Work of Art!

Hello!
It's the last day of the "Christmas in July" over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs. I'm finishing off the month with this adorable snowman stamp called "Making Friends" from High Hopes Stamps. Snowmen and Penguins are my favourite winter "friends" so of course I think his Snowman is just so super cute.
The paper is from an older Echo Park collection called "I Love Winter". I just love the blues and reds in this collection! I added some Diamond Stickles for a bit of sparkle and a few enamel dots as well. The sentiment from HH called "Dot Warm Winter Wishes" is perfect for the front of my card.
On the inside I used the HH sentiment called "Work of Art". I absolutely love this saying! It's so true as you really do put all your love into building a snowman!

Oh come let us adore him..

Happy Sunday!!

It's still a very warm July over here in The Netherlands, but as always for this month I am ready to show you my next Christmas in July card!
I wanted to have a more traditional card for my parents this year, so I made a red and green card for them. The image I've used is called "Let Us Adore Him". It's one of the older stamps, but I like this one very much!

The base of the card is Bazzill white cardstock. Other cardstock colors are Bazzill Cajun and Bazzill Capers. I used those colors for the pointsetta (a Leane Creatief die) as well.
Dessinpapers are from Basic Grey.
The sentiment is a Frisian one. Here in the Netherlands we have a second language and I am blessed to be raised with that language as well ;)

If you're not quite ready for Christmas cards yet, we also have a new Modes of Transportations release, check it out HERE!

Magic of Christmas

Welcome HH fans;

From Santa and Rudolph, to Jack Frost and Frosty the Snowman, I have always found Christmas to have a magical air about it.  It also seems that it is the time that families and friends gather for some Christmas Cheer.

For today's Christmas Inspiration here at High Hopes Stamps, I have used Santa & Rudy.  After stamping the image, I coloured it with Copic Markers.  Nuvo Fresh Snowfall Glitter Accents was added to the trim on Santa's hat

Merry Christmas

Welcome HH Fans;

I really like it when a stamp can be used in more than one way.  For today's post, I have not just one card, but two using the Three Pane Christmas  stamp from High Hopes Stamps.  Polar White Flower Soft was added to Santa's hat.

The first card is a CAS layout.  After the image was stamped, I coloured it with Copic Markers.

The second card, is a completely different layout. I ran the Holiday Magic Embossing Folder through my die cutting machine before adding silver foil using the GoPress Machine.  It was cut at an angle and a piece was added to the top and bottom.  The bottom half doesn't show up well in the photo.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Three Pane Christmas, Merry Christmas (High Hopes Stamps)
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock, DP - A Perfect Christmas (Echo Park); Christmas Time (Carta Bella)

Candy Cane Wishes

This sweet mouse seems to have her hands full with this extra large candy cane doesn't she?!
My second post for the Christmas in July theme features "Merry Mouse". I think she is just adorable with her elf outfit and of course her candy cane.

This sweet mouse is coloured with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut. I set her aside and cut my paper layers, including the dotted oval background behind her. I added silver wink of stella to the bells on her outfit and Stickles to the pom pom on her hat.
Next, I masked off the part of the sentiment I wanted with post it notes and held my breath. It took a couple tries but I got the portion I wanted - I think it is perfect for this stamp.
A simple bow and some glittered gumdrops finish off my card.

Card Recipe
Stamp: Merry Mouse - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Sentiment - Candy Cane and Mistletoe - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
Patterned Paper: Winter Playground - Bo Bunny

You didn't think he would wear his Santa Suit fishing did you? But that hat... well every guy has that one hat they wear 24/7 -

Little penguin

Happy Sunday!

Another Sunday here with summer temperatures and we're having a Christmas in July theme..
No suprise my MOJO was gone..
While I was working on a shaker card, it just didn't seem right the way it turned out.. so I'll try to get it to work for next week (fingers crossed)..

So for this week I ran out of time and had to make a simple card. Simple but fun! I really like it!
I chose this cute Package Packin' Penguin (cute and quick to colour ;) ) for my card along with the Penguin Greeting sentiment..

The dessinpaper is from My Minds Eye (2012 Winterwonderland collection), I found out I have a lot of that collection, hahaha... perhaps turquoise is my favorite colour??
And I added some litlle wooden stars too (my favorite too!)

Copics used:

Well, I'm off to find my mojo again..
Have a great weekend!

And don't forget you can find more inspiration on our Facebook Page, Intagram and Pinterest! I might find my mojo there!
