Warm Friendship

I love adding stamps to my collection that make me smile and "Turtle Friends" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps does just that. I smile because it brings back a special memory for me. We were having hubby's family and our son and his girlfriend over for dinner.

When our son and his girlfriend came he walked in to the house with a grin and his hand behind his back. He said hi and then presented me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.....just because.........sweet right?! And to make the day even sweeter, my hubby had brought me flowers earlier in the day too! Yup, I was one spoiled lady that night.

I stamped my image on alcohol marker friendly paper I coloured it with Copic markers and cut it out with a square xstitch die. Next I cut patterned paper from the the Coffee and Friends pad by Echo Park to fit my 5.5" x 5.5" card base. I added each piece of patterned paper to matching card stock and glued everything down. Then I stamped the sentiment, cut it out with a fish tail banner die and mounted it on to card stock. A stitched ribbon bow and enamel dots finish off my card.

Hedgies Happy Birthday!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a birthday card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Hedgie Stack - TDG027 for the image and Mini Sentiment Set #1 - HLL001 for the sentiment. These little hedgies are excited to wish someone special a very Happy Birthday!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 5.5". I cut the Crafter's Companion - Luxury Cardstock - Gold cardstock background paper to the size of 5.5" x 5.5" and adhered it directly to the base using double-sided tape. AITOH Origami - Print Chiyogami - Butterflies paper was cut to the size of 5.25" x 5.25" and glued on top of the gold paper. Using my Couture Creations - Go Power and Emboss and PinkFresh Essentials: Folk Edge Squares, I die cut another square from Crafter's Companion - Luxury Cardstock - Gold and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I popped up the gold die cut onto the floral background using U-Line double-sided tape. I stamped the main image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black.

The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I used a Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen to create some more texture in the fur by just dabbing it everywhere. I'm hoping that it looks like little spikes at the end of their fur. I applied U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the coloured image and popped it up onto the gold die-cut. I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. Using a 3/4" punch, I punched out the circle surrounding the sentiment. Then, using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time - Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, I die cut a slightly larger circle out of a scrap piece of gold paper from Crafter's Companion - Luxury Cardstock - Gold. I ran the sentiment through my Xyron Create a Sticker and attached it directly to the gold circle. Using some U-Line double-sided tape, I popped it up onto the coloured image. Lastly, to complete my card, I added in some PinkFresh Studio - Essentials Jewel Mix and flowers gems from the Dollar Store.

Stamps: Hedgie Stack - TDG027 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Mini Sentiment Set #1 - HLL001 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Willow!

Hello!
I'm popping in today to share my card using the adorable "Willow" from the "Spring Fever" release over at High hopes Stamps. Isn't she so pretty?! I sure wish I could grow flowers that tall!
I started my card by stamping the image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured Willow in using my Copic Sketch markers. I decided to paper piece her dress, so I stamped her again onto my designer paper and fussy cut out the dress. My papers today are from the Kaisercraft "Sea Breeze" 6x6 collection. After cutting the image out with a Gina Marie Double Ropes Oval, I then glued her dress onto her body. The "Smell The Flowers" sentiment also from High Hopes, seemed to be perfect for this image! A splattering of gems finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E01, E21, R20
Hair: W5, W7, W10
Flowers: BG45, BG49, Y35, Y38
Butterfly: RV02, RV04

Fireman Matthew

Howdy - MichelleO here today - Fireman Matthew is an adorable hero don't you think? This guy is a great image for any birthday but especially a "guy card".

I colored him with my Copics (colors below) and then shaded with pencils.  I really love the way that the pencils give a dusty dirty look for a working fireman. I went pretty simple with the pattern paper, found an older Basic Grey paper, with a yellow scrap and all placed on a black card stock base. I like the worn rusted look of the pattern paper with this one. I matted my handsome fireman with black card stock and then sewed down all the layers.

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Birthday Emergency" - love it! Especially for those with a "few" candles on their cake! LOL

And then to add that pop... some Nuvo Glitter for that splash of water coming from our fireman's hose!

Copic colors used -

Love this guy! There are so many I love from High Hope Stamps! I have a top 100 I'm in love with.. plus a few.. LOL To see all the fun at High Hopes Stamps pop over to the web site HERE

To Cheer You

Confession from a card maker....I'm a hugger. I love giving hugs and receiving hugs from family and friends - I miss them. The pandemic has put a kibosh on that over the last few years so the only hugs I can give are in a card! I love to have cards in my stash to send on a whim or just because.

For this hug in a card I have used the "Momma's Love" stamp from the "Spring Fever" re-release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps. This Momma looks like she is comforting her little one with a hug so I think it is perfect for a hug in a card don't you?

After stamping this sweet image on alcohol marker friendly paper I coloured it with Copic markers, cut it out in a rectangle shape and used a corner punch to round the corners and soften the feel of the stamped image. I wanted my card to have a soft feel so I chose some patterned paper from the Flower Market and Spiffy Speckles pads from Lawn Fawn. I chose to keep the design of this A2 size card quite simple so the focus is on the stamp. Some ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Somebunny Loves You!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Bunny Blossoms - TDG024 for the image and Some Bunny - FDG032 for the sentiment. I just love this super adorable little bunny taking time to smell the flowers. Spring is here, but the winter snow keeps playing tricks on us still. LOL! We just had another snow storm the other day. I thought April was supposed to bring Spring showers, not Spring snow!!!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock - White, cut and scored to be 6" x 6". I cut the Recollections - Matte Gold Foil cardstock background paper to the size of 6" x 6" and adhered it directly to the base using double-sided tape. Crafts Designer Paper - 02-3093268 was cut to the size of 5.75" x 5.75" and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot. I applied U-Line double-double sided tape and popped the paper onto the gold backing. Using my Couture Creations - Go Power and Emboss and Waffle Flower - Nesting Square dies, I die cut another square from Recollections - Matte Gold Foil cardstock and Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I popped up the gold square onto the bunny background and stamped the main image onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black.

The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I though I'd go out of my comfort zone this week to create this sky with a variety of different colours. I thought it still needed something more so I added in some clouds using a PrimaColor Pencil - White. I also added in some extra fur with PrimaColor Pencil - Beige. Once, I was satisfied with the sky, I added U-Line double-sided tape to the back of it and it too was popped up onto the card. The sentiment was stamped onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black. I fussy cut around it and then applied it to a small piece of Recollections - Matte Gold Foil cardstock using repositionable tape. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around the image with a slight border. I coloured around the circle stamped image with RV000 and then used a black marker to go all around the edges. I applied U-Line double-sided tape and popped it up onto the gold die-cut. Lastly, 2 layers of the U-Line double-sided tape were applied to the right side only of the sentiment and glue to the left and attached it to the base coloured paper to finish off the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Bunny Blossoms - TDG024 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Some Bunny - FDG032 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, AC Cardstock - White, Recollections - Matte Gold Foil cardstock, Crafts Designer Paper - 02-3093268

Die Cuts: Waffle Flower - Nesting Square dies

Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, U-Line double-sided tape, Couture Creations - Go Power and Emboss, Brother Scan and Cut, Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen

Image coloured with Copic Markers:

Rabbit: E57, E55, E53, E51, E50, E35, R30, R22, R21, R20 (Eyes - Sakura Glaze - Black, Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen), PrimaColor Pencil - Beige (PC997)

Love You More!

Happy Tuesday!
I'm in love with this stamp called "Turtle Friends"! These cuties are from the "Spring Fever" re-release over at High Hopes Stamps.  They are so versatile! I made a "love" card but you could use this for an anniversary, birthday, Valentine's Day......... the possibilities are endless!
I stamped the "Turtle Friends" onto Copic friendly paper and coloured it in with my Copic Sketch markers to match with papers from the Doodle Bug "Hello Sunshine" 6x6 collection. Then using a Gina Marie Arched Stitched Tag, I cut the image out. This tag is actually longer but using the die I cropped off part of the length. I popped both the image and "Love You" sentiment up with foam squares for dimension. All the pink flowers have some glitter pen added to them although it's hard to see in the picture. Some burlap ribbon, a triple twine bow, flower and enamel dots finish off my card.
Copics Used:

Hedgie Stack

Howdy - MichelleO here  - and today for High Hopes Stamps I colored up a little "Hedgie Stack"  All though while coloring it struck me.... I don't think I've ever seen a real hedgehog. LOL They are not common here in Texas but read that they are starting to be found - especially as pets. Anyway back to my card - This Hedgie Stack is really a sweet image especially for a Spring image!

Now despite the thunderstorm warnings going off on my phone and the sky getting darker,  I decided to go with bright sunny happy colors! I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then dug out some pattern papers from Graphic 45's Secret Garden collection.  A border punch from Ek Success all sewn together and layered on white card stock base. The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Spring is in the Air" punched out with a Ek Success ticket punch, then edged with a Copic marker. It seemed to me it needed just a bit more... oh I love my Nuvo Decors! The White dots were just the pop it needed.

Spring Fever

Fall is my favourite time of year .....but there is something to be said for spring. After a long, dreary, dark winter it feels so good when the days start to get longer and the mountains of snow start to melt. There is nothing better then those first few days when the temperatures are above freezing, the sky is blue and sun is shining and feels soooo warm! Something about these days makes my heart happy and my insides giddy....I know, weird right?

I have a girlfriend who loves to garden and the "Egg Drop" stamp from the "Spring Fever" re-release at High Hopes reminds me of her.....okay she is like this with plants not eggs but the happy dance she does is hard not to join in with. I hope you will join us in our spring happy dance!

I stamped the image on alcohol friendly paper, coloured her with Copic markers, added some clouds using a cloud die, ink and a dauber and cut her out using a pleated lace die. I set her aside and stamped my sentiment and cut it out with a fish tail banner die and cut a piece of matching card stock at the same time. Patterned paper from the Spiffy Speckles collection by Lawn Fawn was perfect for my image and card design so I cut it to fit the 5.5" x 5.5" card base. For the purple piece, I cut a scallop border using a die to add a bit of interest to my design. Some flowers and enamel dots finish off my card.

Hoppy Easter Bunny!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Carrot Patch - TDG029 for the image and Hoppy Easter! - E038 for the sentiment. We always looked forward to Easter time every year because we knew we would be colouring all of the Easter eggs with our mom in all different colours. It was always such a fun time!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb., cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25". I die cut the background papers from Echo Park - Welcome Easter cardstock using My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies and my Cuttlebug. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Spiced Marmalade was used to ink around all of the edges of both die cuts. I applied U-Line double-double sided tape and popped both papers onto the base card. Using the same set of dies, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. I stamped the main image onto this die cut and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers. I used a black marker to add in more details to the butterflies and also to add a couple of antennas. U-Line double-side tape was applied to the back of the coloured image and it was popped up into the centre of the orange rectangle. Lastly, to finish it off, I added in a few YNS Tropical Paradise Gumdrops.

Happy Easter!

Hi!
Look at this cutie!!!! Meet the adorable "Garden Lamb" from the "Spring Fever" re-release over at High Hopes Stamps! I love Spring when all the plants are sprouting and baby animals are being born. That little chick is sure to be telling his friend all about hatching out of an egg LOL.
I chose papers today from the Doodle Bug "Happy Easter" 6x6 collection. After stamping my image onto Copic friendly paper, I coloured my images in using my Copic Sketch markers. Using a CDD "Fancy Frame" die, I cut my image out. I popped the image up with foam squares for added dimension. A few polka dots on the butterflies with a white gel pen make them so sweet! Ribbon and a bow finish off my card!
I decorated the inside with more of the designer papers and added the High Hopes sentiment called "Blessed Easter Script". It's always fun to decorate the card inside and adds an extra surprise for the recipient.

Momma's Love

Howdy -

SPRING!! I love Spring! All the green, the flowers and the baby animals! Today for High Hopes Stamps I am using a perfect Spring Image from the new re-release Spring Fever. This is Momma's Love - so sweet!

Colored the cute little chicks with my Copics (colors below) and then found papers from Kaisercraft's Secret Garden collection. I layered three of the pattern papers on a white card stock base, after sewing them all together with a straight stitch. My image and the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Spring to Follow" were cut out and then created a faux mat with a dark pink Copic.  I then happened across a old Fiskar's punch of a bird - seemed it was meant to see it as I love it with the Spring image. I added three Nuvo Decor White Paint Dots.

Copic colors used -

I just love the Spring colors and feel. For more fun and pretty images make sure to visit the High Hopes Stamps web store HERE and fall for lots more images!

Happy Easter

Easter is just around the corner but I had to sneak in an extra card when I saw the "Carrot Patch" stamp in the "Spring Fever" re-release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

While I was colouring the stamp, I had lots of memories come flooding back of Easter preparations as a child. My brothers and I got to dye eggs and often had contests - like most colourful, most funky, most silly etc. We always had a lot of fun and our fingers were just as colourful as the eggs when we were done. After that, we had to find our favourite hat and leave it on the table so the "Easter Bunny" knew where to put our treats and then he would hide them for us to find the next morning. So many fun memories......all coming back from colouring a stamp.. <smile>

After stamping this cutie on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured him with Copic markers and hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. I wasn't planning on fussy cutting this one but it went better with my design to fussy cut it so I did. I combined patterned paper from Recollections and Craft Consortium to create the design and added them to the 5"x 5" card base.

Next I used a die to cut a grass strip, tulips and a fence to help add a spring feel to the card. All of the paper edges are inked with antique linen distress ink to help them stand out. I stamped and cut the sentiment and added some enamel dots to finish off the card.

Card Recipe

Ellie & Friends!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made an Easter card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Ellie & Friends - TDG025 for the image and Happy Easter! - F096 for the sentiment. We are celebrating our new "Spring Fever Release" this month and who couldn't love this adorable image!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of AC Cardstock - White, cut and scored to be 6" x 6". I cut the flower cardstock from Echo Park - Welcome Easter at 6" x 1.75" and Lawn Fawn - Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper to 6" x 4.5". I applied double-side tape and adhered both pieces directly to the base. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet ink was used to ink around all of the edges of the base card. Using My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out and my Cuttlebug, I die cut Momenta - Cardstock and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber. 3M double-sided tape was applied to the back of this and it was popped up onto the base card.

Using PinkFresh Studios - Essentials: Blanket Stitched Square Die Set and my Cuttlebug, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I stamped the main image onto this die cut and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers and then U-Line double-side tape was applied to the back of it. This was popped up over top of the yellow square.

I fussy cut around the sentiment and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wilted Violet. I ran it through my Xyron Create a Sticker and applied it to the Momenta - Cardstock and fussy cut around it again. I applied Scrapbook Adhesives - 3D Foam Strips to the back of the sentiment layers and added it to the bottom right of the card. Lastly, I added in 3 DoodleBug Design Inc. - Sprinkles Spring Assortment to complete the card.
