With Love

Fall is just around the corner and the High Hopes design team will be celebrating all things fall this month. Fall is my favourite time of year. I love the cooler temperatures, the cozy sweaters and the colours. I'm not a huge apple lover but there is something about the first apple pie or apple crunch made with the fresh apples of the season that warms my insides. It is this first fresh apple pie of fall, usually enjoyed at Thanksgiving that inspired this weeks card featuring "Apple Pie Anyone" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

After stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured this adorable stamp with Copic markers and cut it out using a circle die. I cut the bottom off the circle and cut a card stock piece to put behind it. I wanted a soft, home, Grandma's kitchen feel to my card so patterned paper from Honey Bee and Echo Park were perfect for the card. I cut the lace paper into two strips and put the stamped image on top, stamped the sentiment and added it across the corner. A bow, enamel dots and Doodlebug Sprinkles finish off my card.

Chillin' Tommy Thanksgiving

Am I the only one who looks like Chillin' Tommy Turkey after a Thanksgiving dinner?!? Okay I WANT to be like him but I host my family for Thanksgiving and I think it may be frowned upon if the hostess would curl up and have a nap...no? I am blessed to do the dinner and I love having my family over. There is always lots of good food and some friendly banter with my brother and nephew just to keep things spicy.

"Chillin' Tommy Turkey" from the Happy Halloween/Fall release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps is perfect for my Thanksgiving cards for family and friends. He actually reminds me of my brother who is the one who does! take a nap after dinner.....

I stamped Tommy on some Hammermill card stock and coloured him with Copic markers. Next I hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. I cut a circle out using a pleated lace die and a circle die to put him on. Patterned paper from the Hello Fall pad by Carta Bella was the perfect backdrop for my design. A fish tail banner was used to cut out the banner in patterened paper and I traced the outside edge of the die and cut it for the card stock behind it.

After gluing down the paper layers I added Tommy using foam pop dots. I added some falling leaves around him and rolled them with a pen to add a bit of curl and movement to my design. Some ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Stuffed with Love

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Angel Bear Scarecrow - T110 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Scarecrows Stuffed - H087 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. The turkey is hiding behind the angel bear for protection from becoming captured. He doesn't want to become someone's Thanksgiving Dinner. The crows are shrugging their shoulders, because they are just not sure what's going to happen! Let's hope this little angel bear can protect him. LOL!

To make my card this week, I started out with a simple white card base, sized at 5.5" x 5.5". The base background was also cut at 5.5" x 5.5" using PhotoPlay - Mad 4 Plaid Fall paper. The added touches at the top and bottom are also from the same paper pad.

The main image was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and then die cut with My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies Layers. It was coloured in with Copic Markers and Sakura Glaze - Black pen was used for the eyes and nose. The layer behind the image was die cut from green cardstock using My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies. The sentiment square was die cut using orange cardstock and My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out. The image and sentiment were popped up on top of the remaining layers with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape and some Kraftin' Kimmie Dots were added to finish the card off.

Sweet And Simple Autumn Card!

Hello Friends,
Here is my easy handmade Fall card!

This stamps it's beautiful and so fun to colored. I have to say I am totally in Love with this image and the sentiment I stamped on the inside of my card too.

Today I'm using "Funny Farm"  and "Too Many To Count" from Highhopesstamps.com

To make this card I started by stamping the image and colored with alcohol markers. I added glossy accent to the cow bell and doodle some lines with a white jelly pen. I want this cute image to be the star of my card, so I skip my usual embellishments.

Image is colored with Copics;
rooster C3 C5 C7 R29 R39 E31 E33 E37
pig E15 E25
sheep C1 C3 R11
cow E31 E33 E37 C3 C5

Here is the inside!
I used the same paper pattern for the inside of my card and add "Too Many To Count" for a sentiment. Thank so much for stopping by. Wishing you all a great Sunday.

Ready for October!

Today I have two projects for you, one for each of our upcoming October holidays!

First up is Thanksgiving, which for Canada falls in early October. This cutie is Lg. Turkey and he's a blast to color up! He's a fairly large image, so I had some fun figure out how to layer my papers behind him. Luckily, he has a smaller brother, Sm. Turkey, so if this guy is a bit big for your taste, you've got options! The sentiment I've used here is Happy Thanksgiving.

Of course, October wouldn't be complete without all 31 days, so I have for your a Halloween card too. I know my fellow Design Team members have been playing with Angel Bear Witch this month, so you know that she's a cutie! We just can't resist her! Angel Bear Witch has been paired on my card with Happy Halloween Script.

Check out our daily inspiration here on the High Hopes blog. We've got great ideas to kick start all your wonderful projects! You can also find us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest.

Have a perfectly lovely Sunday and we'll see you again next week with more great inspiration from the talented team at High Hopes Stamps.

GO VEGAN!

Hi everyone, and happy Sunday!
I have a set of 2 Thanksgiving/Autumn cards to share with you guys today.

I stamped both images in black ink onto Copic friendly paper, them colored with alcohol makers. For the background I couldn't resist using a combination of distress inks (scattered straw, wild honey and vintage photo) next I spritz some water drops and dried. While my image was drying I used some metal dies and glitter cardstock to assemble the cards.

Image is colored with Copics;

Fall Pillow Boxes...Using Chubby Pumpkin!

Hi there and happy Sunday,
I have a set of "FALL" pillow boxes to share with you.
These pillow  boxes are fun to make and easy to mass producing!

My image is "Chubby Pumpkins" from Highhopesstamps.com

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic Markers. Once the image was color I fussy cut it leaving a small white border. Next I used my Sizzix Thinlists 660660 to die cut the pillow box. For my background I used a Sizzix embossing folder and a few distress inks. It's so hard to capture the look of the embossing folder in a photo.

To finish my project I added some sequins, gold ringtones, and the word Fall. Also added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella pen. Here is another project using this adorable image.

Go Vegan!

Welcome High Hopes Rubber Stamps Fans!

It’s Wednesday, and this month at High Hopes Rubber Stamps we are celebrating Fall.  This week, I made a pop-up card using Tom's Plea (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) who is pleading with everyone to go Vegan! Unfortunately, for Tom, I will probably still have Turkey for Thanksgiving! For me, Tofu turkey is just not as good. I'm sure he will still be able to sway quite a few people though. Actually, for years, we had ravioli and meatballs for Thanksgiving, because I used to work in the food industry creating the weekly food flyers, by the time Thanksgiving day came , I didn't even want to hear the word "turkey". LOL!

Card all popped up.

Card Recipe:
