Hello Winter

Welcome Everyone;

Now that the rush of Christmas has come and gone, it is now New Year's Eve.  No doubt it will be a quiet one for people, but still celebrated as for saying good bye to 2021 and hello to 2022.

For my last card of the year I have used Bear, Mountains and paired with Hello Winter stamps from High Hopes Stamps.  These are all from the Woodland Winter Release.

After stamping them all on copic friendly paper, I coloured them with copic markers.  The mountains were stamped 3 times amd each one was also coloured with copic markers.  They were all fuzzy cut  and the outer edges touched up with a Tsukenko Memento Tuxedo Black Marker.  I created the mountains, by adding multiple layers.  White Blizzard from Nuvo Glitter Accents line was added to the mountain tops.  The enamel dots and a snowflake finished off this CAS card.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Bear - TDG002, Mountains - TDG007, Hello Winter - FDG007 all from High Hopes Stamps Woodland Winter Release
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock, DP - North Country - Prima, Perfectly Plaid Winter - Lawn Fawn
  • Copic Markers:

A Stack Of Wishes

A new year is set to begin in a few days and I don't know about you, but I couldn't have made it through without the help of my peeps! We have had so many fun times and may or may not have had some crazy times too!

The "Perfectly Stackable" stamp from High Hopes brings so many good memories back of some of these times. The crazy times, when my peeps and I let our hair down and just had some good, honest fun! This stamp just makes my giggle! and I have decided that I am the one on the bottom......with the coffee because anyone who knows me knows how much I like my coffee!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year  and my hope is that you have peeps in your life who help you have some fun ....with just a smidge of crazy ;)

After stamping these cuties, I coloured them with Copic markers, added some Star Dust Stickles to the snowflakes and cut the stamp out with a handstitched nested rectangle die. I added them to some fun paper from the Holiday Cheer paper pad from Honey Bee Stamps. Then, I stamped the sentiment and added it to the side of the stamp. A few die cut snow flakes scattered around the design and enamel dots finish off my card.

Joy!

Hi!
Well the Christmas rush is over and I hope everyone experienced the best the holiday had to offer! We had a very relaxing and quiet Christmas here at our house. Today I wanted to share one last Christmas card with you. It's already been sent off and hopefully my Aunt will love it as much as I do! This is the adorable "Snowman Sled" from High Hopes Stamps.
I started by stamping "Snowman Sled" onto Copic friendly paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next using my Copic Sketch markers, I coloured it to match the papers from the Moda Scraps "Sweet Christmas" 6x6 collection. I used a Gina Marie Loopey Square die to cut out the image. Using Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo, I inked all the edges of my papers to add some dimension. A few enamel dots and some snowflake die cuts finish off my card today.
I decided to put the sentiment "Seasons Greetings" also from High Hopes on the inside. I added some more die cut snowflakes for added interest.
Copics Used:
Snowman: C00, C1/ YR04, YR09/ W7, W8, W9
Sled: W1, W3, W5, W7, W8, W9

North Pole Penguin

Howdy - MichelleO here and today for High Hopes Stamps I have a little "North Pole Penguin" for you -

Now I went way off from the traditional Christmas type colors. Christmas has now past and Winter is here! So I went with cold colors... brrrrrrr.... Ok.. so it is nearly 80 degrees where I am, but I am thinking cold! (and turning on the air conditioning!) - I colored with my Copics and then added Nuvo white paint, and Rangers Silver Stickles.

Then I went digging in my stash of pattern papers and found Bohemian collection from Dovecraft. They have a touch of sparkle to them... perfect! I added a border punch from Fiskars - and then sewed all the layers down.

Sentiment of "Hello Winter" - also from High Hopes Stamps, is the perfect sentiment. Punched out with an EK Success punch. That I created a faux mat with a Copic marker.

 Copic colors used -

Love the cool winter feel of this one. And the fun sparkle. To see more wonderful image from High Hopes Stamps newest release "Woodland Winter" - click HERE

Snowman Sparkle

Merry Christmas to my followers and High Hopes fans!

Christmas is just a few days away and like usual I am still working on a few last minute Christmas cards and like these cuties in the "Snowman Stocking" ...putting up a few decorations.
This stamp is so fun! and the snowmen using their "arms" to hold up the lights just makes me giggle!
Meet "Snowman Stocking"(TDG010) from the Woodland Winter release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I have paired it with the "Sparkle" (FDG011) sentiment and although it is hard to see - added some sparkle to the lights and stars on the "stocking".

I stamped this fun stamp and coloured it with Copic markers and hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white edge so it stood out against the dark paper behind it. I added some Spectrum Clear sparkle pen to the lights and stars on the "stocking". I set them aside and after finding some paper from the Jingle All The Way pad from Echo Park I cut the pieces and card stock to fit my card base.

The finished size of this card is 4.5"w x 5.5"h - not too big and not too small, love this size! I went in to my stash and found some white glitter paper and used it to cut out a Twinkle Scribble die to add behind my image.
Next, I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using a fish tail banner die and added it behind the stamp. While I had the fish tail dies out, I cut a small piece of patterned paper to put in the top left corner. Some enamel dots finish off my card.

Card Recipe

Hello Winter!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas CAS card using Penguin Tag - SDG003 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Hello Winter - FDG007 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Winter is now here and these little penguins couldn't wait to start enjoying it.

I'd like to take this time to also wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25".  I cut the background paper from Craft Consortium - Polar Playtime to be the same and attached it directly to the base. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry was used to ink around the outside of the card. Using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and the little berries with a Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen - Gold. I used Sakura Glaze - Black and Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen was used for the eyes and little dots on the hat.) Clear - Wink of Stella was applied over top of the candy canes and candy cane border. Once this was all complete, I fussy cut around the image and then coloured in around it with Copic B01. I ran the image through my Xyron Creative Station and attached it to some Hot Pink cardstock. Once again, I fussy cut around the image and then popped it up on to the card using U-Line double-sided tape. Lastly, Gelly Roll Sparkle Pen was applied to the little blue snowflakes and dots on the background paper to finish off the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Penguin Tag - SDG003 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Hello Winter - FDG007 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

This is Christmas Penguins -  Aren't they just adorable!? And so many presents! I colored with my Copics and then used LOTS of Nuvo and Stickles glitter.

Scraps from Graphic 445 Christmas collection with cream and red card stock all sewn down with a EK Success border punch. My sentiment is also High Hopes Stamps - "Merry Christmas" that I punched out with a EK Success punch and then around the edge I used a Red Copic to create a faux mat.

Hello Winter

I have to admit, winter is not my favourite time of year, but it has some absolutely gorgeous days! You know the ones.....when there has been a fresh, wet snow fall that sticks to the trees and the sun is shining and the sky is clear and blue. The sun is glistening off the snow and it looks like little diamonds everywhere, it is literally a winter wonderland.

These are the winter days I enjoy and I have tried to capture that in my card using "Forest (TSG006)" from the new Woodland Winter release and the adorable "Winter Moose (SDG002". My dog doesn't like the salt on the sidewalks so he often doesn't want to go for a long walk even on the most beautiful days so I often try to sneak a bit of one in on my lunch on a walking trail that goes beside my office. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it is truly beautiful!

After using my Misti to do the stamping, I coloured both of them with Copic markers. I hand fussy cut the moose, and used a white gel pen to add some gently falling snow to the forest. I wanted to keep my card design simple for this one and used some patterned paper from the Sugar Plums pad by Doodlebug.
I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a fish tail banner die and added some enamel dots to finish off my card.

Card Recipe

Stamp: ForestWinter Moose - High Hopes Rubber Stamps

Christmas Wreath!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using Wreath - TDG012 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Merry Christmas - FDG008 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. We love to decorate our home with Christmas wreaths outside and on our door! Do you decorate with Christmas wreaths too?

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5" x 5". I die cut Recollections - Burgundy to be the same size as the base and adhered it to the card using double-sided tape. DCWV - Holiday Cheer was cut to the size of 4.75" x 4.75" and a Sharpie - Medium Point Gold Water based paint was used to go around all of the edges. This was adhered to the base background using liquid glue. I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card with my Cuttlebug and Crafting Desert Diva's - Stitched in Circle Dies. With my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto the die cut and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. I coloured the image in with Copic markers and coloured in some of the berries with a Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen - Gold. A Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen was used to add the little white dots on all of the red berries. Once the image was coloured in, I used the Sharpie - Medium Point Gold Water based paint to go around the scalloped part of the circle. I cut around the sentiment to the size of 1.25 x 2-1/8" and then used a corner punch. Once again, I went around the edges with a Sharpie - Medium Point Gold Water based paint pen. I adhered the the finished image and sentiment to the base card using U-Line double-sided tape. Lastly, I applied Nuvo Crystal Drops - Autumn Red to complete the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Wreath - TDG012 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Merry Christmas - FDG008 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb., DCWV - Holiday Cheer (6" x 6"), Recollections - Burgundy

Cocoa Gnome!

Happy Tuesday!
Oh my gosh! I absolutely love this adorable Gnome from High Hopes Stamps called: "Cocoa Gnome"!  Lora opened the vault for this re-release of previously retired stamps and is calling it "Winter Wonderland"! I'm a morning coffee drinker but love a hot beverage at night and hot cocoa is often my go to! No marshmallows for me but I'll take that gingerbread cookie LOL!
I decided to use papers for my card from the Polkadoodles "HOHO Gnome" & "Gnome Season" 6x6 collections. To start my card, I stamped the image onto some Copic friendly paper and coloured it to match the papers with my Copic Sketch markers. Then using my Brother Cut N Scan I cut around the image. I added a heart border to each side of the middle strip of paper for a fun look. I added the HH "Gnome For Christmas" sentiment to the bottom corner. Both the sentiment and image are popped up with foam squares for added dimension to my card. I love glitter, so I added some Diamond Stickles to the Gnome's hat. A bit or ribbon, bow and enamel dots finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E01, E21, E11
Beard & Marshmallows: C00, C0, C1, C3
Greens: YG03, G94, G99
Red: RV34, R56 R59, R81/ R35, R37

Snowman Stockings

Howdy - MichelleO here and today I have another new release from High Hopes Stamps Woodland Winter Collection - Loving these beautiful winter images! This is Snowman Stockings -

I so love the country feel of these images! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut out with an oval Spellbinders Nestie. Then distressed the edges with Rangers Tea Ink. While digging on my desk I found the gorgeous scroll die from Spellbinders, funny how things get buried on my craft desk and then when found feel like a new toy! I cut out and used as a mat behind my snowmen. A few scrap pieces of Graphic 45 papers sewn down and bordered with a Fiskars border punch all on a matching brown card stock base.

Used the perfect sentiment "Merry Christmas" from the same High Hopes release.  Love the fonts and the size of this sentiment. Once I had everything in place and sewn down my sweet Hubby came by and looked and said "You need some snow on all those scrolls.." Dang that is a good idea - don't tell him though.. I'll never hear the end of it. LOL So I pulled out some Nuvo white and added snow to the tops of all of those curls on the mat. Now Hubby said he would have put more.. but we all knew that.

Seemed like it needed just a bit more so I added three small red buttons top right corner.

Copic colors used -

Seasons Greetings

Welcome Everyone;

With Christmas just two weeks away, houses are becoming festive with all the decorations on the lawns and front doors of houses.  One of the more traditional Christmas Decorations is hanging a wreath on the front door or a wall and is almost as essential to decorating for yuletide as setting up a Christmas tree and it turns out, that the two traditions come from the same place.

For today's card, I used the Wreath stamp paired with the sentiment Seasons Greetings, both from High Hopes Stamps "Woodland Winter" re release.

After stamping the image on Copic friendly paper, and colouring it, I cut it out with a pleated circle die. I also cut a wreath from a Wreath die and some Christmas Glitter paper from American Crafts, and laid this off to one side of the pleated circle wreath. Some Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter was added to the wreath, and some ribbon and enamel dots finished off this CAS card.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Wreath - TDG012, Seasons Greetings - FDG010 both from High Hopes Stamps "Woodland Winter" re Release
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP - Jingle All the Way - Echo Park, Christmas Glitter - American Crafts
  • Copic Markers:
    • E25 - Caribe Cocoa, E27 - Milk Chocolate
    • G12 - Sea Green, G14 - Apple Green, G17 - Forest Green
    • G46 - Strong Red
  • Dies:  Pleated Circles & Wreath -- both from Gina Marie Designs
  • Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen -- Clear
  • Miscellaneous:  Ribbon and Enamel Dots

Happy Holidays Sled

Winter is here and Christmas is just around the corner and that means there are lots of Christmas and winter decorations popping up on front lawns, porches and houses.

Snowman Sled from the Woodland Winter release reminds me of some of the gorgeous decorations I see in my travels to and from work. My drive is very rural but some of the small towns I pass through have some gorgeous decorations. This stamp reminds me of some the "country" feel decorations I see and that is what inspired my card design. This re release is full of fun winter stamps and perfect for Christmas, winter and winter birthday cards! After stamping this cutie with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, I coloured him with Copic markers and hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. It is hard to see in the picture but there is clear Spectrum Sparkle pen added to the berry branches.
I mixed some patterned paper from Echo Park and Whimsy Stamps to help create my country feel back ground. The plaid paper is cut out using a pleated lace rectangle die to add some interest to my card.  I edged all of the paper edges with walnut stain distress ink and glued them down on my A2 size card base. Next I stamped the sentiment, inked the edges and added it to matching card stock.
I added some cotton ribbon from my stash and some die cut berries, I think they match the stamp pretty well. I added the stamped image with foam pop dots  and finished off the card with enamel dots.
