Bunny Blooms!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using Bunny Blooms - T063 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Script Easter Greetings - F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Easter is almost here and this little bunny is about to brighten someone's day!

To make my card this week, I started with Arches Watercolour Paper cut to 5.5" x 4.25". I ran this through my Cuttlebug using Tranquil Tulips Stencil from Simply Cards and PaperCraft. Next, I played with multiple Cosmic Shimmer products and spritzed some water to create this shimmery background. I let this dry overnight. I wanted the embossed tulips to show up more, so using a finger sponge, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet was brushed over top of the raised edges. And of course, there is never enough shimmer so I added some Irridescent Glitter Dust spray as well. Then I glued this directly to the base card of Hammermill Premium 100 lb. Cardstock folded at 5.5" x 4.25". Lastly, I inked around the edges with the same ink.

The main image Bunny Blooms - T063 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Script Easter Greetings - F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) sentiment were stamped using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The main image and sentiment were coloured in with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of my card, both the image and sentiment were attached to the background using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. C.C. Designs - Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots were added to complete the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Bunny Blooms - T063 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Script Easter Greetings - F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Arches Watercolour Paper, Hammermill Premium 100 lb. Cardstock

Stencil: Simply Cards and PaperCraft - Tranquil Tulips Stencil

Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape, Glitter Dust - Irridescent Spray, C.C. Designs - Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Bunny: E35, E34, E33, E31, E30, R30, R24, R20, Eyes (Sakura Glaze - Black)

Flowers and Leaves: V17, V15, V12, YR14, Y17, Y04, G17, G14, G07

Bunny Stack!

 Hello!
Today I'm sharing with you my last Easter card of 2021! Easter is this Sunday and I'm looking forward to sharing it with my family. We are a small family so we can visit under the "Covid rules" in our area of the world. Meet the adorable "Easter Bunny Stack" from High Hopes Stamps. Nothing cuter than a stack of bunnies don't you agree?!!
I stamped my image onto some Copic Friendly paper and coloured it in with my Copic markers. Next I cut out the image using a Stitched Flag Banner. My paper today is from the Doodlebug "Hoppy easter" 6x6 collection. Some glitter pen on the bows and Easter eggs and a variety of enamel dots finish off my card.
I always love to pop up my image using foam squares or tape for a more dimensional look.

Miss Marissa

Howdy - MichelleO here and today for High Hopes Stamps I was looking back through some of my older High Hopes Stamps and found one that always makes me smile. This is "Miss Marissa"

This is a larger image and I love cutting her out and making her 'POP" more on the card. I found some papers from Graphic 45 and colored Miss Marissa with Copics (colors below) and matched her up with the papers. The rich colors just seem to work with that plaid outfit and that huge flower. Before gluing her down I added a couple of Spellbinders border die cuts to the edges of the dotted paper. Borders her well don't you think? She looks almost as if she is standing in front of a window or something. For my sentiment I used "Lg. Fancy Happy Birthday" - fun font right?

Copic colors used -

Hope you got a smile from my Miss Marissa card -

Hat-itude!

I Love when a stamp not only makes me smile but also brings back some fun memories! Gertie, Millie and Hattie from High Hopes Stamps does just that!

The memories are from a pre pandemic shopping trip I was on with my peeps. We were in a craft store around Halloween that had costume pieces.....including hats. One of us looking at the hats and trying one on turned in to all three of us trying on a hat followed by some schenanigans and a whole lot of laughs and fun.

Yes there are pictures to prove it......but I don't think we had quite the same Hat-itude that these three have! I am also seeing a spring card design for these three fun chicks. Meet Gertie, Millie and Hattie!

After stamping these cuties I coloured them with Copic markers and hand fussy cut them. I wanted to keep the design simple for this card because I wanted the "chicks" to be the focus - they are so fun!

The card size itself is a little different because it is more of a vertical format and I usually do square cards. A super talented crafty peep of mine introduced me to this size of card last year and it is fast becoming a favourite. The finished card size is 4.5"w x 5.5"h.

Patterned paper from two different Echo Park pads were perfect for these fun chicks. I love plaid so after cutting it and the card stock to size I glued them down. Next I cut the green paper and card stock, glued them down and added them to the plaid base. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using a fish tail banner and added some matching card stock. Foam pop dots were added to the stamped image before placing them to add some dimension to my card.  Some ribbon and enamel dots finish of my simple design.

Easter Fun!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using Easter Fun - Q023 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Hoppy Easter - H245 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This image reminds me so much of when I was younger. Every year, my mom would make boiled eggs and then we would all sit around the table and put them in the various dies to make some cool colourful eggs. It was always so much fun!

To make my card this week, I used AC White Paper for my base folded at 6" x 6". I combined 2 separate pieces of purple ribbon and some patterned ribbon eggs together using double sided tape. I attached this to Your Next Stamp Designer - Happy Spring paper. Then I attached this directly to the base using double-side tape. The sides were all inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet. The egg embellishments were die cut using my Cuttlebug and Lawn Fawn - Mini Easter Eggs. The top layers were cut from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and coloured with Copic B01 and BG32. The bottom layers were cut from Crafts - Sparkling Stickers  - 02-3068629. I added some glue to the top layer and attached them to the base egg. I attached these directly to the base.

The background for the bunny image was cut using Whimsy - Nested Frames Die Set. The background die was cut from Hot Buy - Recollections - Jewel Tones and them main image cut was from Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. The base frames were attached to the background using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. The main image Easter Fun - Q023 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Hoppy Easter - H245 sentiment were stamped using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. The main image was coloured in with Copic Markers and the sentiment was coloured in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Clear - Wink of Stella was brushed over top to make it sparkle.

To assemble the remainder of my card, I ran the coloured image and sentiment through my Xyron's and then attached them to the base shapes on the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Easter Fun - Q023 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Script Easter Greetings - F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet

Get Well!

It's Tuesday!
Tuesday is my favourite day of the week because it's means it's my turn to post a card for High Hopes Stamps! I decided to add another "Get Well" card to my stash. "Dr Allun" and the "Speedy Recovery Background" made the perfect combination to try to cheer someone up!
I started my card design by stamping the background and colouring it in with my Copic markers. Then using a hexagon die, I cut through the card layers to make a "window" for Dr Allun to peek through. I made a red border for the window using two hexagon dies. Next I stamped, coloured and using my Brother Cut N Scan cut out Dr Allun.
Here's the cute Dr. Allun on the inside of the card backed by some MFT Buffalo Brights paper.
Copics Used:

Busy Mama

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I think this is one of the cutest High Hopes Stamps - it has to be the young bunnies right? This stamp is called "Busy Mama"

It makes the perfect Mother's Day image - but any Spring subject would be great! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some papers from Sandy Lion - it has glitter enhancing that is hard to see. All my layers are sewn down including the High Hopes Sentiment "Hare Raising" Fun sentiment! Then there are two Spellbinders flourish dies in green, and it just needed something more... Digging through some older stash I found three small heart brads, perfect for this fabulous image!

Copic colors used.

Spring Has Finally Sprung

Welcome Everyone;

We have definitely had some spring like weather this past week, even though it isn't officially Spring yet.  That is definitely ok though -- who needs snow, sleet and freezing rain.  Hmm,  now that I have said this, watch the weather turn.

Anyway, for today's card I have used the adorable Spring Bunny Sampler and Spring Has Sprung.  Both are from High Hopes Stamps.

After colouring the image with Copic Markers, I trimmed it to just outside of the square border.  I then die cut a piece of Rose Gold foil with a Square Hearts Die.  My original idea was to put a piece of white cardstock behind the hearts, without the hearts being cut out on the inside and then mount the image.  Alas, I haven't figured that out yet.  That way, I could have popped it up.

Some Nuvo Crystal Drops were added to the center of the hearts.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Spring Bunny Sampler - S176, Spring Has Sprung - F062 -- both from High Hopes Stamps
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock, DP - Welcome Spring - Echo Park, Rose Gold Deco Foil
  • Copic Markers:
    • Bunnies: -- W00 - Warm Gray No. 00, W0 - Warm Gray No. 0, W1 - Warm Gray No. 1, R)) - Pinkish White
    • Grass & Carrot Tops: -- YG17 - Grass Greebm YG13 - Chartreuse, YG11 - Mignonette
    • Carrots: -- YR16 - Apricot, YR15 - Pumpkin Yellow
    • Soil: -- E30 - Bisque, E31 - Brick Beige, E33 - Sand
    • Other: -- R14 - Light Rouge, R17 - Lipstick red, R81 - Rose Pink
      • BV0000 - Pale Thistle, BV000 - Irridescent Mauve, BV00 - Mauve Shadow,
      • E40 - Brick Beige
      • BG0000 - Snow Green
  • Die:  Square Hearts - Spellbinders
  • Nuvo Crystal Drops:  Morning Dew, Calming Aqua
  • Miscellaneous:  Ribbon

Birthday Fishes

I have a lot of men and young men in my life who love fishing. I did some as a kid but it wasn't anything that really stuck with me, although I did love being outside by water. I find it really interesting that a day of fishing always seems to include a story about the big one that got away and it always makes me chuckle.

"Dad's Catch and Cattails" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps are perfect for a birthday card for one of the fishermen in my life. It gave me a chance to not only practice my masculine cards but is also fun for a little bit of tongue in cheek humor. I combined two sentiments (links below) to create this one which I think is perfect for this birthday card.

I stamped and coloured the stamps with Copic markers and hand fussy cut "Dad's Catch" leaving a think white edge. I set him aside and coloured the cattails and added a sunburst background using a stencil and ink. I added a light blue ink to the bottom edge for a water line. Patterned paper from the Gone Camping collection from Carta Bella had the perfect fishing themed paper for this card. I cut it to fit my 5"x 5" base and layered it with card stock.

Next I cleared my desk and pulled out my sticky notes, ink, Misti and the sentiments I wanted to use. I love when I can stretch my supplies and making one sentiment out of two different ones is a great way to do that! I also had to find some patience! because it took me about 6 tries and walking away numerous times to get the sentiment stamped how I wanted it. I am really happy with how it turned out.

I added some twine to the bottom of the card and I didn't have a fish embellishment like I pictured in my head so I cut it out of another piece of paper from the same collection and popped it up with 3D foam pop dots.......the big one that got away <wink>. Some enamel dots finish off my card.

Easter Egg Gift!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using this hoppy little Bunny With Gift - S118 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Script Easter Greetings - F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Look at how "hoppy" he is to share his  decorated egg with a special person! I don't know about you, but I hope it's filled with chocolate. LOL!

To make my card this week, I used Recollections - Hot Buy Pre-Cut Cards for my base folded at 5.5" x 4.25". Next I die cut Hot Buy - Recollections - Spring Posies using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Die. Using some spare ribbon I had, using some double-sided tape, I attached it directly to this die-cut. Then, using double sided tape, I attached this piece directly to the base card. The aqua colour paper is from Hot Buy - Recollections - Jewel Tones. I created this die cut using my Cuttlebug and Gina Marie Designs - Loopy Rectangle Die Set.

The frame for the sentiment was created in Microsoft Word and then printed out onto white cardstock. This was coloured in with ZIG Clean Color Markers - 050 - Yellow and 025 - Pink. I stamped the Bunny With Gift - S118 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) and Script Easter Greetings - F093 sentiment using my MISTI. Using my Brother Scan and Cut, I cut around the image leaving a small white border. This was coloured in with Copic Markers.

To assemble the remainder of my card, I first used some double-side tape to attach the finished sentiment to the bottom of the aqua die cut. 3M VHB - 2 sided tape was added to both pieces and attached to card. Lastly, the completed image was attached to the die cut, using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Bunny With Gift - S118 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Script Easter Greetings - F093 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Craft Smart - Cards and Envelopes, Hot Buy - Recollections - Jewel Tones, Hot Buy - Recollections - Spring Posies

Die Cuts: My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies, Gina Marie Designs - Loopy Rectangle Die Set

Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug, 3M VHB - 2 sided tape

Images coloured with Copic Markers:

Bunny: E35, E34, E33, E31, E30, R30, R20

Egg and Bow: BG72, BG57, BG32, BG11, Y17, Y08, Y04, R83, R81, RV00, RV000

Easter Greetings: ZIG Clean Color Markers - 050 - Yellow, 025 - Pink
