Picket Fence!

Hi!

I think everyone dreams of having a house with a white picket fence when they are young, I know I did. I never had a white picket fence but I still had the house filled with love. I mean who wants to have to paint that fence anyway LOL (jk). This image is called "Garden Gate Background" and the sentiment matches perfectly called "Picket Fence Saying", both from High Hopes Stamps.

To start my design today, I stamped my image onto Copic Friendly paper using my MISTI. Next I coloured the image using my Copic Sketch Markers. I don't know what possessed me, but I fussy cut out most parts of the image. Whew, that took a bit of time. Using Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass and a MFT cloud stencil, I created a sky background on a separate piece of paper and then glued it to the Designer Paper. I put foam tape on the back of the Garden Gate Background and popped it  up on the clouds. Some Crystal Stickles on the flowers and parts of the birdhouses to finish off my card.

Garden Gate Background

Howdy - MichelleO here today ... are you ready for Spring? Now that March is here I am looking forward to green grass, flowers and sweet little birdies! This image from High Hopes Stamps has it all!

Garden Gate Background

Now if you love coloring... this is one for you! I had so much fun pulling out colors and bringing this stamp to life. I used my copics (colors below) and added some pencils for shading. You can almost hear the birds singing!

I found a piece of My Minds Eye paper in my scraps that have a bright fun color with spots of glitter. I matted the image with a die cut mat and then added "hello" die cut to the bottom. A simple card but with an image this great it is 100% of the focus for sure.

Spring Follows!

Welcome HH Fans;

It seems that winter doesn't want to go away for now.... but it will and spring will follow.  I can't wait for Spring to really arrive.  It is one of my favourite seasons as it signifies new beginnings -- grass starts to grow, leaves sprout on the trees, flowers start to bloom, and mother nature with baby bunnies,birds and other wildlife.  It is an uplifting time of the year for me.

For today's card, I have used the High Hopes Stamps called Garden Gate Background, Landing Birdie and Spring Follows.  The Garden Gate Background  and Landing Birdie were coloured with Copic Markers. I fuzzy cut the Landing Birdie (I definitely need to get a Brother Scan & Cut).  My original intention was to put the Birdie on a wobble, but even the mini wobble was too big.  I added a layer of glue dots to build it up a bit, so it gives the appearance that he is not flat against the gate.
