Juggles

Howdy - MichelleO here and this week for High Hopes Stamps I went for fun and lots of colors! And can't get more fun and colorful than a clown! This is Juggles!

Gotta love a clown... well unless you have that thing about being scared of clowns I guess! Juggles is colored with my Copics (colors below) and then I found papers in my scrap pile that had lots of fun colors as well. And I love the banner paper. Everything is placed on red card stock base and mats. Then I noticed that the balls the clown is juggling... the exact same size as my brads! I just had to do that right?

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps - "Just clowning around"

Beautiful Day Cardinal

I love cardinals and blue jays and am blessed to live in an area where I see them both quite regularily. I love the colours on both birds and was lucky enough to find a red feather outside of my work place a few months ago. I have never found a red feather, they are always white so when I was found this Cardinal stamp in my High Hopes Rubber Stamps coloured stamp stash, I knew I had to use it on a card I can send to bring someone a smile.

I coloured this stamp awhile ago when I was transitioning from Spectrum Noir markers to Copic markers. I cut it out using a square pleated lace die from Gina Marie Designs and cut a card stock piece to put behind it. I created the paper layers with patterned paper from My Favorite Things and Honey Bee. I added a few layered fish tail banners to add some interest and texture. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using a circle die. Glitter dots finish off my card.

Valerie Nurse Angel

Howdy - MichelleO here and this week for High Hopes Stamps I needed a Get Well Soon card, and Valerie Nurse Angel is a favorite of mine!  She is just too adorable helping out her little Teddy Bear Friend!

I colored with my Copics (colors below) I then cut it out and went to find pattern papers. The Webster Pages gingham paper was just gorgeous! The papers are layered and then sewn together. A sentiment from High Hopes Stamps "Get Well Soon Script" is stamped then sewn on as a band across the corner.

Loved the pretty papers so much and how Valerie pops so I decided to not add too much more and only added Nuvo glitter to her wings and then Nuvo white pen dots in two of the corners.

A little simple but I love how it came out!

Friendly Birthday Wishes

At the beginning of the year, I challenged myself to make one birthday card a month so I wasn't scrambling through out the year when I need a card.

I haven't been successful in my personal challenge over the last few months so this week I decided I needed to get back on track made a birthday card for one of my cat loving friends featuring Friendly Kitty from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

After colouring with my Copic markers, I hand cut the stamp leaving a really thin white edge to help it stand out on the background. Patterned paper from Honey Bee was perfect for my background and design so I cut a circle to fit the pleated card stock circle, cut a strip to go behind the tag and then cut a co-ordinating piece for my card base.
Next I cut a tag and after putting London Fog distress ink on all the paper edges I added the circle and layers. I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment to tuck up under the stamp and glued everything down. Some ribbon on the tag and enamel dots finish off my card.

Drive Thru

Howdy MichelleO here today and I've been really busy lately - Wish I could get a little caffeine to help boost my energy. But darn it I gave it up! But this guy... he has his order at his favorite Coffee Drive-Thru! This is High Hopes Stamps "Drive Thru

He is just too cute and too fun to color! I used my Copics (colors below) and then found some papers from Prima Marketing En Francais collection. I thought the french papers were good for a french roast coffee card!

All my layers are sewn down with dark thread, and then placed on a dark brown card stock base. The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Coffee to Go". Punched out with an EK Success Ticket punch. Then faux matted the edges with a matching Copic marker.

Fun card for a friend!

Wintery Christmas

It is the first few weeks of fall where I live but I know Christmas is just around the corner and I have a lot of cards to make so I am sneaking a Christmas card in in hopes of checking one more off my list. I love the High Hopes Christmas stamps and for this card I used the adorable "Wintery Owl". He is so cute all bundled up in his big scarf and pom pom hat!

I coloured this cutie with Copic markers, hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge and added some Star Dust Stickles to his hat and scarf and some clear sparkle pen to his Christmas ornaments. This is an A2 size card so I cut my card stock and patterned paper to fit my card base, added some ribbon and glued it down. Next, I cut a circle out of card stock and patterned paper and when I had decided where I wanted it to sit on the card, I trimmed off on side of the circle and glued down the stamp.
Some white glittery icicles were perfect to add to the top edge of the card and under the sentiment. I added a bow to the ribbon, some snowflakes cut out of a border die and some matte dots to finish off my card.

Wagon Full of Blessings

Howdy - MichelleO here today - This week for High Hopes Stamps I worked with one of my favorite Fall images. "Wagon Full of Blessings" just warms my heart!

I found some pattern papers from Webster's Pages and Memory Box that I love. Coloring with my Copics (colors below)  to coordinate with the papers. I first was going to use a white card stock base, but then decided I liked the warmth of the dark brown.

The sentiment is also High Hopes Stamps "Happy Harvest" perfect! Those two cuties look pretty happy with the pumpkin they harvested!

All the layers are sewn down with black thread. A simple card but I like the warmth and... well Fall feeling of this one!

Fall Is Here!

Fall is here and this week my card was inspired by all of the gorgeous fall decor I see in my daily travels to and from work and around town. I see so many beautiful fall displays with everything from pumpkins to scarecrows and everything in between. This card has used a lot of stamps from High Hopes (list below the pictures) and involved a lot of fussy cutting but I am happy with how it turned out!

I stamped on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers and hand fussy cut the images. I ran a black marker around the edges to make sure I got any white I had missed. I decided to keep the patterned paper neutral because there are so many images in my scene. After cutting a circle in a piece of card stock, I put some blue paper behind it and inked all of the edges with Ground Espresso Distress ink. I cut some clouds with a die and glued them in the sky.
Next, I added the stamped images to create my scene, coloured the sentiment sign and added it using a brad.
Some enamel dots finish off my card.

Sick Ollie

Howdy - MichelleO here and this week I went for a favorite Get Well Soon Image at High Hopes Stamps. This is "Sick Ollie"

Love this image to cheer up a friend that isn't feeling so well. I colored "Sick Ollie" with my Copics. Then dug deep into some of my favorite older pattern papers. These are older Sassafrass papers, love that scalloped border. Things are all sewn down with my sewing machine. Had a panic at first as I am out of white thread!! But then I decided to try some black thread. I kinda like it!

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Get Well Soon Script". Love the fun font on this one.

Makes a fun card to put a smile on someone under the weather.
