards for this week!!!
Lisa

This is Stork with Baby Dragon (S223) and Welcome Little One Script (F239) sentiment.  Such an adorable stamp - I think it makes for a great baby card!

I started by stamping the image and sentiment with a Versamark Ink Pad and sprinkling some Black Embossing Powder on and heating it.  The Tombow Markers I used to colour the image were:  925, N35, N75, 850, N95, 990, 985, 192, 723, and 800.  Once the image was all coloured and dry, I proceeded to die cut the oval shape using a Spellbinders Die called Petite Ovals.  The larger Petite Ovals die was used with Grey Cardstock to cut a slightly larger oval for layering the image. Foam tape was applied to pop out the layered image and sentiment for some added dimension on this card.  The designer paper is from Echo Park-Bundle of Joy 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU Grey, Pink and White cardstock.  The Heart Banner die is from La-La Land.  It was used with Grey and Pink Cardstock. To complete this card, a Viva Décor - Black Pearl Pen was also used to add a couple of bunches of dots around the oval cut image.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
