Hedgehog Bubbles

  The ultimate stress relief or if I had been on my feet all day was a nice hot bubble bath. I haven't done it in years but when I was in the restaurant industry or had spent a weekend at a trade show, there was nothing like coming home and sinking in to a hot bubble bath. My favourite kind was chocolate fudge sundae which sadly isn't made anymore - yup, they made a bubble bath that smelled like chocolate! When I saw the "Baby Hedgehog" stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, it reminded me of the days when a hot bubble bath helped me find my smile again. 

After stamping and colouring with Copic markers, I cut the stamp out with a square xstitch die. Patterned paper from an old Pebbles pad were perfect for my design and 5.5" x 5.5" base. I stamped the sentiment, cut it out using a fishtail banner die and cut some matching card stock and patterned paper to add as well. Some sheer ribbon from my stash and enamel dots finish off my card.

Thankful Friends

Howdy - MichelleO here today and this week for High Hopes Stamps I am thinking Fall and Fall Holidays - Thanksgiving comes to mind first for me - Always have loved cooking up that big holiday meal and sharing with loved ones. I went through all the great images at High Hopes Stamps Thanksgiving images - I chose "Thankful Friends" 

 

Fun image! I colored with my Copics (colors below) And then went digging in my stash of papers. Found some Fiskars papers that I liked with the fall image. Stacking up three of the patterns, and using black card stock for the base and a mat. 

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Scripty Happy Thanksgiving" a little faux orange mat with a copic marker. I needed a little more for the card - and found some great enamel dots that matched the pattern papers perfectly.

Standing with some SASS!

I'm poppin' in today to share this cutie just standing with some sass....she is called Standing Witchy Poo.  The look on her face just cracks me up.  

I used some pretty bold patterned paper in the background...or should I say busy paper.  Typically I shy away from that so that's why my stash is full of it.  But I decided to brave the day & use this piece from the We R Memory Keepers Spookville pad.  It's a seriously old pad but I still like it.  The colours are very muted so I seemed like a good fit behind my very bright witch.  What do you think?

I paired this witch with our sentiment called Take Flight.  I know she isn't flying...but look at that face, she's thinking about it.

Fairy Smiles

 It has been awhile since I added to my Thinking of You, Just Because card stash and it is getting low so I decided to add to my stash with this card featuring "Fairy On A Log" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps in some fall colours. I love to send a card to a friend or family member I haven't been able to connect with for awhile. 

After stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper and colouring with Copic markers, I hand fussy cut the stamp leaving a thin white edge. I added some sparkle pen to her wings and the flower petals. 

 Patterned paper from Simple Stories and Honey Bee Stamps were perfect for my card so I cut them to fit my 4.25" x 5.5" base. All paper is edged with ink to help the layers pop. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a sentiment strip and cut a matching piece of card stock to go behind it. The stamp is added to the card front with foam pop dots and the card is finished off with enamel dots.

Apple Pie Anyone

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I am so happy to say... Fall is here! And that makes me think of all the spices - Now for many that is all the pumpkin everything that appears this time of year. But me I fall more in the apple pie section! And I so I went looking for this cute little image "Apple Pie Anyone"from High Hopes Stamps.

 

Colored with my Copic markers, and then went looking for papers to match up. I found some making memories scraps that just make me feel warm. Love the old fashion cross stitch paper with apple pie theme.

Halloween Bat Friends

I'm popping in today to share our adorable image called Bat Friends.  I also added the Eek image to this card...love it!  I've said it before & I'll say it again I LOVE to colour Halloween images lol.  The colours just give me so much inspiration & I can't get enough of them.

For this little cutie I decided to place him on the card right side up instead of down.  I think he looks kinda' cool, don't you?

I was visiting a friend a couple of weeks ago & she had this amazing Brutus Monroe Haunted Mansion 6 x 6 paper pack.  The colours matched perfectly to how I coloured the image....so I swiped a few pieces of paper.  I wonder if she will notice she is missing some paper lol.

Home For Christmas

 I missed Christmas last year. There was a three day snow storm that started on Dec. 24 and didn't stop until Dec. 27. It was literally like we were in a snow globe and not safe to travel anywhere. I'm not sure if I could have even walked to my Mom's if I lived closer but being snowed in and a Christmas snow storm was the inspiration for my card featuring "Christmas Gofer" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

I stamped onto alcohol marker friendly paper and coloured with Copic markers. I hand sketched some extra snow banks and used a Copic multi liner pen on them when I was happy with their placement. I added the lines because I wanted it to look like big, deep piles of snow that this adorable gofer was trying to get through. I found some paper from Whimsy Stamps for my background paper and cut it to size and cut some trees out of a border die. Then, I held my breath and splattered some watered down white acrylic paint over the whole scene to look like he was in a blizzard. 

I chose two sentiments to mask off and stamp to create the sentiments for my card. Some sparkly snowflakes cut out of a snowflake border die and enamel dots finish off my card.

Writing Mouse

Howdy -Michelle O here this week and for High Hopes Stamps I looked for something fun and fall - I saw Writing Mouse and and it made me smile. And with that pretty pencil in his hands it made me think of a new school year. That is Fall right? 

Here is Writing Mouse -  

 

He is adorable right? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some older papers from Prima Marketing, En Francais collection. I like the pattern with the hand writing on it. I matched up with other papers from the collection and then created a band with the EK Success border punch. 

All the layers are sewn down matted with dark brown card stock. The sentiment "Thanks!" is also from High Hopes Stamps Love the Dot font. It is punched out with a EK Success ticket punch.

The weather here in Ontario has been crazy hot & humid this week...it's like the lazy days of Summer all over again in September lol.  But thankfully it's not quite as hot & humid today.

Thanksgiving Mice

  The leaves are starting to turn beautiful fall colours where I live and that means fall and Thanksgiving are just around the corner. I feel the leaves are changing early this year but it has inspired me to get my Thanksgiving cards started. White pumpkins are very popular where I live so I stepped out of my comfort zone and coloured the pumpkin on the "Harvest Mice" stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps as a white pumpkin instead of the traditional orange for my first Thanksgiving card of the year. How cute are these three!?!

After stamping on to alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured with Copic markers, added polka dots to the dress with a white gel pen and added some clouds with a cloud die cut and Tumbled Glass Distress ink. Then, I cut the image to size to fit my 5.5" x 5.5" card base and cut the bottom with a stitched edge die. I set that aside and cut some card stock and polka dot paper from Simple Stories to add to the card base. I used the same stitched border die for the card stock to put behind the stamp to help it stand out better. I stamped and cut the sentiment and tucked it under the stamped image. Enamel dots finish off my card.

Hay Ride

Howdy - MichelleO here today ...  It is officially Fall right? Ok its still pretty hot where I am but on the calendar it is Fall coloring time! I pulled out a cutie favorite from High Hopes Stamps - Hay Ride

 

 Totally Adorable Right?? I adore the farm country images at High Hopes Stamps! And this cute little kids seem to be working on getting a few chores done? Maybe or just have fun giving rides. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then inked the edges with Ranger Tie Dye ink,  for a more vintage feel on it. 

My pattern papers are from Memory Box Valise collection. All sewn down and put on a kraft paper card stock. Love the kraft card stock look of all of these papers! 

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Welcome Fall" Great sentiment that is also an image of sorts! I used an enamel dot to faux hold the sign to the card - then decided that a few more in the opposite corner was needed as well. 

A happy card! Love how soft yet country this one feels.
