Home For Christmas

Welcome back High Hopes fans!

My post for this week is one more Christmas in July card featuring "Festive Wreath".
I love driving around and looking at Christmas decorations. This wreath had a country feel to me so I pictured it on a fence.
Where I live, it is very common for people to hang wreaths on the cedar rail fence they have near their homes.
It is also common to see a tractor out in the middle of a field covered in Christmas lights...... but I personally love the wreaths.

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and hand fussy cutting it with manicure scissors. I added some Stickles to the beads and clear Spectrum Sparkle pen to the bow.
Some glittery snow on the fence and in the blue sky behind add just the right amount of bling.
I added a silver brad to the fence so it looked like the nail head used to hand the wreath.
Some sparkly Stickles in the hearts with the sentiment help tie everything together.

Sentiment: All Hearts - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Snow Angels

Welcome back High Hopes Fans! This week I am continuing with my Christmas in July theme with a fun image called "Snow Angels".

I have to admit that it is a challenge to think about cold, snow and winter when we are finally getting some hot summer weather. For those of us who live in an area that gets snow, making snow angels was a really fun thing to do and something I think everyone did at least once in their life.

This stamp sure brings back some fun childhood memories!

My snow angels were stamped, coloured with alcohol markers and cut out using a stitched rectangle die. I added some sparkly stickles to our angels' outfits and to the larger snow drops in the background.
I matched the colours to patterned paper from MME and added some snowflakes with an embossing folder although they are just peeking out <smile>. I added a few fishtail tags just for fun - this is a great way to use up the small pieces left behind after cutting a piece of paper.
The sentiment was stamped and cut out using a fish tail banner die and some sparkly gumdrops finish off my card.

Fishing Santa

Howdy - MichelleO here today, How about a little Christmas in July? And one of my all time favorite fun Christmas image is High Hopes Stamps Fishing Santa

You just know that is probably what Santa is doing now with his summer vacation right?

He is adorable isn't he.. and look some shiny fish for his catch! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then inked the edges with Rangers Tea Dye Distress Ink. Then Santa needs a little sparkle to him even in summer. So I added some Rangers Stickles Diamond. My papers are from Papers Studio's Beach collection. I liked that net looking paper with the fishing theme. My sentiment is a High Hopes Stamps sentiment that is just too perfect for the image! "Best Fishes for a Merry Christmas!"

And my Copic colors used -

Now make sure to pay attention this weekend for a new High Hopes Stamps release... seriously this release has me totally giddy! Does that give you any hints? he he

Get Well Soon!

Good Morning High Hopes Followers!!
Today I am sharing with you a Get Well card I made using the super sweet "Seymor's Sick Day" stamp from High Hopes Stamps. Poor Seymore looks like he's "dragon" his butt LOL!
I started by stamping and colouring just the green of the dragon. Then using a piece of terrycloth and some of my Copic Blending Solution I dabbed it on coloured green areas. It sort of takes some of the colour out and leaves a bit of texture to the image. I then finished colouring "Seymor" and fussy cut him out using my Silhouette Machine. I chose papers from the Doodlebug  Dragon Tails 6x6 Collection. The papers match Seymor perfectly. I used half of the "Better Quickly" sentiment on the outside.
Then I inked up the other half of the "Better Quickly" sentiment on the inside.
Copics Used:
YG21, YG23, YG25, YG17
W1, W3
B28, B26, B23
R24, C1

Candy Cane Wishes

I always have the best intentions - to start my Christmas cards early so I'm not rushing to get them done. I like to personalize my cards as much as possible by using images that match the receivers personality or hobby. I have a number of them that need to be sent out West so leaving things to the last minute makes it stressful.

However, since I'm being honest here.........I always have good intentions but I am also Always! rushing to get my cards done for Christmas.....maybe this year will be different?

This week my card features "Niki Sweet Tooth" and the "Candy Cane and Mistletoe" sentiment..made for one of the "sweets" lovers on my list of course.

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and cutting it out with a classic circle die. I used my Fiskars circle cutter to cut the cardstock circle to back it with. I chose my patterned paper from Echo Park and added a fun white and silver ribbon and bell to match the little bells on his shoes.
Some red berry sparkle pen was added to the candy cane for some bling - this girl loves a touch of bling especially on Christmas cards.
Icicle Stickles were added to the hat tassle and some silver glittery gumdrops finish off my card.

Christmas in July!

Hello HH Fans!!
No your eyes aren't playing tricks on you it's Christmas in July LOL!! I'm using the High Hopes stamp called "Snowman Pile" to create my cute card. Since it's not "traditionally" the time to make a Christmas card, I thought I'd also use non-traditional colours as well!
I stamped and cut out my image using a Stitched Tag die. Then I coloured it using my Copic Sketch Markers in colours to match my Designer papers. I also inked all the edges of my papers with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo for some added dimension. I added the "Peace, Love, Joy" sentiment in the bottom corner. A few enamel dots, ribbon, bow and snowflake are my embellishments this time for this card.
Copics Used:
Snowmen: C1, N8
Blue Greens: BG72, BG75, BG78
Violets: V91, V93, V95, V99
Red Violets: RV52, RV55
Snow: B0000, B0000

Spruced Up

Happy Sunday!!

Last year I've started making my Christmas cards way to late, so this time it's an extra early start with my Christmas cards, haha!
Today I've made a card in my favorite colours: turquoise, kraft and white..
The stamp is called 'Getting Spruced Up' by High Hopes Stamps.
I try to use as many scraps as possible and sometimes it's a bit of a puzzle, but the dotted background is actually made of 2 strokes of paper ;)

Supplies used:
Paper: Bazzill kraft
Dessinpaper: lots of scraps (love to use those!)
Colouring: Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
Other: wooden snowflakes, oval die, Stickles white frost, Stabilo black, light blue glitters
