Gnome - Merry Christmas!

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm featuring a Christmas card I made using the image Flying Gnome - TLF008 and sentiment Sm Christmas Script - F051 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps).  I just love colouring these adorable little gnomes. Also, it's always good to make Christmas cards a little at a time throughout the year so that you are not rushing to get them all done in December. LOL! Have you started making your Christmas cards yet this year?

To create the card this week, I first used the die cut from Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson - Festive Collection - Pointsettia Mini Background - CED3049 to cut some Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my Cuttlebug. I stamped the main image and then coloured it with Copic Markers. I started off doing the sky first as I didn't want any of the Reds smearing into it. (This happens sometimes if you are not careful.) Once the image was all coloured in, I used Sakura Glaze - Black and Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen to increase the intensity of the eye on the bird. I outlined the entire image with Pigma Micron 03 black marker to make it stand out more against the sky. Lastly, I used a mixture of Gelly Roll Sakura #8 Pen and Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen to create the snow and stars in the sky.

For the base of the card, I began with a standard white card base of 4.25" x 5.5". I cut another piece of white cardstock the same size and applied the red shimmer topping on it using Crafts - Sparkling Stickers - 02-3068629. I used the same die cut listed above to cut out the intricate design using my Cuttlebug and the gold paper from Hot Buy Craft Smart - Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper. I had put the gold paper through my Xyron Creative Station before I die cut it. This made it easier to just peel and stick onto the base.

For the sentiment, I die cut some spare red cardstock using Craftin Desert Diva's - Flag Banner Dies. Using my MISTI and VersaMark ink, I stamped the sentiment onto the die cut and embossed it using Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing powder. This was heated with my Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. The image and the sentiment were both popped up with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape to complete the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Flying Gnome - TLF008 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Sm Christmas Script - F051 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Happy Birthday!

Hello!
I am obsessed with Gnomes and this cutie is flying by with a Birthday Wish! Meet the adorable "Balloon Gnome" from High Hopes Stamps! This cutie is one of four new Gnomes that are in the New Summer 2020 Release.
I love this cloud paper from the Honey Bee "Spring Lullaby" 6x6 collection. It made my background quick and easy. I didn't have to ink blend clouds...yippeee! The idea for the design was to try to make it look like "Balloon Gnome" was floating up from the bottom and off the page. Not sure if I nailed it or not, but he's adorable either way! The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Dot Simple Happy Birthday". I cut it in 2 for a different take on the sentiment. A bit of glitter pen to the balloons added a fun element.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E95
Beard: C1, C3, C5
Outfit: B41, B45, B39

Angel Bear Pumpkin Costume

Howdy - MichelleO here today - How cute is a sweet bear in an angel pumpkin costume? This is High Hopes Stamps "Angel Bear Pumpkin Costume" image  -

For my card I colored the bear with pencils and Copic markers. (colors below) Then I went through my mast stash of scraps and found two pieces that felt perfect with this bear. A check pattern paper from Graphic 45 and then a orange spotted paper from SEI. All on dark brown card stock with orange card stock as a mat. All sewn down. Then I added two leaf punches from Martha Stewart Extra Large punches. And because all angels even bears need some sparkle, I added Nuvo glitter to the wings.

For the sentiment I pulled out High Hopes Stamps - "Happy Halloween!"

Spider Silliness

I am an animal lover through and through but I have some animals and critters that aren't necessarily at the top of my favourite list.

Spiders are one of the critters that fit in this category but if they were all as cute as this Silly Spider from High Hopes Rubber Stamps I would be convinced to change my mind. He just makes me giggle!

This is a small stamp (1.5" x 1.5") and I wanted to use it for a different design then I normally do. With the help of my trusty Misti, I did a repetitive stamped pattern, coloured all of them with alcohol markers and added some clear sparkle pen to the moon and stars and some freckles to their cheeks with a white gel pen.
I hand fussy cut one leaving a thin white edge (that I added the purple chalk pencil too as well) and popped him up with foam pop dots.

After my spiders were coloured the white background was just to stark for my liking so I wracked my brain to try and find a way to tone it down. I pulled out my chalk pencils and started playing on a scrap piece of paper.
I found that the subtle colour I wanted was easy to add by colouring heavily on the scrap paper and smudging it with a piece of paper towel. The paper towel picked up the colour and I was able to use it to add some colour to my background.
I stamped my sentiment with Versa Mark ink on black card stock, added some white embossing powder and heated it with my heat gun to finish off my CAS card.

Birthday Belle!

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a CAS card featuring Birthday Belle - T076 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) with the sweet sentiment Bummer - H263 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). Our birthday girl this week isn't too keen on having another birthday to remind her how old she is, but she is still having fun blowing out all of the candles. LOL! I decided to colour her outfit and cake pink, because I remember how much my grandmother loved that colour.

To create the card this week, I stamped the main image and then coloured it in with Copic Markers. My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out die and my Cutttlebug were used to cut out the main coloured image and the hot pink background paper.

For the base card I cut some yellow cardstock 10" long by 5" high. It was then scored and folded in half to be 5" x 5". All of the edges for the base card and die-cuts were then inked around using the various Tim Holtz Distress inks listed below. I mounted the hot pink cardstock directly to the base using double-sided tape. Then the main image was popped up with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. Finally, to finish it off, I used some crafty dots by Crafts.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Birthday Belle - T076 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Bummer - H263 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Evergreen Bough

Brewin' Up Some Treats!

Happy Tuesday!
Oh  my gosh..... how cute is this image!!! Meet "Witchy Poo Stirrin Brew" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Isn't she adorable sitting there stirring her brew!
I decided to make a shaped card today using a pumpkin svg file and my Silhouette Cameo electric die cutting machine! I inked all the edges of the card base pieces with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. To add a bit more dimension, I cut the inner 2 pumpkin pieces, stem and leaf a second time and glued them together. This way when I glued them to the base they stood up a bit higher. I love the sentiment from High Hopes called "Brewin' Treats", it goes perfectly with Witchy Poo!  A bit of twine, bow and MFT Tiny Bats finish off my card.

My Best For Him

Howdy MichelleO here today and for High Hopes Stamps this week I am pulling out a favorite Christmas image - "My Best For Him"

Adorable image right? Love those little baby Jesus toes in the manger. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and went a bit nuts with coloring the background with a few different shades and even coloring the sentiment background so it matches better. Oh that sentiment is from High Hopes Stamps "I played my best for Him" All the layers are sewn onto pattern papers from My Minds Eye Christmas collection. For a base I used a Kraft card stock. Don't you just love that music pattern with this image and sentiment? I've been singing this all afternoon. :0)

Copic colors used -

Hummingbird Smiles

I am in love with this hummingbird stamp from High Hopes! I love colouring flowers and birds so this stamp had to be added to my collection! I also got in touch with my CAS (clean and simple) side - this type of card is always a challenge for me and I have to literally sit on my hands to not keep adding things.

I will colour this one up again as it is a versatile stamp that can be used for many occasions - I'm thinking birthday card at the moment <wink>.

I stamped this gorgeous stamp with Memento Tuxedo black ink, coloured it with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white edge. Next I grabbed some baby blue ink, a cloud die and a dabber and created my cloud background. I cut a piece of white card stock to size and used a circle die to cut out a "window".
After temporarily placing things on the base I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment directly on to the cloud background and then glued down my coloured image.

Card Recipe

Stamp: Hummingbird - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

I have a Fall slimline card to share today!

I started with a slimline card base that measures 4'' wide by 8" tall. I stamped "Country Harvest"  and coloured with alcohol markers, then I fussy cut it. I add glossy accent to a few of the apples. I also used a white gel pen to add details. After my images were dry I pop "Country Harvest" with foam tape. Used dies from my stash to created my background. The paper is Spiced Pumpkin from Craft Smart. To finish the front of my card I added some white glitter stickers and generously adhesive gold sequins.

Here is the inside!
For the inside I stamped this adorable sentiment "Bold Have A Blessed Season" over white cardstock and die cut it with a stackable circle die. Used the same pattern paper from the front. To finish my slimline card I adhesive more sequins. This was a fun card to created, hope you have enjoy it.

Ghost Bear

We aren't sure how Halloween will look where I live given the pandemic. There are rumors that it will be cancelled but that hasn't stopped Angel Bear Ghost from High Hopes Rubber Stamps from trying on his costume and practicing his scary "Boo!". I think he is too cute to be scary but don't tell him that!

After stamping and colouring the stamp with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut it and added some clear sparkle pen to the wings. He is popped up with 3D foam pop dots too just for fun.
I didn't have a patterned paper that inspired me so...what is a gal to do?!? Pull out your ink and create your own! I grabbed some water colour paper and Stampin' Up mini inks and did some ink blending.
Next I found some dies that would help create my spooky not so spooky scene and cut a fence, bats and a tree. The tree is trimmed to fit the edge of the card.
I added my sentiment to some matching background paper and card stock and some enamel dots finish off my card.

Witchy Poo's Happy Hallowe'en!!!

It’s Wednesday, and Sitting Witchy Poo from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) is back again to celebrate a Happy Hallowe'en and wondering what to do with all her candy.  My husband and I just LOVE Hallowe'en! We try to decorate our yard every year for the little ghosts and goblins who come to visit and we give out lots and lots of candy. Our front lawn gets turned into a grave yard for a day with spooky black cats, crows, skeletons, and more. On the porch we put out all of the animated little toys and of course the talking skeletons playing poker at the Bistro table. LOL! The children just love it and so do the parents! LOL!

To create the card this week, I stamped the main image and then coloured it with Copic Markers listed below. I fussy cut around Witchy Poo leaving just a little bit of white around the top of her body, but going directly to the line for the bottom of her. Flag Banner Dies from Craftin' Desert Diva's (restired) were used for the die cut and then the sentiment was stamped onto it. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Carved Pumpkin was applied around the edges to create a frame around the orange cardstock.

To create the background, Pebbles - Boo! paper was used. I wanted to add something a little extra so I pulled out my Kraftin' Kimmie - Bats and Moons Stencil and applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste - Amethyst Purple! I just love the way it turned out. The bottom piece of cardstock was cut at 1" x 5.5". Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot was used to go around all of the edges of the top and bottom piece.

Once everything was dry my card was ready to be assembled. I began with a standard white card base of 4.25" x 5.5". I mounted the coloured circles and bats cut at the same size directly on top of the base with 2-sided tape. I did the same with the candy on the very bottom. The image and the sentiment were both popped up with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. Finally, to cover some of my paste boo-boos, I added in some candy corn from Dress My Craft - Dessert Mix.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Sitting Witchy Poo - S151 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Happy Halloween - H232 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Carved Pumpkin, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot

Hay Ride

Howdy - MichelleO here today, we had a little teaser of cooler weather here in Texas last week. I got all inspired to pull out the Fall colors and images!! This High Hopes Stamps image "Hay Ride" is just too much fun to color!

I just adore these country farm images from High Hopes Stamps... Can't you just see how much fun that chicken is having on this hay ride? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and shaded with a few pencils. For my papers I found some My Minds Eye printed kraft papers that just were too yummy with a Fall card. The layers are sewn down with both straight and zig zag stitches. I love how the image pops on the soft printed papers. For the sentiment I found High Hopes Stamps "Welcome Fall". LOVE this "sign" sentiment. If I thought it would work I would hang out a sign to welcome the cooler weather to stay!

Copic colors used -

You just must pop over to High Hopes Stamps and see all the fun! I first fell in love with the country farm images at High Hopes Stamps, but honestly there is something for everyone, every need!
