Am I the only one who gets a spring in their step with the first true days of spring? The days when the sun is bright, and warm and the sky is blue. Feels odd to say it but the first couple of days like that make me feel excited for nice weather and the flowers that will come up in my gardens. When I saw "Pogoin' Dragon" in the High Hopes Stamps line up he seemed to feel the same way so I created a fairly simple scene with him as the focus as he bounces around simply .... enjoying spring!

Spring Fever
Fall is my favourite time of year .....but there is something to be said for spring. After a long, dreary, dark winter it feels so good when the days start to get longer and the mountains of snow start to melt. There is nothing better then those first few days when the temperatures are above freezing, the sky is blue and sun is shining and feels soooo warm! Something about these days makes my heart happy and my insides giddy....I know, weird right?
I have a girlfriend who loves to garden and the "Egg Drop" stamp from the "Spring Fever" re-release at High Hopes reminds me of her.....okay she is like this with plants not eggs but the happy dance she does is hard not to join in with. I hope you will join us in our spring happy dance!

Did someone say "Spring"?
Welcome Everyone;
We have certainly been having some spring like weather and being finally able to get some fresh air and just enjoy the nice weather. That suits these adorable playful goats just fine, as they are kicking up their heels as someone said "Spring"
To create today's card, I used Playful Goats and Say Spring, both from High Hopes Stamps. The majority of my cards are CAS and so is this one.
After colouring the goats with Copic Markers, I cut it out and mounted it on the same cardstock as the base of the card. Some twine, enamel dots and Nuvo Crystal Drops finished off my card.
Supplies used:
- Stamps: Playful Goats (S121), Say Spring (E256) -- both from High Hopes Stamps
- Copic Markers:
- Goat on the left: W00 - Warm Gray No. 00, W0 - Warm Gray No. 0, W1 - Warm Gray No. 1, W3 - Warm Gray No. 3
- Goat on the right: C00 - Cool Gray No. 00, C0 - Cool Gray No. 0, C1 - Cool Gray No. 1
- Both Goats: R20 - Pinkish White, T5 - Toner Gray No. 5
- Grass: G05 - Emerald Green, G07 - Nile Green, G09 - Veronese Green
- Flowers: R12 - Light Tea Rose, R11 - Pale Cherry Pink
- Butterfly: E30 - Bisque, YR02 - Light Orange, R14 - Light Rouge
- Miscellaneous: Flowers, twine, enamel dots
- Nuvo Crystal Drops: Morning Dew for the flowers and Calming Aqua for the bottom of the card

Did Someone Say Spring?
"Hangin' Around" from High Hopes makes me think spring! I mean who wouldn't love to just be hangin out on some reeds absorbing some rays <smile>
I combined some distress inks for the sky and Stampin' up inks for the sun. I cut a circle die out and temporarily stuck it where I wanted it to be and inked in blue around it. After the sky was done I removed the die cut and added the ink to the sun.
To keep the inks from blending together and making a green "ring" around the sun I put the negative piece of cardstock I used to cut the circle on top of the circle and added the ink - anything that went over the edge of the circle ended up on the paper instead of the sky! I added some stitched clouds to the sky and some cattail reeds behind him to create some depth in the card.
Some bright, sunny paper from Lawn Fawn was perfect for my spring feel card. I stamped and added the sentiment and included a fishtail banner in cardstock to help it stand out a bit. Matching ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Did someone say Spring?!
I always find that February is such a blah kinda month. So to brighten up my mood I created this bright card using these adorable images - Hoppy Flower Froggy & Pretty Butterfly which I paired with the Say Spring sentiment.
I was gifted some awesome dies by Gina Marie Designs.....thank you my friend Donna! I used the doubled stitched square ones for the image & the doubled stitched rectangle for the sentiment. Gosh I may have found my new favorite dies!
I wasn't feeling patterned paper for this card so I pulled out the Distress Inks and created a little background. I just tore up a piece of cardstock for the bottom & partially cut a scalloped edge with one of my Spellbinder dies. I used those for making the background & for the sentiment as well. I finished this card off with some Enamel Dots & Satin ribbon.

Did Someone Say Spring?
I am having some fun with my card this week - I mean seriously a dancing cow?! She just makes me giggle and definitely makes me happy! This cow would be perfect to add a birthday cake or party hat to for a fun Birthday card too! We all express our joy in different ways and this party cow sure has the moooves!
Next I added some clouds to a piece of white card stock with a cloud die and some baby blue ink and cut it out using a slash stitched die. The fence with cut with my Cricut using the Old West cartridge and the grass tufts were cut with a die. A piece of gingham ribbon and some enamel dots finish off my card.
