Beautiful Day!

Hi!
Oh my goodness, isn't this little angel adorable?! Meet "Lizabeth Biking Angel" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I'll tell you a little secret..... I want a bike just like this in a fun colour with the basket! Of course it will have to have a bell. Maybe Hubby will read this post and surprise me with one LOL.
To start my card, I stamped the image onto Copic friendly paper with Memento ink in Tuxedo. Before colouring in the image with my Copic Sketch markers, I chose papers from the Doodle Bug "My Happy Place" 6x6 collection. This way I can try to colour matching the chosen papers. I'm using the "Beautiful day" sentiment from High Hopes. A sprinkling of enamel dots finish off my card.

Group Hug Bears

Howdy - MichelleO here today and this week for High Hopes Stamps I went with a fabulous bear hug! This image is "Group Hug Bears

A seriously sweet image! Too adorable. And perfect card for a friend needing a hug! My trio of bears is colored with Copics (colors below) and then cut out with a Circle die cut. I "fuzzed" the edges of the circle with my scissors and then inked. For my pattern paper I found an old 6x6 pad from Bo Bunny Pin cushion collection. I adore that quilted pattern and the colors.

The layers are sewed down and a sentiment also from High Hopes Stamps "Bear Hugs and Kisses" Just made for and too perfect for this image.

Three Pearl Hearts are added for embellishment. Love those little hearts!

Don't Worry

This stamp had me giggling the whole time I was colouring it and all I could think was ... we all get by with a little help from our friends. The ant on the bottom sure is struggling..but look at that smile - through gritted teeth - but it's a smile none the less. I decided to make this card featuring "Drink Lemonade" to add to my stash so I have it on hand when a friend or family member needs a pick me up.

After stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured with Copic markers and hand fussy cut it. After deciding I wanted a picnic scene I found some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn and MFT and cut them to size. I die cut a grass border, clouds and a sun to help create my scene and glued everything down.
Once it was all glued down, I used a circle die to cut a hole in the middle of my scene. I added a card stock circle behind the piece I cut out and added it to the card front with pop dots. Once that was securely attached I glued the stamp to the circle. To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment, added it to card stock and added some enamel dots to three corners.

Just A Note!

Happy Tuesday!
I  love making "generic" cards that you can use for any occasion. I thought "Sweet Shirley Bear" from High Hopes Stamps paired with the HH sentiment called "Just A Note", makes a nice card to send. I spend the summers at our Cottage, so I always like to send a few notes off to friends at home.
First I picked my papers, Echo Park's "For The Record 2" collection. This way I can use my Copic Sketch markers to colour in my stamped image to match. Once Shirley was coloured, I used my Brother Cut N Scan to cut around the image. I used a Gina Marie "Double Looped Oval" die for the background behind Shirley. I inked all the edges of my papers and image with Distress Oxide ink in Gathered Twigs. Some pretty yellow ribbon and a matching bow, finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Bear: E21, E23, E25, E27, R01, R02
Dress & Bow: BG13, BG32, BG34
Apron: C00, C0, C2

Teddy Bear Sampler

Howdy -

Today for High Hopes Stamps a very sweet image. Teddy Bear Sampler. Love how much is going on in this image! And that it is the perfect frame for a sentiment.

I went with pastel colors so those bears would pop on the card. All colored with my Copics (colors below). A piece of pattern paper from my stash as the background. To add a little bling I used a Nuvo paint pen. The center of the frame is cut out to expose the sentiment inside the card. High Hopes Stamps "Beary Special to Me"  Perfect for these cute little bears and all those buzzing bees!

The Copic colors used - yes there were quite a few of them, but it was just so fun to color!

This really was so fun to color! A great happy time coloring.

New Home Wishes

I have a few people in my life who are moving in the near future. These moves will be a fresh or new start for all of them and when I saw the "Spring Birdhouse Garden" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps I thought it would be perfect for a new home card for one of them. I had the white picket fence saying come to mind when I saw it so I decided to colour it up that way. I am wishing all of them the best in their moves and the new memories they will make.

I stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on alcohol marker friendly paper and coloured with Copic markers. Next, I cut the stamp out using a rectangle die. I decided to do a clean and simple style A2 size card and found some wood grain paper to match the greys in my colouring. I cut card stock to fit the card base and to mount the stamp onto and glues everything down. Then using my Misti, I stamped the sentiment and put it on card stock. Some ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Dropping You A Line!

Hello!!
This stamp called "Time Well Spent" from High Hopes is one of the first stamps I purchased years ago. It still is one of my favourites! It just warms my heart! You can tell these two are the best of friends and don't go anywhere without each other! I used the HH sentiment "Dropping You A Line" so I can add this card to my Birthday stash!
After stamping my image onto Copic Friendly paper, I coloured it in with my Copic Sketch markers. I'm using papers from the Doodlebug "Puppy Love" 6x6 collection. Using A Gina Marie "Big and Little Pierced Chain Rectangle" die, I cut the image out. A bit a twine and a large brad finish off my card.

Cole's Laid Up

Howdy - MichelleO here today -

Went to make my High Hopes Stamps Card this week and this image just seemed good for me this week. All though my issue isn't leg... its hand/arm. LOL This is Cole's Laid Up -

We had an car accident this last week, minding our own business and BAM - and we are fine but man I am sore and my hand is still hurting and hard to color... but I kept going cuz I really wanted to see this little guy all colored up and pretty.

I colored with my Copics (colors below) And then found some papers from Echo Park Just be You collection. I LOVE the patterns and colors. I sewed down layers with my sewing machine - and then used High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Back on Your Feet" - perfect!

And with that flower pattern paper, I went and found more flowers - mulberry roses, Prima green flowers and Martha Steward leaves punches.

This one makes me grin... even in pain! LOL

Copic colors used -

Just Cruisin'

No long road trip is complete without these famous words....are we there yet? Whether it is a family heading out on vacation or two friends going for a long drive it just seems to happen at least once on a long trip. When we were kids we always asked at least once and now as an adult it happens when I'm on a long drive with a friend. This usually brings a good laugh and a conversation about the times we did it to our parents as kids and creates new memories and laughs. "Just Cruisin'" brings back some of these wonderful memories and is perfect for a card for one of my long drive, road trip friends.

After stamping on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured with Copic markers and hand fussy cut the stamp. I set it aside and cut out a tree from a house and tree die and added some ink to it. Next I cut some big puffy clouds and set them aside. Patterned paper that looked like a sunrise was perfect for my background so I cut it out using a circle die. I cut a piece of white card stock to fit my card base and after centering the circle die I cut it out and glued it down to the card stock base. Before I built the scene, I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment directly on the card stock.
I cut a piece of grey card stock to look like the road and after sizing it to the height I wanted, glued it and the tree down. A black marker was used to edge the circle and tree to help the layers pop. I added the clouds and stamped image and added some enamel dots to finish off this clean and simple card.

Make A Wish!

Happy Tuesday!
Everyone needs a cute Elephant in their Birthday card stash, don't ya think?!! This cutie is called "Ele-fun" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This stamp is easy to colour and helps to make a card quick! Love how she is holding the cupcake. I thought the sentiment "Make A Wish" went perfectly with this sweet stamp!
I started my card by choosing papers from the Honey bees Stamps "Birthday Bash" 6x6 collection. Next I stamped the image onto some Copic friendly paper using Memento ink, and coloured it in to match the papers I chose. I used my Brother Cut N Scan to cut out the image and popped it up with some foam tape for added dimension. A White gel pen made some polka dots and some Stickles added a bit of sparkle.

High Flyin' Mouse

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I had some fun this week with a "High Flyin' Mouse" for High Hopes Stamps!

I went for a "cute" fun card with colors that were spring-y! Papers are all from Echo Park Just be You collection. Love all the patterns and they all match perfectly. I then colored my sweet little mouse with my Copics (colors below) and then went a bit nuts with my zig zag stitching on my sewing machine. The texture is just too fun.

Used my Nuvo white paint pen for some highlights in the image, and then added some fun enamel dots to the paper. For the sentiment I went with High Hopes Stamps "Dot Happy Birthday to You!" It is such a fun font for a sweet card. Just a fun happy card!

Note From A Hedgy

I love having cards on hand to send as a pick me up or just to say hi to someone in my life who needs a smile or to know I am thinking of them. I can't help but smile along with "Hedgy In Tulip" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps as he greets his butterfly friend and I hope this brings a smile to the recipient as well.

I stamped on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured with Copic markers and hand fussy cut the stamp leaving a very thin white edge. Those who follow me know I use manicure scissors for fussy cutting but this week I took a new pair of scissors for a spin......I like them but I will have to get used to them.
Next I cut a piece of white card stock and blended some Perfect Plum ink in an oval shape in the background.
Next I put the card stock in my Misti and stamped the sentiment and rounded the corners on the right side. I set that aside and cut coloured card stock to fit my A2 size base and cut a notebook edge on the side and on the white card stock piece and rounded the two right corners. I didn't like how the two looked when they laid on top of each other so I put the cut off piece from the die back in to the coloured card stock piece and glued everything down.
I glued the stamp into the middle of the ink blend and added a few clear dots to finish off the card.

Dreams Come True!

 Hello!
This card just makes me feel happy! The adorable "Annie Block" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, with the cute blue and yellow papers just lifts my mood! Annie is just looking out her window, day dreaming about life. I thought the HH sentiment called "All Dreams Come True" was perfect for Annie!
To start, I stamped the image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured her in with my Copic Sketch markers. Next I cut her out using a Stitched Square die. I chose papers from the Craft Consortium's "Bright Blooms" 6x6 collection. I love the blue and yellow combination and backed all the designer papers with coordinating cardstock. Crystal Stickles on her polka dots and yellow bows add a touch of sparkle. Some enamel dots finish off my card.

Handstand Frog

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I am loving the Bright Spring colors right now. A favorite is green and purple! And this cute little frog is perfect for those colors! This is "Handstand Frog" - he so much fun!

I colored with my Copics, and went with bold colors. Then cut  out with an oval die, with a faux mat with my purple Copic. My papers are from my older scraps. Love the fun Mid Century feel of these. I sewed them with a zig zag stitch.

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Just Hoppin' by" - fun for any bouncing little critter.

Then still on my desk I had a jar of mulberry flowers - in that perfect purple color. So three of those, with green brad centers, then some Martha Stewart Rose punch leaves. Love how it all came together with these colors.
