Hiya All!
The image today is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  The actual Rubber Stamp is Bunny with Tulip.

I used a new technique that I learned from an Online Class that I took.  The technique was to colour the image then use the colourless blender on a piece of fabric to remove some of the colouring to make it look like a stuffed animal.  It did not turn out the way I was hoping, it bled through so I actually made lemonade from lemons LOL  I cut out the image, used another one to glue the cut out image on...see how perfect the whiskers look? LOL.  And then thought, hmmmmmm for a bit more of a pop I will do another colouring of the tulip and vase and pop that up!  The effect was quite nice if I don't say so myself!  Geesh now thinking about it I should have popped up the feet too, maybe twice for the effect...Oh Well, next time I use this image!  I also curled the orange paper to a round effect so it looked more like a carrot for the bunny

The Copic Markers that I used are;

Bunny - E18, 17, 15
Bunny Ears/Feet/Nose - RV10, 21, 13
Vase - BG0000, 000 and R56, 37, 35
Tulip - V17, 15, 12
Leaves - R56, YR04, YG67, YG17, YG03
Sky - BG0000, 000
Shadow/Table - E42, W2, W0

The items that I used to create my card are;

BackGround Paper from One Crazy Stamper

On hand I used the Orange and Green Cardstock, the Green Thread (for the carrot top), Ribbon.  Not sure where all these were bought from I have had them for years LOL.  Common I know your saying the same things LOL

Thanks for popping in to see my creation!  I look forward to seeing what you complete for our Challenge this month.

Jane

This is Party Girl Florence

Sure hope everyone is keeping warm these days!  Maybe this "party girl" will heat things up!
I coloured Florence with Tombow Markers and water, then sponged some pink and blue ink around the image.  Glossy Accents were used on the balloons, and frosted lace stickles on her pearl necklace. I used a wave die(on blue vellum), and palm tree die for an added touch to this card. The designer paper is from Carta Bella-Summer Lovin'.  A few YNS - green glitter gumdrops were placed in the top corners to finish it off.

Hope this inspires you to create a card and join us for this month's "Anything Goes" Challenge!
Thanks for joining us!!!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Thursday, February 26th

Hello High Hopes Fans

The challenge runs through Monday, March 2nd.

Lacey

Today I am sharing a card I made using an older design. This is called Leapin' Leprechaun. He's one of the stamps available under the "St. Patricks" collection listed on the High Hopes Website under Occasions. I thought it would be perfect to showcase with St. Patrick's Day around the corner. Make sure to check out the other St. Patty's designs as well.

What goes better with Leprechauns than Rainbows and Gold?!
I found some fun paper from My Mind's Eye and used a rainbow of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. A little die cut pieces from Gold glitter card stock to round it off.

Don't forget to come in on the challenge. The challenge ends on Monday and 1 lucky participant will win 2 Free High Hopes stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!

This week I had some fun with Norman Goat
He is fabulous for those men in you life that you love to give a little birthday old age poke too!
On the front I used the great  Large Fancy "Happy Birthday"
sewing down my pattern papers, and adding ribbon and buttons -
Inside the card is the little poke... a great sentiment stamp for the goat... "Ya Old Goat!"

Natalie
I  created a tag with Little Miss Spring Time.
She's coloured with Copic markers, fussy cut and added to the tag with pop dots for some dimension.  The hill is simply created with fancy paper pinking scissors and some sewing stitches for a homemade look.

Make sure to play along with the challenge for a chance to win 2 Free stamps!

Hello High Hopes Fans!

You can find the February Monthly Challenge here
The challenge runs through Monday, March 2nd.

Today Kristine and Cheri are here to share their creations for your inspiration...

For this weeks card I had a little fun using the paper piecing technique on Part Time Gardener,

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink and colored it with Copic Markers.
The flower is a Gardenia from pizzazzaplenty.

I did a Paper Piecing Tutorial for High Hopes a few years ago.  You can check that out if you want to learn more about this technique or check out my blog for some more pics of how I made this card.

Ok, I'm sick of winter!! It's been so cold here -20 or lower lately brrr. So I was thinking spring when I made this card using the adorable Ally Rose and the Springtime Joy Script sentiment. High Hopes has a Farm Fence stamp that would work perfectly as well.

Ally Rose is coloured using Copic markers and I added some clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to anything that is pink. Lots of die cut shapes and layering, a few butterflies and my design is complete!

Thanks for stopping by today to see what Kristine and I designed!

Dina Gerner our Designer has joined us again this week with a wonderful canvas project to show you.  Stamps aren't just for cards or scrapbook pages...you can use them for your Mixed Media projects too!
Directions:
For the canvas, I primed a 6x6 gallery wrapped canvas with white gesso. This size canvas works really well with the image. I let it dry completely and then added acrylic paint in hues of blues and greens for the background.
I then added some polka dots with texture paint and let it dry completely.I punched several paper flowers out of newspaper print, painted with a light acrylic wash of pink, orange and white and dotted their centers with various colors of Gumdrops from One Crazy Stamper. LOVE the Gumdrops! They are so versatile!
Stamped "Part Time Gardener" and painted her with watercolors and afixed her along with the paper flowers and the sentiment, that I printed and cut, to my canvas.
For the finishing touches, I painted extra flowers and vines, and added some three dimensional paper flowers to the bottom corner and just a few dark outlines to make the image pop.

We hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Today Lynne is here to share her creation for your inspiration...

My card today uses Bunny with Tulip, isn't she a cutie!!
She'd be perfect for Easter cards, but I've used her today as a Thank You card.
Coloured with Derwent Inktense Pencils and then I used a pale grey copic marker to dot round my image.  I paper pieced my scarf as I didn't have any colours to match my DP and then added clear gloss and glitter to the tulip.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you're getting some stamping time to play along in this month's Anything High Hopes Goes challenge!

Had some fun with an older image.. this one is a great pick me up image! "Buggy Frog" R129 with the large sentiment "What Bugs You" R132

Found some Cosmo Cricket papers - love that zig zag -I colored with Copics - really love that sentiment colored up too! A simple ribbon with a tied on chipboard flourish to embellish. Added some stickles to the all the bug wings for some sparkle.

I'm excited to be sharing my card today using the super sweet Taking a Break stamp found in High Hopes new release collection of stamps.
Both the Image and background were coloured with Copics,  I added some extra touches on my design, the little bow, eyelashes and tiny little flowers to create a Spring feel to the card.  The pleated ruffle was also handmade and is super easy to create. I've added a quick tutorial on my blog to show how it was made.

Hello High Hopes Fans!

You can find the February Monthly Challenge here
The challenge runs through Monday, March 2nd.

Today Kristine and Cheri are here to share their creations for your inspiration...

Today I am sharing a fun Flip-it card using Hedgy Has Flowers.
Here is the front when it is all folded up and ready to mail.

I colored the image with copic markers.
To create the texture on Hedgy's fur I dabbed Colorless Blender fluid on a piece of terry cloth and lay it on the image for 3-5 seconds after I colored it.

I used the Sizzix Bigz Rectangle Flip-it Card die for the card base.
The paper is We R Memory Keepers Simply Spring.

Sentiment is Open Thank You.
I don't see this flower in the store yet but Happy Single Flower would work just as well!

Hope you enjoyed today's flip it card.
Now check out what my fellow DT member made for you!

Don't you think  Zach and Ozzie are super adorable! I love the way they are sitting together! It looks like they are taking a break from exploring together. I can tell Ozzie is Zach's side kick and follows him wherever he goes!

For this project I made a 6" x 6" card and decorated it using paper from the Carta Bella collection called Rough and Tumble. Perfect paper for boy themed projects. I coloured up this image using my Copic Sketch markers. I had some paper in my "scrap" bin that I cut and layered with cardstock for the "boys will be boys" saying. Some red hemp string a few red enamel dots and my card was finished. I must admit that I always want to bling up my cards and find it hard not to with  male themed cards. But I could just picture Zach saying "ewww yuck glitter is for girls" LOL.

Thanks for stopping by today and Kristine and I will see you next week!

Dina Gerner

Our Designer Dina has another project to share with you this week....

Boy or girl, birthday or everyday, "Beary Wishes" is the perfect way to send some smiles and great joy.
I painted this little Beary Wishes bear with watercolors in shades of aqua blue, violet and sand.
I used DCWV Nana’s Nursery Baby Boy printed paper. I love this collection. Everything coordinates perfectly! I afixed these precious papers on a piece of Kraft cardstock.
I punched out a few stars and hearts, hand cut the banner flags from the same paper and finished it off with some natural twine.

Did you know that you can now help yourself to a free digi of the famous High Hopes ant?
I've used the stamp version Hopeful Ant, but you'll find the free digi by clicking the tab at the top of the blog :)
(I use him all the time especially for Thank You cards and note cards)
I've coloured my ant with Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils to match my strip of leftover DP (who says ants have to be black or brown?!!), and then I doodled a stitched border round the edge.  Orange gems from stash.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you're getting some stamping time to play along in our challenge!

For today's card, I decided to go with a step-card, using I Love You This Much.  I cut out and glued the little guy's shirt from the patterned paper that I was using - Pebbles, Lakeside.  After coloring this image with Copic Markers, I rounded the edges of the cardstock and mounted it on the card.  I did sponge some light blue ink around the image, but it was light enough it is difficult to see in this picture.  Some button brads were used around the sentiment. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. Hope you like today's post!

Monster Mouth - BG32, BG15, BG09
Monster Horns, Tummy and Foot - YR24, YR14, YR27

The background paper is from the DCWV Birthday Stack.  The embellishments that I used were all from my on hand stash (doesn't everyone have there own stash LOL) and it includes;

A monster ribbon
Flat back Pearls,
Paper heart layered with a wooden heart layered with a crystal heart in the picture area.

I hope that you enjoyed visiting today and pop on over to OneCrazyStamper.com to take a look at the High Hopes stamps and some fantastic deals they have going on there.  There is a crop coming up on February 21st, 2015...that is where I plan to be.  If you haven't registered yet, make sure you do before they are fully booked.  The cost is simple - bring some food for the food bank as your contribution to the event (great cause!).  I look forward to seeing you there too!
