Kind Of Sickly!

Hello!
There is nothing worse than being under the weather and feeling like crap! But if I got this card in the mail, it sure would cheer me up! This is the adorable "Seymore's Sick Day" and "Better Quickly" sentiment from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
Today I am using papers from an older collection from Echo Park Called "For The Record 2". I stamped my image onto some Copic friendly paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I coloured in my image to match the designer papers and cut it out using my Brother Cut N Scan. It's a simple design using different rectangle sizes layered with matching cardstock. Seymore is popped up with foam squares. A scattering of enamel dots finish off my card design.

Shower of Love Teddy

Howdy - MichelleO here and today for High Hopes Stamps I have another Valentine. I LOVE Valentines Day! Hubby's Birthday and our Wedding Anniversary so a big day for sure! So making Valentines is so much fun for me.

This card is with the "Shower of Love Teddy" - Fabulous fun image with the sentiment already made in it!

My card is a bit simpler - but I am planning for a guy so I went calmer than I normally do.

Simple layers, that I rounded the corners on image and pattern papers. The image is colored with my Copics (colors below) and then for that cloud I added some Nuvo clear sparkles. Adds some depth to the cloud sort of.

A gauze ribbon around the middle with a large bow tied to one side. These Valentine images at High Hopes really do make me happy. They have a slightly vintage feel to them and are so fun to color.

Copic colors used -

You really need to visit the High Hopes Stamps web store and see all the Valentines! It is almost February so time to make those cards of love and hearts! Click HERE to pop over to the Valentines at High Hopes!

Birthday Willow

This year I have given myself a challenge. Okay, full disclosure - I give myself this challenge every year and I have yet to meet the challenge but I am determined this is the year! I never seem to have enough birthday cards in my stash for the family and friends I need them for so I have challenged myself to make at least one birthday card a month. We are almost at the end of January and I haven't made one yet so I am sharing a clean and simple (CAS) birthday card featuring "Willow" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

After colouring Willow with Copic markers, I hand fussy cut her leaving a thin white edge and set her aside. Next, I gathered the items I would need to create the background for my clean and simple card.
I cut a white piece of card stock to fit my 5.5" x 5.5" card base, took a circle die, centered it and taped it down with removable post it tape. Then I pulled out some Distress inks (listed below) and some die cut clouds. I taped the clouds in place with a removable tape and then ink blended the sky and grass.
Next, I masked off the part of the sentiment I didn't want to stamp and stamped the sentiment directly on the card base. I always hold my breath when I do this!
To finish off the card I glued down the stamp.

Hogs-N-Kisses!

Howdy!
Todays mini slimline card combines 2 stamps from High Hope Rubber Stamps. I've used the "Soo-eet Petunia and Audrey" and the "Farm Background". I thought that they went nicely together! Oh my gosh, Petunia's smile....too cute!
To start, I stamped my images onto some Copic friendly paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I coloured in my images and cut them out using my Brother Cut N Scan. I decided to colour the field behind the barn as if there is wheat growing in it. I used a MFT "Slimline Cloud Edges" stencil to add some clouds in the background. The "Hogs-N-Kisses" sentiment goes well with the theme of my card. Some MFT Stitched Hills and a little fence just brings it all together. My Main image and the bottom hill are popped up with foam squares for some added dimension to my card.

It's Time

I have a lot of "men" in my life that I need cards for. One of those men is my younger brother who got a new "toy" last year. He doesn't drive it a whole lot but it has a ton of horse power and when he took me for a ride it didn't take much to set me back in the seat.......I loved it!!! This new car opened up an opportunity for my brother and nephew to go to a driving school to learn exactly what the car is capable of. They were just there last week so I haven't heard how things went....but there have been a video and photos posted and it looked like they had an amazing time.

The new car and the opportunity it has brought to my brother were the inspiration for my card featuring "Sports Car 1" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I am sure that last week was just the beginning of a number of adventures!

I decided to do a mini slim line style card because I really wanted to use my licence plate die with this car. I measured the die, cut a card base and rounded the corners with a corner rounder. I set that aside, stamped the car, coloured it with Copic markers and hand fussy cut it. I wanted to have a racing theme for my card so I used patterned paper from the Cartopia pad from Carta Bella.

I had the 6x6 paper pad and a 12x12 piece so I cut some of the flags out of the larger paper to put in the bottom corner. I cut three black strips of paper, trimmed off the end to put under the car to "ground" it and glued the car on top. All the paper edges are inked with Black Soot Distress ink and I finished off the card with a stamped sentiment in the corner.
I will probably give this to my brother or nephew for their birthday so will stamp a Happy Birthday sentiment inside before I give it to one of them...shhhh.

Hang In There!

Hello!
Ok..... when I saw this image I thought it was perfect for my post this week as I'd like to think that is me, relaxing in the hammock. We are heading off on a nice trip for some warm and sunny weather, and the first hammock I see, I'm jumping in! Not to mention having one of those cocktails pictured in the Designer paper LOL. This is the adorable "Sweet Dreams" image from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I paired it with the sentiment stamp "Hang In There".
To start, I stamped my image onto some Copic friendly paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I coloured in my image and cut it out using a CDD Banner die. I am using papers from the Doodlebug Sweet Summer 6x6 collection. A touch of glitter pen, a bow and enamel dots finish off my card.

Wilson's Honey Farm

Howdy -

A good friend was just telling us that he had found a large bee hive on his property. He even got a bee suit to be able to work around the hive safely. Well I must have had that conversation in the back of my mind when I saw this image and just had to color it! This is Wilson's Honey Farm

Love the tiny little bees! I colored with Copics (colors below) and then added some sparkles to the honey. The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye (Miss Caroline) collection. Sewing the layers down with both zig zag and straight stitches. For a sentiment High Hopes Stamps "Have a Honey of a day!" Such a sweet card for a friend! Punched the sentiment out with a EK Success punch, then used a Copic for a faux mat around the punch.

Copic colors used -

Such a happy card! For LOTS of other happy images pop over to the High Hopes Stamps web store HERE and fall for so many for yourself!

Just A Note

This week I decided to challenge myself. I am feeling a little creatively challenged so when that happens I give myself a challenge or in this case 2 in hopes of kicking my creativity in to gear. The first challenge I gave myself was to use a colour of paper I don't use very often - in this case pink, and the second challenge was to do a more clean and simple card than I usually do with the stamp I chose to use. My card features "Prancing Pup" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps and is perfect to send to someone who needs a pick me up.

I stamped this adorable pup on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured him with Copic markers and hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. Next I found some pink patterned paper from Craft Consortium, Lawn Fawn and my stash. I cut the background paper to fit the A2 size card base, rounded the corners and used some fish tail banner dies to cut the other pieces of paper. I played around with layering the banners for a little bit and then added the stamped sentiment in to the mix. The stamp was added with foam pop dots and some enamel dots finish my card.

Card Details
Stamps - Prancing Pup (SS033) - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment - Just A Note (DLL003)

Thanks!

Happy Tuesday!
I needed some "Thank You" cards to send out for the lovely gifts I received at Christmas. I thought this cutie called "Buzzin' By Bear" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps was the perfect image to use. It's a cheery card and with the dull weather we've had, it's sure to bring a smile! I've paired it with 2 different sentiment stamps called "Thanks" and "Flutter'in By".
To start, I stamped my image onto some Copic friendly paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I coloured in my image and cut it out using my Brother Cut N Scan. I took a piece of water-colour paper and using a MFT "Slimline Cloud Edges" and "Drifts and Hills" stencil made my background. I used Distress Oxide ink in Robin's Egg and Cracked Pistachio. Then I decided to add a little fence and some flowers from dies I had in my stash. I popped up the Bear image with foam squares for added dimension. The "Fluttering' By" sentiment actually says "Fluttering' By To Say Hi". I masked off the Hi so I could add the Thanks sentiment and cut them both out using a Banner Tag die.
Copics used:

R02, R22
Y13, Y17, Y18
C6, C7, C9

No Bones Doggy

Howdy -

Once the New Year is here - I am already looking forward to Valentines Day. Love it! It is also my Hubby's Birthday and our Wedding Anniversary so its a big day :0) - Today for High Hopes Stamps I decided to pull out and have some fun with one of the fabulous Valentine Images. Love how it has that vintage school days feel to it. Makes me want to find a shoe box and decorate it for a school room party! Ha!

This is No Bones Doggy  -

Is he adorable or what?? Colored with Copics (colors below) It is really so perfect that the sentiment is part of the image. Easy! Cut out with a Circle die cutter, and then did a faux mat around it with a dark red Copic. Then matted with a Scallop die. The pattern papers aer from My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found collection) All the layers are sewn down with zig zag stitch. Then wrapped a ribbon the papers. Found some mulberry flowers... no red ones though. So I used light pink ones that I colored with a red Copic. It is great to make thing all matchy matchy! A few brads to center the flowers and done!  This one just makes me giggle!

Time To Tidy Up!

Happy Thursday!
Yup..... this is me this week LOL. We spent Christmas up at our Cottage and have been away for 2 weeks. Now I'm back home and it's time to take down all the Christmas decorations and give the house a good tidy up! I love Christmas but dread putting my house back to normal, anybody with me? Meet the adorable "Tidy Up Tillie" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps
I stamped Tillie onto some Copic friendly paper and stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured Tillie in to match papers from the MFT "Tranquil Textures" 6x6 collection. Using dies from CDD Fancy Frames and Kat's Scrappiness Stitched Scallop Nesting Tags, I cut out the designer paper. I popped my image up with foam squares for some dimension. A cute little bow and enamel dots finish off my card.

Hedgehog Smiles

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Mother Nature blessed us with a blizzard so our Christmas got pushed out by a few days but it was good!

I have decided to start the new year with a smile. My card features "Hedgie Stack" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. These two just make me smile and this stamp is one of my favourites. My goal this year is to send out more of this kind of card to bring a smile to whomever needs it.

After stamping these cuties on alcohol marker friendly paper I coloured them with Copic markers and cut them out using a loopy frame die. It is really hard to see in the photo but I used a cloud die cut and some ink to add some clouds in the background. Next time I will use a darker blue ink.
I chose some paper from my stash and Honey Bee Stamps for this card. The flower paper was cut using a banner die and I traced around the outside of the die and cut it for the card stock frame to mount it on and added some ribbon before gluing it down.
For something different, I cut the bottom of the banner again using white card stock and used the negative piece to stamp the sentiment on. Some enamel dots and a bow finish off my card.

Card Details
Stamps - Hedgie Stack (TDG027) - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment - Sending Smiles (G276)
Patterned Paper - Playful Pastels - Honey Bee Stamps, wood paper - stash
